I made my team on hard. Not going to lie I think I spent way too much time trying to make my dream fantasy team and I think I did great. This team can easily make it to nationals an I’m very confident they could win it. The team’s philosophy is that I wanted a team that had the fire power on offense to break through any defense and I also wanted a stable defense so the rug doesn’t get pulled from under us. The team consists of Setter- Atsumu Miya (9.0) Easily the best server in the show, top 2 setter in the show. Wing spiker(ace)-Kiyoomi Sakusa(10.0) He is the best ace in Japan, he is on the best team in japan. His flexible wrists make his serves and spikes so much more dangerous. Wing spiker #2. Kotaro Botuko-(9.0) He might not be a top 3 ace anymore, but he is still an absolute monster and a nightmare to deal with. He wide variety of attacks are insane and it makes him unpredictable. His defense and blocking are nothing to overlook either. Wing spiker #3(opposite)- Daichi Sawamura(7.5) His leadership and defense ability really makes him so special, As we see him as karasunos back bone. Middle Blocker #1- Takanobu Aone(7.5) His is on the main reason why Date Tech’s Iron wall is so strong. His soul crushing blocks and ability to read players are great. Middle blocker #2- Yoshitomo Atema (5.5) He is about 6’2 which good height in the tsubakira/karasuno he is a good decoy. Even though he didn’t get any blocks he was able to keep up with the spikes and I think by time this team gets to nationals he will improve. Libero- Arata Tsuchiyu(5.0) I think he is a good pickup at libero because in the jozhenji/Karasuno match he was a solid player who can receive pretty well for his skill. He might not be the best but with the players he is around he is bond to get better. Bench consists of Yudai Hyakuzawa, Kazuhito Narita, and Hisashi Kinoshita. I completely agree with your bench so I decide to use it too. I think this team could make it to nationals just from the sheer star power from sakusa, bokuto, and atsumu also with the help from aone and daichi really helps round out the defensive side of the team too. I know that Arata and Atema aren’t on the same level of skill as the rest, but as they train and play to go to nationals I can definitely see them improving to be great players.

an Update to the List after almost 2 years, I added: - Players that were never included from old Teams (Inarizaki High, Kamomedai High) - a new school we saw in the anime (Sarukawa Tech High) - some new Player from another volleyball anime (2.43) (Seiin High and Fukuho Technical High) Inarizaki High Heisuke Riseki Wing Spiker/Pinch Server 6.5 Yūto Kosaku Wing Spiker/Pinch Server 5.5 Ren Ōmimi Middle Blocker 7.0 Michinari Akagi Libero 7.5 Inarizaki High Heisuke Riseki Wing Spiker/Pinch Server 6.0 Yūto Kosaku Wing Spiker/Pinch Server 5.5 Ren Ōmimi Middle Blocker 7.0 Michinari Akagi Libero 7.5 Hitoshi Ginjima Wing Spiker 7.5 Sarukawa Tech High Itaru Shiramine Setter 7.5 Kenrō Fukatani Wing Spiker 6.5 Iori Kanazawa Wing Spiker 6.0 Hisahiko Wakura Middle Blocker 6.5 Tomonari Shiga Middle Blocker 5.0 Tomokazu Wajima Libero 7.0 Sōji Yamashiro Wing Spiker 5.5 Kamomedai High Sachirō Hirugami Middle Blocker 8.5 Seiin High (from 2.43 seiin koukou danshi volley bu) Kimichika Haijima Setter 8.5 Yuni Kuroba Wing Spiker 8.0 Akito Kanno Wing Spiker 6.5 Shinichiro Oda Wing Spiker 6.5 Naoyasu Uchimura Wing Spiker 6.0 Misao Aoki Middle Blocker 7.5 a Yusuke Okuma Middle Blocker 6.5 Kazuma Hokao Libero 5.5 Fukuho Technical High (from 2.43 seiin koukou danshi volley bu) Tomoki Kakegawa Setter 6.5 Subaru Mimura Outside Hitter 8.5 Keita Yanome Outside Hitter 7.0 Kohei Tokura Outside Hitter 6.0 Ryudai Jinno Outside Hitter/pinch server 4.5 Jungo Takasugi Middle blocker 7.0 Issei Asamatsu Middle blocker 6.5 Yuhi Sawatari Libero 6.5 If you disagree please leave a comment If you did a new Team with these players do so too

Hard: 53.5 pts 5pts for bench Team Philosophy: Matured and Experienced Setter: Toru Oikawa (8.5) Aoba Johsai Outside Hitter 1: Shinsuke Kite (7) Inarizaki Outside Hitter 2: Daichi Sawamura (7) Karasuno Outside Opposite Hitter: Wakatoshi Ushijima (10) Shiratorizawa Libero: Morisuke Yaku (8) Nekoma Middle Blocker 1: Takanobu Aone (7.5) Date Tech Middle Blocker 2: Kazuma Bobata (5) Johzenji Bench 1(Pinch Server): Tadashi Yamaguchi (5.5 - 3 [bench] 2.5) Karasuno Bench 2 (Middle Blocker): Soma Oyasu (3.5 - 3 [bench] .5) Ohgininami Bench 3 (Pinch Server): Aoi Himekawa (5.0 - 3 [bench] 2) Tsubakihara (I don’t know if having both Ushijima and Daichi on my team would be a problem since there is only supposed to be one outside opposite hitter but if it is a problem imagine I switched out Daichi for Yamato Sarukui from Fukorodani) My starting line up consists of five 3rd years and only two second years. My philosophy was to pick not only players with much experience but to pick the more mature on-court players of the bunch. Someone like Bokuto who is a third year would most likely not fit in this team's dynamic as he is too emotional and sporadic. While the middle blockers aren’t the best of the bunch, with solid defensive players like Daichi, Kite, and Yaku, I think they would be able to more than make up for the slight lack in blocking power provided by Aone and Kazuma. And funnily enough although both Daichi and Kite aren’t seen to be the most predominant spikers on their respective teams, the addition of having Ushijima as my Outside Opp. Hitter along with Oikawa’s setts would be more than enough to cover up those loose ends. To me both Yaku and Nishinoya are on pretty equal footing when it comes to being a Libero, but the want for Daichi to be on my time overcame my want to have Kuroo on my team so I couldn’t take the Karasuno libero. And to finally top off my starting lineup, Oikawa’s ability to gage and comprehend his opponents as well as bring out the best in his teammates would only make Ushijima better and raise the skill from Daichi and Kite, and I’m sure Aone and Kazuma would be seeing more action because of this. Not to mention Oikawa’s monster serve with insane control and immense power that can interrupt the flow of a game at a moments notice is a huge asset to the team. When it comes to my bench I was looking for more pinch servers, hence why I took on Yamaguchi and Aoi from Tsubakihara. Yamaguchi’s developing jump float is still a strong asset and Aoi’s high underhand serve, while not the most effective serve on this team, can also help to create a momentum shift if needed. While Soma Oyasu from Ohgininami is by no means a stand out player, even being one of the lowest rated on the list, I thought that if one position on this team could use the backup it would be in the Middle Blocker position. I would have loved to have taken Hyakuzawa onto my bench but unfortunately him and Yamaguchi would be too expensive for a Hard Mode team build, so I stuck with keeping Yams. Overall I think this is a well constructed team with the resources given, and while there are definitely weaknesses in the team, I believe that the maturity and cognitive thinking of the team members will be able to prevail in the end.

Ok so this is my lineup Hard mode Philosophy slogan (keep calm and carry on) keep calm = is to remain level headed in times of turmoil. Carry on = is to act normal and rise above all the bad that may be happening. Setter: keiji akaashi (8) Outside: kōrai hoshiumi (9.5) Outside: shinsuke kita (7) Opposite: daichi sawamura (7.5) Mb: issei matsukawa(7) Mb: kōji hiroo(6.5) L: yaku morisuke(8) Bench same as yours (i got lazy) Basically my team is calm and strategic And its an all rounded team with very good defence on yaku, daichi, kita, hoshiumi, and it has good blocking the reason i choose issei and kōji was because they are very consistent blockers that are calm. pair this team with the strategic and calm akashi this team would honestly reach finals on nationals the only thing to exploit is probably the middle blockers but then again its still hard to do it because they are consistent and if the enemy do get pass their blocks the floor defence would still be their and my floor defence is honestly top 3 and my offence is good because literally anybody on my team can consistently score a point. And your probably wondering if my team is calm what about hoshiumi and yaku? Well i got daichi and kita to calm them down if they get frustrated and that is my team. The all rounded team that would honestly terrorize the nationals.

Nice team mate solid serves in Korai, Hiroo, Kita, Akaashi and Kinoshita as well as superb floor defence, only critics is that your team lacks a little bit of fire power with only Korai as your main offensive weapon therefore narrowing down the options for the opposing teams blockers, though Korai is a master is the air being able tool blockers and has precise aim I do worry about his stamina and mental toughness then again i don't because he is a beast. Bringing in Yudai for one of your OH or OP is rough on the teams defence and court leadership as well as for a middle who are experienced blockers though he does have high offensive power he is an easy target for experienced opponents. I worry about some players who might feel responsible for the way the game is going like Akaashi or Korai in not getting the point but am relieved when I see Daichi, Kita and Yaku who are very supportive and strict also the teams stamina and its poor substitute options I think the bench let you down here and you may even find it hard to make it out of the prefecture. With all that love the team and its concept 🙏❤️

Hard Mode: Philosophy: Impenetrable Wall Setter: Toru Oikawa (8.5) (My captain, the best setter to build around for a new team, maximizes all players efficiency) Outside: Takeru Nakashima (8) (Decent receives and a great reliable ace) Outside: Shoehei Fukunaga (7) (A great receiver) Opposite: Daichi Sawamura (7.5) (Another piece to make sure the ball doesn't touch the ground) Mb: Takanobu Aone (7.5) (The great wall which will stop all) Mb: Yudai Hyakuzawa (6.5) (The weak spot on the team, but Aone will help him learn blocks and Oikawa will maximize his offense) L: Motoya Komori (The best libero in haikyuu) Bench: Kazumasa Hanayama (2.5) (Solid setter who can play his role) Aoi Himekwa (2) (Roof serve for when we get to nationals) Kinoshita (1) (Decent jump floater) This team has almost no one with problematic personalities (only Oikawa) and can be held together by Takeru, Dacihi, and Komori. This team would have the best receives of any team we've seen and would have a formidable wall. After that its up to Oikawa to bring out the best offense possible in players like Takeru and Hyakuzawa. My bench is focused around serves while still having a backup setter if worst comes to worst.

Your team has very solid floor defence, i can see a bit of a Nekoma playstyle with no one being a superstar but everyone is strong and supportive together. I think this team may have trouble against Inarizaki and Kamomedai with the amount of star power they have in stronger hitters and a better wall. I think your hitters lack height and experience to assist Aone in the wall so my best advice would be to use spread shift, when the blockers spread out across the whole net it’s not the best formation for fast attacks in the middle but having Aone in the middle will be fast enough to shut down the middle by himself as well as assist out wide also teaching his teammates how to read block more efficiently. This team has great leaders and mentors to guide the young players into beasts, great team 👍🏾❤️

Team Goal: Adding Individual Strengths, Shiratorizawa style, as well as the Serve and Block, Date Tech style. My goal was to find a bunch of individually consistent and powerful players, around my teams core duo. Hard mode, of course. Overall cost was all 53.5/53.5 points. Onto my team: OP: Ushijima- obviously if I want raw firepower there is no better place to start than firepower itself. Ushijima is not the captain, but is obviously the ace. His spikes are overwhelming, and his serves are theoretically inconsistent, but we never really saw that in the anime. Combined with my setter, he will be a nearly unstoppable beast. S: Oikawa- Ushijima was right when he said that Oikawa should’ve gone to Shiratorizawa. I believe that these two combined will be near unstoppable, as well as keeping up the pressure on their monstrous serves. Oikawa brings out the absolute best in his hitters, and is in my opinion on par with Atsumu or Kageyama. However neither of them is my captain of choice. That honor goes to my next player. Although I’ve sunk 18.5 points into this duo, I think it’s perfectly fine given the impact they will provide. WS: Kita Shinsuke: The captain of Inarizaki and my fantasy team. Probably the best all-around player in haikyuu. His receives are top notch, and his serve is a jump float that’ll be a good change of pace to throw off the receivers who are adapting to Oikawa and Ushijima’s top spin serves. I don’t imagine his spikes to be that good, but he’s mainly here for his receives and, of course, his attitude. He is a terrific captain with seemingly flawless judgement and the ability to get his team to work at their mental peak. Combined with Oikawa, my players will be at their physical AND mental peak. WS: Tanaka: Between Tanaka and Asahi, I think Tanaka is better for the team. It breaks up the amount of 3rd years on my team, which there are quite a lot of. More importantly, is Tanaka is a weaker version of Bokuto, then Asahi is a weaker version of Ushijima. To clarify, Tanaka is more focused on precise angles than raw power, though he of course is a strong spiker. While Asahi is a power spiker, of which I already have the best. The only problem I have with Tanaka is his moderate receiving skills, but with shinsuke and Oikawa carrying the back row (I cut some corners on my libero) Tanaka should still be fine in the back. MB: Aone: One of the best blockers in Haikyuu, Aone brings a lot of defense to the team. You’re probably catching on that this teams biggest weakness is the floor defense, so I needed some massive blocking power. With all of the players on my team being strong servers, my middles need to be beasts to make sure the ball doesn’t even get the chance to be back on our court. As for Aone specifically, he has a monster block. Different from Tsukishima’s blocks that make it easier for the other players to receive, Aone’s job is to crush the ball whenever it comes near the net. Plus his jump serve is adequate, though it is a work in progress. MB: Kuroo: A great blocker that is somewhere between Tsukki and Aone’s methods. Kuroo will obviously try to shut down a spike, but Nekoma’s philosophy of consistent defense means he also sets things up to go to the back row where they can get a pretty easy receive. Plus Kuroo fills two roles, which I will discuss momentarily. L: Tsuchiya: Johzenji’s libero. The weakest of my players by far, only costing 5 points. However he is by no means a bad player, he’s just average in a team of monsters. My thought process was that if he really can’t make the cut, I can have him only switch with Aone, leaving Kuroo in the back, as Kuroo is one of my better receivers as well (His second role from before). With the main lineup sorted, onto the bench players. Semi: Shiratorizawa’s pinch server. With a cost of 7 points, my other bench players now had to cost 3.5, which isn’t a big deal honestly. Semi’s inclusion gives me a powerful jump serve, which seems on par with some of the shows better servers, so he could definitely sub with my middles, who have moderate jump serves, for a more powerful serve. Plus Semi allows for double setter play, which we’ve seen the destructive power of thanks to the Miya twins. Obviously Semi and Oikawa won’t be as good of a pair but the unpredictable nature of two setters is always appreciated. Kinoshita: I feel bad for my boy, only being rated a 3.5, the lowest value. He’s a pretty solid pinch server, and although he hasn’t really been given a chance to shine, Nishinoya struggles with his serves, so he’s clearly still a viable player. For how little he costs he should really be on any teams bench, and I truly believe he should be buffed to a 4.5, but I’ll still take advantage of a bargain. As for the last member, who cares, they’re going to be a bench warmer. None of the other 3.5 players provide much use, so just include one of them in this spot. With my list completed, I think this is a team that will dominate prefectures, and go very, very far in nationals. I don’t know if this team will win, as my back row is very weak with Ushijima who doesn’t participate in receives, and Tsuchiya, a very underwhelming libero compared to his teammates. I think this team would struggle against a team like Inarizaki, with the minus tempo and serve pressure of the Miya twins, but saying a team would struggle against one of the best teams in Haikyuu goes without saying. A smarter decision on my part would be to trade out Ushijima and Tsuchiya for a 7-8 opposite and a 7-8 libero, but I wanted the raw firepower, and that wouldn’t fit my goal of individual strengths and a clear advantage while serving, now would it? Plus I have receivers like Kita, Kuroo, Oikawa, so it’s not as big of a weakness as it seems on paper.

Hell of a team. The fact that everyone has to ability to perform a jump serve is a significant advantage, though the team does lack floor defence the offensive is twice as strong as well as having Kuroo play back row will certainly help but i do worry about his stamina. I feel like i need to make a team to challenge you will see. ❤️🙏

A year later and I finally made my Hard Mode team lol Setter- Akaashi Wing Spikers- Goshiki and Tanaka Opp Hitter- Kyotani Mid Blockers- Kuroo and Rintaro Libero- Sakunami(Date Tech) Bench- Hyakuzawa, Kinoshita, and Oyasu (First two were ones you inspired and the last one is kind of just a warm body.) I think the general goal of the team is to have as high attack power as possible. All the hitters and blockers I chose have tricky angles, wipes, and a decent amount of power. The blockers I feel are VERY intelligent and can hold their own on both sides of the rotation. Receiving would be the only big issue I could see on this team. Great videos bro! Hope to see an update when season 5 comes out! 😁

Hard Mode Philosophy : Strike Fast and Hard Setter : Atsumu Miya - 9 Outside : Naoyasu Kuguri - 7 Outside : Masaki Gōra - 8 Opposite : Hajime Iwaizumi - 8 Middle Blocker : Tetsuro Kuroo - 8 Middle Blocker : Wataru Onaga - 5.5 Libero : Yu Nishinoya - 8 Middle Blocker : Ayumu Moritake - 3.5 Wing Spiker : Shunki Kawatabi - 6 Wing Spiker : Hayato Ikejiri - 4.5 Synergy : Kuroo is the captain of this team not only because of his experience but since he is in the best posion to analyze the team's condition as a whole. The team in general is very cool headed with the only exception being Nishinoya and possibly Iwaizumi. Miya would control the offensive flow and would be able to utilize 2 strong weapons in Gora and Iwaizumi as they both would adapt to Miya in game. Kuguri and Onaga are very reserved as well and have a bunch of potential. They will bloom and become the future of the team as they play under the other stars on the team. Nishinoya brings some of the needed star power on ground defense to fill in the holes, but his attitude will help the reserved team keep pushing through games. Game Style : The main offense of the team are their serves. Miya and Gora can easily dominate games with their serves followed up by Kuroo and Iwaizumi who both also have solid serves. Using their serves, the team can capitalize on points as Kuroo and Onaga can lead the team's read blocking to finish points off. If the ball does manage to pass over on occasion the team can still handle it as they have excellent receivers in Iwaizumi and Nishinoya and Miya's complex offense will be able to outlast other teams. The bench's main purpose is to keep the momentum in the team's favor as well as fill in temporarily. Shunki is a very solid spiker from the bench, Ikejiri could develop his game more proficiently as well as provide moral support, and Moritake's build could possibly give relief to the starters as well. In general, the team has sophisticated players who will punish mistakes as well as young gems who can easily make this team one of the best teams in the nation. This team destroys their opponents fast and with no mercy.

Team Easy Philosophy: Big strong and tough. A great setter makes this team more unpredictable than Shiratorizawa was and other spikes make it less dependent on ushiwaka making the offense truly unstoppable. The opposing team will have to defend some of the most powerful spikes and served in the show. Defensively, aggressive blocking but also steady receives make this team difficult to score on. Wing Spiker Asahi - 7.0 (Honestly a steal at 7) Has a good jump serve and some strong spikes. Libero- nishinoya -8.0 Just a great libero Middle blocker - Kuroo -8.00 Middle blocker - Aone 7.5 Both blockers are tall and great blockers and powerful spikers Setter- atsumu miya -9.0 Best server in the show imo and an incredible setter to make the rest of the team even better. Wing spiker ushijima (captain)- 10.0 Having ushijima basically guarantees a great offense Wing spiker - futakuchi - 7.0 Bench For the bench I wanted guys who would throw the opposing team off their rhythm and force them to adapt. Wing spiker- kinoshita - 0.5 Cheap w float serves. Wing spiker - hyakuzawa- 3.5 Fits philosophy, in short bursts can be unstoppable w massive height. Even if he doesn’t score, he will draw attention allowing Asahi or ushiwaka to get easy points. Wing spiker/ pinch server (punch serve kid) - Aoi himekewa-2.0 Just unpredictable and unusual, can prove get a few points and throw off other team. Hard( 53.5 pts) 5.0 pts 1 player per team Hard team Philosophy- fun unpredictable offense with many options. A little weak on defense but makes up for it by scoring more points than other team. Inarizaki setter Miya atsuma -9.0 (The heart of the offense, will keep defense on their toes w served and quick attacks) Karasuno mb Hinata -8.0 Nekoma mb kuroo (captain) - 8.0 Basically same dynamic as karasuno MBs except kuroo is a little better than tsukishima and a leader. Hinata’s unique play style allows atsuma to show off. Kamimedai wing spiker hoshiumi (short king) - 9.5 Hinata except 100 times better according to kageyama Kakugawa wing spiker hyakuzawa - 6.5 Takes attention away from other weapons. Looks even taller next to Hinata Fukurodani wing spiker bokuto - 9.0 A Top ace, with bokuto the offense has too many weapons to be stopped Tokonami libero sakurai - 3.5 Look, I needed a libero and he was cheap. As opposed to my easy team, this bench is to steady the team and help defend. Kinoshita wing spiker/ pinch server-0.5 Useful pinch server Enoshita wing spiker -2.0 Basically served as a discount daichi for karasuno and this team could really use a well rounded player like him, especially defensively. Minamida libero - 2.5 I went cheap on libero for starters so this is kind of a loophole to get a better Libero

Hard Mode: Team Philosophy: BIG BRAIIIINNNNN Ace: Yuji Terushima (7) WS: Suguru Daishou (8) WS: Korai Hosiumi (9.5) MB: Kei Tsukishima (7.5) MB: Rintaro Suna (8) S: Kenma Kozume (8) L: Tashi Minamida (5.5) Bench: Yunohama (5.5-3=2.5) Tadashi Yamaguchi (5.5-3=2.5) Only 2 bench members this time both pinch servers, my philosophy is big brain mainly cause I wanted a team with Kenma cause he bae and I thought hey why not make the smartest team. My ace is kinda the only exception however, he is valued the least out of my 3 wing spikers however I believe he would still get the most points, there is a case to be made for Hosiumi however Terushima would bring the dumb idea good execution type of big brain such as when he tries a synchronized attack or when he hit on the third hit on the back half of the court. Suguru also fit into the smart archetype as Nohebi's team philosophy is doing whatever it takes to win, which doesn't make him less of an ass but him plus nekoma's brain would be a super computer capable of knowing what the other team is thinking and then acting on it in and off the court.

Both middles are very good at reading the game and can effectively shut down any middle attack and properly support a systematic defense that will minimize the use of my libero. I would also leave Kuro in back row for Minamida because he has great serve receive and defense as well as being a good back row option.

I played on hard mode 53.5 for starters and 5 for bench Name: the blue lions Setter: Toru Oikawa 8.5 Wing speaker (OH) Asahi azumane 7 Wing spiker (OH) Kenji futakachi 7.0 Wing spiker (OP) Yudai Hyakuzawa 6.5 Middle blocker: Satori tendo 8 Middle blocker: Tetsuro Kuroo 8 Libero: Motoya Komari 8.5 Total 53.5 Bench Tadashi Yamaguchi (pinch server) 5.5-2.5 Aoi Himekawa (pinch server) 5.0- 2.0 Hisashi Kinishito(WS) 3.5- .5 Total 5 The blue lions are a team built on a strong defense and the utilization of singular offensive powers, as well as a varried and strong serve collection. Oikawa is the cornerstone of this team he leads the team in two separate half’s, the defense and offense. He controls the offense sharply but let’s Kuroo set the timing for the blocks. Tengo, Kuroo, and Kenji serve as a strong defensive wall with both Kenji and Kuroo used to make the occasional kill. It has been shown that Kuroo is an all around player that oikawa can fully utilize. Tengo acts as the occasional instinct for the defensive wall when Kuroo and kenji analytical style of blocking fails, though oikawa keeps him in line as a team player, Kuroo is the leader of the defensive blockers with his strong mind and sharp eye. Kenji is capable as a defense member but he still compliments the wing spikers nicely. With oikawa knowing how to naturally use the middle blockers as decoys and superior height. The team mainly prioritizes defense but for offense they use individual specific skills that are used to disorganize the other team so that there counters are sloppy. Yudai’s incredible height can be used incredibly well with a setter like Oikawa. Azumane’s back row attacks and powerful serves will help break through offense and he serves as a nice consistent WS. Motoya is the main back row defense and he is shown as a national level player . Oikawa is the leader, Azumane and kenji are team players and Motoya was a natural at the training camp, tengo and Yudai will be directed by oikawa and Kuroo will lead the blocks allowing tengo to use his own skills when needed. The serves function to put further pressure on the other team so that they mess up there sets, oikawa’s precision and power, Azumane’s aren’t especially consistent but they are powerful, Kenji’s is formidable. The bench Meanwhile has two float servers and the ceiling server the later being especially unseen by many causing disarray.

Just finished my team and I'm real happy with how it turned out. (Realized I had been misunderstanding the rules and originally subtracted my bench cap from my team cap.) xD Difficulty Level: Normal Team Philosophy: Aggressive And Flexible Offense, Intelligent Blocking Setter: Akashi (Captain) Wing Spikers: Hoshiumi (ace), Kyotani, Asahi Middle Blockers: Rintaro, Tsukishima Libero: Komori Bench: Kinoshita, Bobata, Kawatabi (Better known as Shikamaru.) The idea is generally to have attackers that can hit at numerous angles, different speeds, and with plenty of power. The defensive players are all generally very intelligent. Only weaker area I can see is receiving, but with Hoshiumi I get the sense that it would be more like having two liberos than simply lacking in excellent receivers. Even the bench, to me, feels filled with players that could all step onto the court and change the flow of the game. Really enjoyed these two videos and I hope to play this with other fans of the show to see who's teams might be better! Thank you!!

Hard Mode Team Philosophy: Knowledge is Power (High Game Sense, Intuition, and Intelligence) Setter: Tooru Oikawa (8.5) Oikawa is among the best of all players in terms of game sense thanks to his analytical and methodical nature, allowing him to read patterns, moods, and intentions on the court with accuracy. By far one of the most skilled players in all of Haikyuu as well, he’s easily a national-level player despite having never been able to participate. His ability to enable his teammates and bring out their full potential is an invaluable tool on a team that doesn’t prioritize offensive power. His tremendously strong and pinpoint accurate serves are the first method of racking up points for the team, possibly starting off with a comfortable 2 or 3 point lead before any spikes have had the chance to present themselves. It’s his near-perfect setting and cannon serves that set him apart from other highly intelligent setters like Kenma and Akaashi, making him an obvious pick for this team. Outside Hitter: Shohei Fukunaga (7.0) Despite his unimpressive height, he’s a troublesome opponent on the court with the crazy accuracy and trajectory of his spikes. What he lacks in sheer power and reach, he more than makes up for with his jump and impressive technique. While not shown to be outstandingly intelligent, he scored a commendable 4 out of 5 in game sense, implying that while he may not speak it aloud, he has a keen eye and awareness for other players as well as his own positioning that he likes to keep to himself. He’s an incredibly reliable offensive unit, and while not this team’s ace is still a trustworthy player to score points and disrupt the enemy team with his crazy spike trajectories. Not to mention his proficiency in receiving turning him into a solid backline player with good defense and killer jump serves. Outside Hitter: Yudai Hyakuzawa (6.5) Although this team’s weakest link, his strength and towering stature make him a difficult opponent to block and be blocked by. Even without much effort put into his jump, he can effortlessly spike above nearly any blocker he’s put up against and smash the ball into their backline as if there was no one to stop him in the first place. He’s the only member of the team to truly break the philosophy of high game sense and intelligence, instead, serving as the team’s simple and impossibly sharp offensive spear. Opposite Hitter: Akinori Konoha (7.5) Akinori “Jack-Of-All-Trades” Konoha is one of the most dependable all-around players in Haikyuu, being above average in all aspects of the game. Another one with unimpressive height, he still proves to be a talented opposite hitter with a decent jump to make up for his deficiency. His proficiency in all positions coupled with his high game sense makes him a crafty and unpredictable player, being able to deceive enemies with mid-air spike to set transitions, rebounds, and accurate passes to the Oikawa. In case it falls onto Oikawa to receive the ball, Konoha is more than capable of serving as a backup setter for the rest of the team, as shown when he did the same for Akaashi against Mujinakaza. Middle Blocker/Ace: Suna Rintaro (8.0) Suna, just like Oikawa, epitomizes this team’s philosophy with his high game sense and top tier ball-handling skills. He’s able to easily deceive and rile up the enemy team’s front line with banter and insults, being naturally adept at reading emotions and patterns from his opponents. As a middle blocker, his decent height and unexpected speed in putting up blocks make him a foe that can be a threat at any point in the front line at any given time. He’s noted by Coach Ukai to have incredibly sharp game sense, able to quickly and effectively adapt to any change or shift in strategy from the enemy to instantly shut it down with ease. His reaction speed is just as if not more impressive then Aone’s, blocking spikes from distances other blockers wouldn’t be able to react in time to, let alone reach. As the team’s ace, his inhuman torso flexibility makes it difficult for any blocker to stop him unless bolstered by one or two other teammates, an unlikely situation to begin with. He was one of the most dependable and lethal members of Inarizaki, a powerhouse school, second only in scoring to Aran Ojiro who was a Top 5 Ace. A criminally underrated player and easily one of the best blockers in the nation along with Kuroo Tetsurou, Suna and Oikawa lead the team with their finesse and unstoppable but intelligent offense. Middle Blocker: Kei Tsukishima (7.5) Another pillar of intuition and game sense, his overall intelligence and ability to read the flow of a game and process information like a machine is what solidified his position as a no-brainer on my team. While I do love Kuroo and see him as the best blocker in Haikyuu, in terms of straight-up intellect I felt like Kei deserved a spot on this team more. Standing at nearly 6’3 and a max block reach of 325cm, he serves as the main blocking cornerstone of the team. I personally love his playstyle, not acting on instinct or his own senses, but instead only acting on the information displayed in front of him. Because of this, he’s exceptional at read blocking, able to shut down, or at least soften the blow of any spike he can react to. Libero: Motoya Komori (8.5) While we have next to no documentation of his gameplay or stats, Komori was ranked the number one libero in the nation, proving that he’s even better than shown master liberos like Yaku and Nishinoya. His awareness of his own positioning relative to his teammates is one of the few things we know about him, which ensures that he can make accurate passes while without hampering down his team in the process. We can assume that as the number one libero, as well as a starting member of the best team in the nation, he’s nothing short of terrifying to face with his accuracy and agility on serve and spike receives. While maybe not a living highlight reel like Nishinoya, it would make sense for him to be near-perfectly consistent considering his team’s banner motto of “Effort” as well as highly intelligent because of his keen attention and eye for small details. Bench: MB: Koji Hiroo (3.5) Killer float serves and backup if Tsukishima gets over-exhausted. Pinch Server: Hisashi Kinoshita (0.5) MB: Kazuhito Narita (1.0)

Team: There's such thing as overkill (hard mode) Opposite: Ushijima 10. any team with Ushijima is a force to be reckoned with although it's a bit different from Shiratorizawa because of the incredibly high quality outside hitters. OH 1: Hoshiumi: 19.5. an allround great player and very dangerous attacker that just generally can do it all. OH 2: Aran, 28.5. another costly player but Aran is a top tier player with awesome power, great serve and a very good receiver. MB1: Aone 36. a very strong blocker and is widely respected for his skills. Also his serve is rough around the edges but it's getting there. Setter: Echigo 43: An underrated player because he's simply a good setter plain and simple. Has a solid head on his shoulders and knows the value of power and skill allowing him to use all attack options. Also quite tall (183) and is an athletic player which means decent blocks and able to get high balls. I almost picked Koganegawa here, but I wanted to pick someone with a little more experience, a lot more skill and mental fortitude. I'd imagine that he'd have less trouble matching up with Ushijima's left handedness than Koganegawa who occasionally screws up even normal sets. We have never seen him serve though, but at worst I expect his serve to be like Daichi's although he can probably hit some nasty spots. MB2: Onaga 48.5. A bit undervalued maybe because I'll take a 193 cm player with a great volleyball education for 5.5 any day of the week. Yeah Onaga isn't the greatest and his stats are shit tier, but he has never underperformed or been a burden to the team. He's a great pick if you want to save up some points somewhere. Also his best stat is actually in stamina which is great to have considering that Nationals is somewhat of a marathon. Also Aone is somewhat similar to Washio so maybe less of an adjusting period? L: Shibayama 53.5 exactly. Shibayama at 5 is quite a steal and "finances" some of my higher quality wing spikers. The fact that he's two points lower than Sakunami for example is a bit much . Yeah he isn't a super libero but he's still very much a capable libero all he needs is a bit more experience which he'll get running through the entire Miyagi qualifiers. Plus we saw him play when he came on to the court completely cold without a warm up and mentally rattled after Yaku's injury. Bench Yunohama 2.5 Kinoshita 3 Himekawa 5 I picked 3 pinch servers with at least 2/3 will be used to mostly replace Onaga when he's serving which is by far the weakest of the team while at the same time the blocking formation is stronger with Aone up front thus serve and block. If I wanted to get more of a back up player it would probably be Ennoshita instead of Himekawa to sometimes give Ushijima some rest and improve the defense somewhat. The medium version of this team has Oikawa instead of Echigo. What is fun though is that in the hard mode I didn't pick anyone from Aoba Johsai and Karasuno meaning that in the Miyagi qualifiers they'd be at full strength and I think my team has the overwhelming firepower to crush even Karasuno. Also while not used Asahi at 7 is way undervalue and should be at least an 8. And Nohebi's Akama is actually their libero not a setter and at 6 a great value pick considering Nohebi got 4 in Japans's biggest prefecture and Nohebi is known for their exceptional defense. Plus a quick (hard) Semi Eita team: Semi 7 Inuoka 14.5 Hoshiumi 24 Aran 33 Watari 40.5 Onaga 46 Aone 53.5

Medium Mode Team Philosophy: Balanced Offense and Good Receiving and Blocking Abilities Setter: Toru Oikawa Libero: Yu Nishinoya Wing Spikers: Wakatoshi Ushijima, Sō Inuoka and Katsumichi Higashiyama Middle Blocker: Satori Tendō and Kei Tsukishima Bench Players: Shuichi Anahori, Yoshiki Towada and Teppei Naruko What I like about my team is mostly the setter who can bring the 100% strength of all his teammates and I've always wondered how dangerous it can be with Ushijima on my team. Regarding about my 2 other wing spikers Inuoka and Katsumichi is that they can also spike the ball effectively with good receiving skills. Middles Blockers I've chosen Satori Tendō because what I like about him is that not only he is scary with his nearly accurate hunch blocking, he also likes to get into his opponents' by annoying them and also I have the MVP of Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa game arguably one of the most intelligent middle blocker and also the one who stopped Ushijima. Then here comes my super libero who can turn the tide with his excellent receives who can also set too.

Difficulty Level - Hard. Team Strengths - Youthful / Top 3 Ace / Serve & Block / Technical & Strategic. Team Banner - Slow & Steady. Team Chemistry - 85% Starters - 53.5 Points. Setter - Keiji Akaashi (Fukurodani) (2nd Year) (C) (8.0) - Akaashi is among the best when it comes to analytical and methodical thinking, proving to be quite the strategies on-court, as for this he scored a commendable 4 out of 5 in game sense and technique, as well as acting as the vice captain of a powerhouse school well only being in his 2nd year. Having the skill set to perform a toss rebound when needed and all sorts of different types of sets from unconventional quicks to time difference, who he has chemistry doing this with Tsukishima during the summer training camp, also being able to perform a jump serve. With his good height of (6'0) he is a valuable asset to this teams blocking as well as being reliable on floor defence, he is mature and levelheaded enough already to lead this next gen team to the national stage, maybe not this year but for sure the next to come. Outside Hitter - Kenji Futakuchi (Date Tech) (2nd Year) (VC) (7.0) - Kenji “Smart Ass” Futakuchi is exceptional at read blocking whilst being a wing spiker, he was one part of the famous Date Techs Iron Wall in the Mayagi prefecture as well as serving as there teams captain while being a 2nd year. With his good height of (6'0.5) and blocking experience he will help teach the others to read block more accurately as well as perfecting the bunch shift technique and serve and block strategy. He is this teams strongest spiker power wise and vice captain, he is able to do a powerful jump serve consistently but he stats that he struggles with high tosses and messes them up occasionally. He has shown to be a talented receiver pick up numerous serves and spikes, one even being from Oikawa himself, he also loves to taunt his opponents at any given chance. Thought he is not the teams ace he is a solid offensive choice, even showing capabilities of performing a feint shot during the practice match against Karasuno and despite his flippant attitude, he does care about his teammates and will be a stern vice captain. Outside Hitter/Ace - Kiyoomi Sakusa (Itachiyama) (2nd Year) (10.0) - Sukusa is an exceptionally talented player, considered one of the top three aces in Japan even as a 2nd year, he is an all-rounder with remarkable skills in both offence and defence, which earned him an invitation to the All-Japan Youth Camp. He is the ace of this team obviously, for his unique quirk of insanely flexible wrists, which allows him to put nasty spins on his spikes and serves making them difficult to block and receive, even if the blocker is positioned correctly the ball will ricochet wildly leading to wipes, the spin is even consisted to be harder to deal with than Ushijima's southpaw spin. Sakusa is a highly skilled receiver who specialises is serve defence, as well as having a killer jump serve for reasons stated before and his crazy trajectory, being able to accurately target specific spots on the court, whether that be near the end line, side line or tooling blockers, that is with his spikes as well. Being genetically gifted with great height of (6'2.4) and the second tallest in the team he is a welcome addition to the new wall. Opposite Hitter - Akira Kunimi (Aoba Johsai) (1st Year) (7.0) - Kunimi's secret weapons are being efficient, conserving energy and always being calm, he is a very proficient player and a starting member on a top team in the Mayagi prefecture. Having scored an impressive 5 out of 5 in game sense, implying that while he may not speak it aloud, he has a keen eye and awareness for other players as well as his own positioning, that he likes to keep to himself. Kunimi does not put much effort into the early parts of the game but is quite reliable in the later half of the match due to his conservative nature, allowing him to attack multiple times in a row. He is not the strongest spiker but certainly knows how to get a point, his most used method is the feint shot, to get over the blockers or try to land the ball in open space. Being (6'0) he is a valuable blocker and has shown to be a skilled and thoughtful receiver, observing the situation, then making adjustments best suited for him and the team. Middle Blocker - Kei Tsukishima (Karasuno) (1st Year) (7.5) - Tsukishima is immensely proficient at read blocking, primarily because of his height of (6'2.8) and intelligence, scoring a 5 out of 5 in game sense and being a cool, calm and collected person who throughly analyses the state of the game and acts only on the information displayed in front of him, for this reason he is an excellent blocker, able to shut down or least soften any block he can get his hands too. Also being an intelligent scorer with the feint shot as well as pushing his limits to go above and beyond, his serve is nothing special but always consistent and doesn’t get fazed by anything. Tsukishima is this teams defensives pillar and will take charge and lead the way alongside Futakuchi. Middle Blocker - Rintaro Suna (Inarizaki) (2nd Year) (8.0) - Suna is a highly skilled blocker, and though he is considered short for his position stand at (6'1.1) he is a very formidable player, having an incredibly fast reaction speed and high game sense, he can quickly adapt to the opposing teams strategies and shut down there attacks swiftly and efficiently. Suna is also very strong on offence, thanks to his incredible shoulder and torso flexibility, allowing him to increase the range of his spikes while maintaining power, making him one of the top scorers on the team. Having the ability to deceive and rile up the opposing teams front line with his spikes and insults, he is a menace on the court, however he is noted to be a slow starter and tends to slack off when the team gains a comfortable lead. Libero - So Akama (Nohebi) (2nd Year) (6.0) - Akama is a very solid libero who plays for a top 4 team in one of the biggest prefectures in the country, he is supportive and switched on in game and was able to receive and dig multiple serves and spikes from Nekoma. As this team evolves I'm sure he will improve his defensive skills, especially when training with one of the top three aces in the nation as well as facing stronger opponents. Substitutes - 5.0 Points. Pinch Server/MB - Tadashi Yamaguchi (Karasuno) (1st Year) (5.5 - 3.0 = 2.5) - Yamaguchi has developed into a reliable pinch server with his killer jump float serve, although he still lacks on-court experience and consistency with receiving, he can shift the games momentum into our favour as well as having chemistry with Tsukishima, they will epitomise the serve and block. Pinch Server/OH - Aoi Himekawa (Tsubakihara) (1st Year) (5.0 - 3.0 = 2.0) - Himekawa is a shy person, similar to Yamaguchi, but he’s also just as hardworking and wants to improve his skills. He is capable of performing the ceiling serve, when he sends the ball high into the air which causes his opponents to unintentionally look into the light becoming distorted, therefore making it hard to receive and sometimes allowing him to score a service ace. Himekawa also appears to be a solid receiver and is stated to possibly be more of a defensive specialist, however because of his inexperience in actual matches, he occasionally hesitates and overthinks, but with more game time and practice he is sure to improve and become more confident. Setter - Ibuki Natsuse (Ohgiminami) (1st Year) (3.5 - 3.0 = 0.5) - Ibuki contributes as a back up setter for Akaashi if he gets injured or has a mental breakdown of some sort as well as providing moral support for the team. Starting Rotation. Back Row. 1. Keiji Akaashi - S 6. Rintaro Suna - MB / So Akama - LI 5. Kiyoomi Sakusa - OH Front Row. 4. Akira Kunimi - OP 3. Kei Tsukishima - MB 2. Kenji Futakuchi - OH Ideal Start - To start we want to embody the serve and block strategy, with strong serves and blocks, while utilising the blocking techniques bunch shift and spread shift, with strong blockers like Tsukki and Suna maintaining pressure on the opposing teams setter, Akaashi will capitalise on making a plan whilst conducting this teams unique offence. Game Hypothesis - With the levelheaded Akaashi control the flow of the game I feel like this team can do really good, considering we have no weak spikers on the team, everyone knowns how to score a point on there own and youth is on our side. This team will embody the serve and block strategy with everyone on the starting lineup being (6'0) and above, and as they gain more experience and chemistry this team will become a real threat, whilst still having a good chance this year. Team History - This team consists of five 1st years and five 2nd year who's 3rd years stepped down to focus on there studies therefore letting the next gen take the court. Through that this team will gain more experience and maturity on and off the court quicker than most whilst there 2nd years will have to step up and take the rains leading these young gems to future fame and glory.

This team has 3 of the best servers in Sakusa, Miya, and Ushijima which can wear out the defense as they make it difficult for them to receive the ball. Miya brings out the best out of his teammates and having both Ushijima and Sakusa makes this team one where you would have to cover the whole width of the court when they attack.

I have a hard time seeing why Hinata is a rated as high as he is if it’s Karasuno year one Hinata. Hinata needs to have Atsumu or Kageyama on his team for him to be worth the 8 points. Without them unfortunately he’s just not super useful taking in account him costing 8 points. With other players like Aone from Date being worth 7.5 that seems like a steal compared to Hinata costing 8.

Same with Asahi should be 7.5 or 8.0 criminally underrated makes my man Tanaka irrelevant because for sure below Asahi in pretty much every aspect, except mental. As well as Aone you can argue he should be 8.0 an Hinata 7.5 atm. There is lots of these cases like… Oikawa to be 9.0 or kai and Fukunaga to be 7.5 although I do like a cheeky little steel sometimes nevertheless it is what it is. I wanna see your team on hard going off the list and rules no position swapping other than hypothetical decisions during the game such as injuries or fatigue substitutions challenge?

The idea is defense, trying to stop a attack with a block or picking up a spike with recieves. Starters: Futakuchi (7) - One of the best defensive spikers we have, part of the iron wall with a good jump serve. Hoshiumi (9.5) - One of the top spikers in the series, powerful jump serve, excellent at everything Inuoka (7.5) - A all-round opposite, a former blocker so he can be a help in the front and got the receives from Nekoma. Tsukishima (7.5) - Solid blocker Aone (7.5) - One of the best blockers in the show Akkashi (8) - Solid setter Yaku (8) - One of the best Liberos Bench: (In your last team you went over the limit so I did the same) Himekawa (2) - Solid at floor defense with a good serve to stop the other team if needed Sugawara (3.5) - Good setter to put in if needed, can watch from the bench and come up with strategies to use in the game Kinoshita (0.5) - A second pinch server for the team

Late to the party but here's my team (Powerful spikes and serve) Oikawa (S) Ushijima (OH) Asahi (WS) Fukunaga (WS) Motoya Komori - (L) Aoene (MB) Nobuyishi Izaka (MB) Bench Yamaguchi (MB) Shuichi Anahori (S) Kinoshita (WS) Ushijima should be able to rack up tons of points for the team with his attacks. Asahi as a second option is pretty solid and having Fukunaga (Silent Big Scorer of Nekoma) Bolster the team's defense as well as attacks. For MB, Aone would serve as the main defensive unit of the team while Izaka is just there for additional height and defense at the net. Having Komori who is considered the best libero would cover the team's backline defense pretty well. And to top all that, having Oikawa Orchestrate the attack would make this team rack scores in no time. Oikawa, Ushijima, Asahi, Yamaguhi and Aone serves should make the opposite teams attacks less effective (if ever they managed to get their serves). The team has a lot of tall players and having aone should make the blocking game at least average. The only great floor defenders are Fukunaga and Komori so that would be the only weakness (I'm hoping Komori lives up to his title) the back up setter is pretty solid, and Yamaguchi and Kinoshita brings float serves to the table.

Difficulty Level - Hard. Team Strengths - Serving / Floor & Net Defence / Steel Wall / Reliable. Team Banner - Triumph. Team Chemistry - 92% Starters - 53.5 Points. Setter - Toru Oikawa (Aoba Johsai) (3rd Year) (C) (8.5) - Oikawa is debatably the best setter in the nation thanks to his natural setting ability, monstrous serves, cunning nature and high game sense, proving time an again to be able to read his opponents moves and emotions to find a solution and counter. Having the ability to draw out the full potential of each an everyone on his team through communication and adjusting his sets to maximum there capabilities is another one of his specialty, though Oikawa’s ultimate weapon is his serve, with high precision accuracy and power to follow, it truly is game changing, to be able to have the power to win a game purely from serving is something I wouldn’t doubt he could do. He is no scrub on defence either proving to be quite a formidable opponent when receiving and blocking as well as having good height of (6'0.6). Oikawa has great leadership and observational skills making him an obvious pick for my teams Captain. Outside Hitter/Ace - Asahi Azumane (Karasuno) (3rd Year) (7.0) - Asahi is known for having a strong spike that can blast through most defenders especially when giving his favourite set to spike and being peered with Oikawa definitely will draw out his full potential. Having a powerful and accurate jump serve which builds up from 70% to 100% as the game go's on is a weapon in his arsenal alongside a wide range of offensive attacks from back row attacks, feints, too his signature delayed spike, when he waits for the blockers to start falling then unleashing a powerful wipe ricocheting off the blockers. Having the stability of good defence is another one of Asahi’s strengths, proven to be quite proficient on floor defence being arguably the 3rd best receiver on his team and standing at (6'1.4) with a decent jump and solid build, Asahi is a great addition to the new steel wall. I think Asahi was a steal at 7.0 points for what he comes with, an experienced 3rd year, reliable hitter and solid defender. Outside Hitter/Ace - Korai Hoshiumi (Kamomedai) (2nd Year) (9.5) - Korai is an amazing all-rounder, who excels in every aspect of the game whether that be spiking, serving, blocking, receiving or setting. With his jaw dropping jumps for his height (5'6.6) to his large arsenal of attacks, consisting of feints, wipes, straights, and crosses making him one of the his teams top scorers. Having a strong accurate jump serve is another one of Korai’s best weapons as well as being very proficient at read blocking with a strong mental toughness drilled into him from coach Aaron Murphy. He has proven capable of reaching the same height as taller blockers on his team and kill blocking his opponents also being a highly skilled defender with great flexibility to get low when receiving or digging and having the speed to track down loose balls is very impressive to say the least. Lastly his setting, he’s proven to showcase his setting abilities earning compliments from Kageyama during the All Japan Young Camp, easily getting the ball to the spiker with little critics. Korai provides as a back up setter if Oikawa has to receive the ball though it will most likely be Komori best suited for this job also having Aone and Oikawa alongside him creates the most formidable steel wall rotation. Opposite Hitter - Nobuyuki Kai (Nekoma) (3rd Year) (VC) (7.0) - Kai has amazing defensive skills, to be able to receive Bokuto’s and Kageyama’s serves with little difficulty is no joke, also being arguably top 2 defensively in a team known for there defence speaks volumes of how good Kai is at receiving and digging whether that be spikes or serves. His blocking game is nothing to be taken lightly either, despite his average height of (5'9.5) he has shown to be a solid supporting part of his teams blocking and even able to snuff out one of Bokuto’s spikes. Overall having him as my Vice Captain as an experienced, flexible and solid player who is always cool, calm and collected and reliable on offence and defence was an easy choice. Middle Blocker - Takanobu Aone (Date Tech) (2nd Year) (7.5) - Aone is an undisputed blocker famous for the Iron Wall defence of Dateko in the Miyagi Prefecture. He is a swift skilful read blocker standing at (6'4.1) with a sturdy physique and calm mindset, he mostly works with his teammates using a blocking strategy called bunch shift. Aone will be our main blocking pillar in leading the way alongside the other team members additionally performing the serve and block strategy. He’s been working on a nice jump serve but yet to gain perfect control of it, but his serve packs enough power to be a dangerous threat once mastered. Having Aone up front with Oikawa serving as well as Korai next sounds like a lot of pressure and points to start. Middle Blocker - Wataru Onaga (Fukurodani) (1st Year) (5.5) - Wataru is no star but a solid middle blocker with good height standing at (6'4) and being on a team that regularly participates at nationals and is a 1st year starter you could say he’s special. Definitely has the potential to be great, as of now he provides as a good decoy and efficient player who Oikawa can use effectively. Libero - Motoya Komori (Itachiyama) (2nd Year) (8.5) - Komori is known as the number 1 ranked high school libero for his defensive skills. He was chosen to attend the All Japan Youth Camp and looked right at home there with the best of the of best. Not much has been shown of Komori but what we do see is that he has great court awareness and without a doubt an excellent receiver. Like Sukusa he specialises in serve defence and shown to have a keen eye for small details like after receiving the ball he noticed he was blocking the path of the spiker and simultaneously moved out of the way. Komori is an all round player who is quite tall for his position stand at (5'10.9) and is very versatile in many position, listing setting as one of his strengths, implying that he’s quite confidence in this area as well as formerly being an outside hitter. Substitutes - 5.0 Points. Pinch Server/MB - Tadashi Yamaguchi (Karasuno) (1st Year) (5.5 - 3.0 = 2.5) - Yamaguchi has developed into a reliable pinch server with his killer jump float serve although still lacking on court experience and consistency with receiving, he can shift the games momentum in our favour. Libero - Yuki Shibayama (Nekoma) (1st Year) (5.0 - 3.0 = 2.0) - Shibayama is an inexperienced player but is very passionate for the game, he is quite observant of others and his surroundings well also being kind and thoughtful towards his teammates. Nevertheless when Shibayama gets serious he becomes quite proficient at receiving and digging. Pinch Serve/OH - Hisashi Kinoshita (Karasuno) (2nd Year) (3.5 - 3.0 = 0.5) - Kinoshita is a below average player whose main strengths is his jump float serve as well as providing moral support for the team. Starting Rotation. Back Row. 1. Toru Oikawa - S 6. Wataru Onaga - MB / Motoya Komori - LI 5. Asahi Azumane - OH Front Row. 4. Nobuyuki Kai - OP 3. Takanobu Aone - MB 2. Korai Hoshiumi - OH Offensive Start - Serve & Block Strategy - The ideal start is with Oikawa to apply pressure on there libero hopefully getting a couple of service aces to start then when they receive the ball Aone will lead the way and shutdown any ongoing attacks followed by Korai’s serve while Aone stays up front one last time. Game Hypothesis - With Oikawa orchestrating this teams offence I have no doubt we will be able break through any defence as well as having a stable defence to withstand a barrage of attacks. This team is very versatile and flexible within their capabilities of being able to substitute players for every position also having great pinch servers. We could make every serve deadly by putting in Yamaguchi for Wataru and Kinoshita for Kai that is always an option but most likely just sub Yamaguchi and Kinoshita in for Wataru for maximum efficiency. With all that said I think this team could make it through the prefecture with low to medium difficulty and go really far at national.

Hard Mode: Starters Libero: Yaku (Nekoma) 8 Setter: Miya (Inarizaki) 9 Opposite: Ushijima (Shiratorizawa) 10 Outside: Sakusa (Itachiyama) 10 Outside: Maruyama (Tsubakihara) 7.5 Middle: Onaga (Fukurodani) 5.5 Middle: Oyasu (Ohgiminami) 3.5 Bench Middle: Matsukawa (Aoba Johsai) 4 (7) Outside: Kinoshita (Karasuno) 0.5 (3.5) Setter: Haga (Tokonami) 0.5 (3.5) This is very much a min/max team without an overriding philosophy. I use Onaga and Oyasu to free up points for a star-studded team. Onaga seems undervalued at 5.5 points; he's a 191cm starter on a nationals level team. Oyasu is a blatant point saver at 3.5 points. However, He's decently tall, and I think he works as a generic, replacement level blocker. However, somewhat against the spirit of the bench , he'd be replaced by Matsukawa almost immediately. Blocking is definitely not this team's strongest point, but with good height across the board, they should still be able to put up a decent wall, even if I'm not allowed to use the bench for a backdoor starter. The team is built around the best setter in the pool setting to 2 of the top 3 aces in the country. All of my wing spikers are good to great at receiving, so with Yaku subbing out the middles, the receive should be rock solid. Miya can handle the occasional poor pass and still deliver a great set in any event. On the serve, When Ushijima, Sakusa and Miya are up I expect to get a lot of aces. The remaining servers should all be competent enough not to cost points. When spiking, I expect the offense to be almost unstoppable. Even if a team has the defense to slow down Ushijima, Miya is a threat on his own, and he's always going to have dangerous options of the left side. Maruyama was the hardest choice on the team. I wish I had an extra half point to grab one of the 8 point wing spikers instead, but he seems like a solid all rounder. He does a jump serve, he's a versatile spiker and he is good at receiving. With Miya setting to him, I think he'd be a real threat. It would be nice if he was a few inches taller, but he doesn't create any real holes as is and comes from a team I haven't used. Matsukawa is on the Bench to replace Oyasu, and is a very well valued, versatile blocker at 7 points usual. Kinoshita is there because he's cheap, and I think he works as a replacement level wing spiker and decent pinch server. Haga is there again because he's cheap, and I wanted a setter in case Miya gets injured.

First time doing this so just did a team based on easy and even then it's still hard to pick a team lol. I went for an all round team who could do it all and I think this team could do just that. S: Kageyama 9, can adjust to all his spikers needs on the go and one of if not the best setter in the series. WS: Yuji 7, can spike from anywhere and does anything to keep the ball up. Also with Kageyama as his setter I feel like he could be real dangerous. WS: Iwaizumi 8, Ace and captain of my team with good power and technique and also great at hustling to keep the ball up when he's at the back. O: Osamu 8.5, can pull off the freak quick with Kageyama and can also set if Kageyama is out of place and can be real unpredictable MB: Kamasaki 6, I feel like he's much better than given credit for and really plays his part well in Date Techs iron Wall MB: Aone 7.5, real fast for his size being able to get to both sides of the court with ease to block spikes plus having both middle blockers from the Iron Wall is a major plus on defence for this team L: Komi 8, not talked about as much as Yaku and Nishinoya but can be just as good as them, there's a reason he's the starting Libero on one of the best teams in Japan. Bench: Ennoshita 2, good backup especially on defence if needed Narita 1, nothing special but always does his job Kinoshita .5, pinch server with his jump float serve

My lineup Philosophy - Excellent all-around defense, Oikawa making the best of his offensive tools S - Oikawa 8.5 (Overall elevates the weaker components of the team) WS - Sakusa 10 (More technique based, make up for power in Asahi and Hyakuzawa) WS - Asahi 7 (Powerful spiker and server, Oikawa will make him even better) OH - Hyakuzawa 6.5 (Good defensive wall, can develop nicely with Oikawa) MB - Aone 7.5 (Main defense) MB - Kindaichi 7 (Good cost, decent all around) L - Komori 8.5 (Best Libero in the series) Bench Yamaguchi 2.5 (Excellent pinch server) Wataru Onaga 2.5 (Solid all around player) Kinoshita .5 (More pinch serving)

For this I did Normal mode because its my first time Philosophy- Strong Offensive Power! Setter- Tobio Kageyama (9)- I think Kageyama's a very good pick for the setter because of his accuracy and setter dumps WS 1 (Ace)- Wakatoshi Ushijima (10)- I invested a lot of points to Ushijima but I think it's worth it, being left handed he can switch up the spikes and make it harder for defense. Paired with Kageyama's accuracy I think this will make my team have a strong offence. WS 2- Yuji Terushima (7)- I think Terushima is a good choice because of his reckless attitude, with Ushijima and Kageyama his wacky attacks and tricks he change things up with feints and synchronized attacks WS 3- Hayato Ikejiri (4.5)- He is the weakest link of the wing spikers but I think he can pull out some spikes that can shock the enemy team and grab some points MB 1: Shoyo Hinata (8)- The main reason Hinata is on this team is because Kageyama is my setter so I can use that quick attack to my teams advantage. MB 2: Satori Tendou (8)- With my team lacking in defense I needed a strong middle blocker and Tendou is my choice. With his guess blocking and overall blocking ability I hope he can strengthen the defense on my team. Plus his relationship with Ushijima can help the team get through to him. Libero- Motoya Komori (8.5)- The only main defensive player on the team is Tendou so I needed a good Libero to back him up and Komori might be the best. He plays on the top ranking team and went to all-Japan so he has to be amazing at his position. With Komori and Tendou I think the defense on this team is good enough to support the offensive power. Benches- Koshi Sugawara, Shun Yokute, Eiji Makado

I decided to challenge myself by limiting myself to having only 50 points to spend Wing spiker and captain: Takeru Nakashima Wing spiker and ace:Kazuma Numai Wing spiker: Yuji terushima Middle blocker: rintaro suna Middle blocker: Aone Setter: Eita Semi Libero: Arata tsuchiyu Bench: Wing spiker/punch server:mad dog /kyotani Middle blocker: Narita Wing spiker/pinch server: kinnoshita Takeru: Takeru is a very good spiker who can get past blocks well and is quite good at receiving . He also has a good jump serve and is a good leader Kazuma Numai: Numai is a solid spiker who managed to gain the title of ace on a team with as good of a spiker as Daisho. He also displayed a good jump serve and he managed to score a service ace against nekoma Terushima: Terushima is a good spiker who has a pretty good serve. He is very athletic and can perform Clutch plays Rintaro suna: suna is a very good blocker who is very fast and rarely falls for decoys. He is also a very good spiker who can get the ball past blockers. He cant jump serve but he serves the ball where it is hard to receive, making it easier for him to block the spike. Aone: Aone is a very good player, and is the person who I would say is the Best blocker in haikyuu so far in the anime. He has shown he can be as fast as Hinata and has a very powerful jump serve. Eita semi: semi has a very powerful serve and I’m pretty sure it was stated that he is actualy a more skilled setter than shirabu . Arata tsuchiyu: an ok receiver, he performed quite well in the johzenji vs karasuno match. Kentaro kyotani/mad dog: he is a ridiculously powerful spiker who has a very dangerous cut shot. He also has a very powerful serve. The only reason I didn’t put him on the starting lineup was because the most powerful spike mad dog has done was because he has just came of the bench.I think he can come on and shake things up for a whole set or even more Narita: a pretty good spiker and reciever Kinnoshita: he has a pretty good serve This team will not have a triple block as I think if you added any blocker to a block with Aone and Suna they would only be a liability. Also most of the members of my team have a good serve which will help my suna and Aone. Overall I think my team is a very solid team with no major flaws and very good spiking, serving and blocking, and pretty good receiving .

Just curious.

Another team I just came up with, more focused on blocking and serves. Annoying Kamomdia whose whole thing is the Serve and Block hasn't been shown in the anime yet so this will have to do: (Only 2 members don't have a jump serve of some kind) Kuroo (8) - One of the best blocker, with a solid jump serve and receives. An-all-round blocker Washio (8) - Solid blocker with a powerful jump serve Bokuto (9) - I need an offensive weapon who can carry this team when needed Futakuchi (7) - One of the best blocker spikers in the series Inuoka (7.5) - Former blocker so he can help out in the front and also has solid receives. Koganegawa (7) - Kamomdia's setter hasn't been shown yet so Koganegawa is the next best choice for blocking Komori (8.5) - With all the attention on blocking with need a great libero to lead the floor defense.

This was my first time doing this so I did it on medium mode. Cap: 55 points Philosophy: Intelligent, but offensive volleyball. Setter: Kenma Kozume (8) - I orginally had Oikawa here but took a little bit of a downgrade here so that I could have a better Libero. However, Kenma is still one of the best setters in the series and is an incredibly intelligent player who can bring out the best in his teammates. He is known as the brain of Nekoma and rarely ever makes mistakes. WS: Wakatoshi Ushijima (10) - This might be a bit overkill. However, Ushijima is the best spiker in the series in my opinion. We all know how capable Ushijima is and his spikes are incredibly difficult to stop and he can tear through any block. He will have a massive upgrade to his current setter with Kenma, who will be able to bring Ushijima even higher. WS: Takeru Nakashima (8): Takeru is the ace of Wakutani but will have no problem settling as a second option here. He is an all around player and a good leader, who is also an option for vice captain. Nakashima and Ushijima combined will create nightmares for opposing defenses. WS: Daichi Sawamura (7.5) (Captain) - Daichi is the captain of my team and one of the most natural leaders in all of Haikyuu. He brings much needed receiving and defensive skills to our third wing spiker postion and will be phenomenal support to Takeru and Wakatoshi. Daichi is a very important all around player for the squad. MB: Aone (7.5) - The centerpiece of my defense and the leader of the Iron Wall. Aone is definitely undervalued at 7.5 and is in my opinion one of the best middle blockers in the series. Aone is one of the best read blockers in all of Haikyuu. At 6'3 he has the height to stop almost any attacker in the series and has also polished his offensive game and serves a bit. Aone is a player that I have no problem being my defensive anchor on the middle block. MB: Togo Iwamuro (6) - I would have liked a better MB in this position but I overspent elsewhere. However he is a solid starting middle blocker on a Tsubakihara team that made Nationals. I don't have a problem taking a cut here so that I can have firepower elsewhere. L: Yu Nishinoya (8) - One of the best liberos in the series, period. Nishinoya has made saves in the series that we have not seen any other libero pull off except for Yaku. However Nishinoya brings much needed energy and enthusiasm to the team and will be able to pick up potential mistakes made by Iwamuro and his defense will allow our offense to have the confidence to go all out. I don't think this team would have any problem competing at the national level and could maybe mess around and win. Bench: Kaname Moniwa (3) - The centerpiece of our bench is a slight downgrade on Sugawara, who we couldn't get due to too many Karasuno players. However, Moniwa is a third year setter for Date Tech and former captain. He will give much needed morale to the team and will provide a veteran boost. Hayato Ikejiri (1.5) - Needed a backup WS and he is a third year. Kazuma Chaya (1) - Just needed a backup middle blocker.

Normal Mode: 8.5-Oikawa (S) 8.0-Yaku (L) 8.0-Hirugami (MB) 7.5-Aone (MB) 7.0-Asahi (WS) 9.5-Hoshiumi (WS) 6.5-Hyakuzawa (WS) 55 total points Bench: 2.5-Yamaguchi (MB) 0.5-Kinoshita (WS) 2.0-Shibayama (L) 5 total points You may have noticed I added an unknown player to the anime onlys. This is your only warning for mild spoilers. My team is based off the likes of Kamomedai's Serve and Block scheme, but with a bit more attacking power. I will give short summaries as to why I picked each player below Oikawa- Oikawa to me is a cheat code. He has the ability to mesh great with new and unfamiliar teams as well as bring out the best in his teammates. If we reevaluated each players score with Oikawa on the same team, their score goes up by at least +0.5 or +1 easily On top of this, he is an extraordinary leader, and we can see this with his games with Aoba Johsai, which is a very sub par team without Oikawa. And on top of THAT, he is possibly one of the best setters and servers in Haikyuu, perfectly fitting in to the whole Serve and Block scheme. Oikawa is always a must have player for me. Yaku- Yaku is the definition of consistency and relentlessness. Having him at Libero gives you one less thing to worry about. There is no other Libero I would rather have on a team, no matter what schematic. Hirugami- This is a player from Kamomedai that will be introduced soon in the anime, and he is possibly one of the best blockers at the high school level. His read blocking skills are top tier, and he never falls for decoys or fakes, which has earned him the name of Hirugami the Immovable. He also has a float serve similar to Atsumu's. He is a perfect fit for the scheme. Aone- Another no brainer for the Serve and Block scheme, Aone is a very efficient and intinidating read blocker. Paired with Hirugami, the two will be unstoppable. Throughout his high school career, he also developed a powerful serve. Aone makes a great addition to this wall I've created. Hoshiumi- Quite possibly the most skilled player in Haikyuu, i gave no thought to picking Hoshiumi. Need a persistent and dominant read blocker? Hoshiumi is that blocker. Need a difficult attack dug? Hoshiumi can and will do it. Need a top tier server? Hoshiumi is that server. Need a freak of nature wing spiker that blasts through defenses? Hoshiumi is that wing spiker. I cannot think of a more well rounded monster on the court. However, Hoshiumi becomes an even greater threat with Oikawa at setter. Together, the two make an explosive duo that makes Kageyama and Hinata look like amateur hour. Name a better setter/spiker duo. You can't Asahi- I feel like many overlook Asahi, and it isn't hard to see why. Although he has an explosive serve, which fits nicely in my scheme, he isn't the most consistent ace and he has difficulty with read blocking. However, with two of the best read blockers on the same team, and paired with Oikawa, I feel like Asahi can really show his full potential, and we can see just how powerful and dangerous the ace of Karasuno really is. Hyakuzawa- To be honest, I only picked him because I ran out of cap space. But as I though about it, the more I cam around to this guy. Sure, he lacks experience, but we see him improve at the 1st year campat Shiratorizawa. He won't be alone either, with Oikawa on the team, I feel like he would not only be a better blocker than usual, but he will be a more efficient scorer, using his height to his advantage. Bench: Yamaguchi and Kinnoshita- Their float serves fits nicely with the scheme and both would be excellent pinch servers for Hyakuzawa. Shibayama- Although he is a back up Libero, he's Nekoma's backup, which makes him that much better. We also see him make great plays vs Nohebi. That's my team. Let me know what you think. If I had to trade out Hirugami since he isn't on the list and I priced him myself, his replacement would most likely be Kuroo. Thanks for reading all of this, but i think its safe to say I have the best normal mode team lol

First of all amazing team definitely could make it far in nationals but IMO I think Hirugami is undervalued he should at least be 8.5 or 9.0 off of sheer talent as he does have a jump float server on par with Atsumu and a absolute cyborg PC 3000… he’s not human. You could say the same as some other player who are undervalued but let’s not get into that. I wanna see your team on hard going of the list and rules challenge?

Eita Shima (7) Setter Kentaro Bokuto (9) OH Korai Hoshiumi (9.5) OH Mad dog (7.5) OP Lev Haiba (7.5) Middle blocker Takanobou Aone (7.5) Middle blocker Taishi Minamida (5.5) Libero Subs Einoshita .5 Aoi 2 Wataru Onaga 2.5 This is my second team. The red hawks they are built on all out attack with individuals who specialize in attacks. Shima was the setter for shiratorizawa so he knows how to get the ball to strong players, he’s also a good server. The wing spikers are where this team shines, mad dog is an unpredictable offensive beast with a killer serve. Bokuto and Hoshiumi are top 5 aces with Bokuto’s morale staying strong do to the constant high energy oh his fellow players, they themselves each have their own individual skills that they take pride in and use to contribute to the teams success. Aone helps with the blocks and he himself has developed a strong service game. Lev is also an offensive power with his whip like serves. The Libero is kinda just a warm body but he isn’t the worst and I think with the effective blocks of Aone and Lev (the latter’s long arms and improved blocks) the back row will be able to pick up most of the spikes. Again the spikers are way this team shines with all three being among the most offensively capable in their series with all but mad dog receiving national attention.

Ngl some of the point values feel a bit off. How is the canonically "best libero in the country" who we know is a national champion, only an 8.5? Komori is easily a 10, as is Atsumu who is the best setter in the country. Aone should probably be an 8 as well, as one of the strongest walls.
