I'm very grateful to have been able to watch Barakamon, it is one such anime that I always go back to when I need a break from my busy life and I always make sure to confidently recommend it to others who ask for my recommendation .

I didn't even realize that first one was a trigger anime when I watched it back when. I think cause the animation felt very mild by comparison.

Ngl some of the point values feel a bit off. How is the canonically "best libero in the country" who we know is a national champion, only an 8.5? Komori is easily a 10, as is Atsumu who is the best setter in the country. Aone should probably be an 8 as well, as one of the strongest walls.

Hard mode Setter: Akaashi 8 MB1: Kuro 8 MB2: Matsukawa 7 OH1: Hoshiumi 9.5 OH2: terushima 7.0 OP: Osamu 8.5 L: Minamida 5.5 Bench Oyasu (MB 6"1) 0.5 Semi 4 Nurukawa 0.5 idea: build a very strong blocking formation that cuts off line for oppo and cross for outside to minimize what my weak libero has to manage and use my three versatile pin hitters to force points off block and through difficult seams, all while pressuring the opponent with Kuro, Hoshiumi, Terushima, Osamu, and Semi's strong serves (Semi Subs Matsukawa). Both middles are very good at reading the game and can effectively shut down any middle attack and properly support a systematic defense that will minimize the use of my libero. I would also leave Kuro in back row for Minamida because he has great serve receive and defense as well as being a good back row option.

I chose hard mode (53.5 points) Players: Setter - Oikawa 8.5 Outside Hitter (ACE) - Bokuto 9.0 Outside Hitter - Fukunaga 7.0 Opposite Daichi (CAPTAIN) - 7.5 Middle Blocker - Tendo 8.0 Middle Blocker - Onaga 5.5 Libero - Nishinoya 8.0 My teams Philosophy is Consistency and Balance. I think the players I chose are all balance in all aspects of the game besides Onaga. The more I think about it this team would be really difficult to defeat because of the defensive players like nishinoya, daichi who have had their clutch moments. The only slight problem is the middle blockers but it really depends on the rotation that this team lays out. Oikawa, Bokuto and Tendo and the front would be insane both offensively and defensively. Bokuto is a top 5 ace in japan and being paired up with arguably the best setter in the whole of haikyuu, Oikawa is known to make a strong team invincible or in general make individuals better so having these two together on one team would be difficult to beat. In terms of serves only two can do a jump serve while the rest can only do basic serves. The whole team dynamic would work so well the more I think about it like tendo and bokuto would be fun and nishinoya and bokuto. All the players compliment each other very well and I think this team could make it as far as the semi finals of Nationals.

The first half 2021 was truly C O M F for me, as I experienced both Yuru Camp S2 and Super Cub, one season after the other. Yuru Camp and Super Cub fans are the same people, after all, both shows happen in Yamanashi prefecture (Yuru Camp mostly in Minobu, and Super Cub in Hokuto), and both shows gave us peaceful lives amidst the then locked-down world. As a musician, my favorite detail in both shows is the use of their soundtracks to emphasize the emotions, and in Super Cub, the addition of classical pieces like Fryderyk Chopin's Nocturne Op. No. 2 in Eb Major, Erik Satie's Gymnopedia No. 1 (which I played myself here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ftWXi6eBm8vVXWg.html) and Je Te Veux, Claude Debussy's Clair de Lune, Arabesque No. 1, and La fille aux chevaux de lin (The Maiden with the Flaxen Hair - aka the "national anthem" of Windows 7), and Edward Elgar's Salut d'Amour really made the highlights of the episodes - so much so that I use which piece to remember the episode itself: Gymnopedie is Episode 7, Chopin's Nocturne is Episode 10, Arabesque No. 1 and Clair de Lune are Episode 1, and Salut d'Amour is Episode 12. Best part: Yuki Yomichi, who voiced Koguma, is herself a super-big motorcycle fan - starting from her high school years - and herself posts lots of motovlogs and videos about motorcycling on her vlog www.youtube.com/@yomichiyuki (here's her cosplay promo shoot for Super Cub as Koguma: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g9qagNRimquXlas.html). Also, Ayaka Nanase, Reiko's CV, was gifted an MD90 Hunter Cub - similar to Reiko's - for her birthday in 2021. Finally, Shii Eniwa Best Girl. Viva Italia!

Medium mode: Starting line-up: Setter: Tobio Kageyama Wing Spikers: Reon Ohira, Tsutomu Goshiki, Kenji Futakushi Middle Blockers: Rintaro Suna, Tetsuro Kuroo Libero: Yu Nishinoya Bench players: Tadashi Yamaguchi, Taro Onagawa, Hisashi Kinoshita Kageyama feels like an obvious choice as a setter. He has his flaws as a person, but those rarely come along on the field. There he's a fast learner, is mostly keeping a very keen mind and has a great overview over everything that happens. I don't think there's anything he does badly and he would be the glue that holds the team together. Though my collection of wing spikers lacks any obvious ace like Boguto or Ushijima, they definitely aren't lacking in skills and strength. Ohira would probably take the position as the ace at this point and I don't think he'd be bad at it. His spikes and serves are powerful and he seems to be a very solid player overall with a calm mind even in stressful situation. Opposite of that would be Goshiki, who's a way more tempered individual, but he still is a very good player with high stamina and enthusiasm. Though Futakushi didn't stand out as a wing spiker, he still wasn't bad by any means and his biggest strength is his contribution to the feared iron wall, which will work nicely with the middle blockers as well. Rintaro Suna probably was among the scariest blockers due to his speed and reflexes. He's very calculating and puts much stress on his enemies, being able to sort out those he's able to break. Kuroo is just very good at what he's doing and would probably end up as the captain as well, as he's already doing a great job with this in his real team. He and Suna would probably be a killer combination as they both seem like natural experts when it comes to blocking and like Suna he's very good at pressuring opponents. Together with Futakushi they could form a potentially even better iron wall than the one Date Tech is known for. Nishinoya is just an amazing libero as well and though he's immature outside of the games, he seems more than reliable in the games themselves. He would be an amazing back up if any ball gets through the already amazing defense and he can receive even some of the most dangerous serves with a little bit of learning. For the bench players, Yamaguchi and Kinoshita can perform nice serves that could give the team nice points in stressful situation an though we haven't seen much of Onagawa, he seems solid enough as a substitute. I feel like it would be without a doubt one of the best teams in the series with a focus on strong defense, a promising offense and possibly several tricks up its sleeve, as most of these players have a great understanding of the game. Especially with Kageyama who's able to really bring the best out of his teammates on the field this team would be very consistent and well rounded as a group.

I am very much new to Japanese anime...But I have seen this show..and LOVE IT!..The fact the name "Koguma"..means "Little Bear"..adds to the fact she is riding a Cub!...I also had a cat whom I named "Little Bear" a longtime ago...Was a stray whom I took in...This adds to my affection for the show......And surprising enough..I have recently visited Kagoshima..And other places mentioned in the show like Kumamoto. This solo trip to Japan was in Jan..And before I had heard of the anime "Super Cub"..I wish I had known before the trip so I could have brought some of the anime and manga etc of the show while there..How ever, I did purchase some for "Laid-Back Camp" which I vaguely knew about before the trip....And also I brought some for the anime "K-On!"..Which I did know a little about before the trip...As it had a influence on the founder of my now favourite band whom I had gone to Japan to see LIVE in Tokyo (from UK).....I have yet to watch "Laid-Back Camp"..But have watched all of "K-On!", "Super Cub" and "Bocchi The Rock"..ALL wonderfull in the way they are conveyed...The music in "Super Cub" also adds so much to the ambiance for me...I do hope for a second series..but I do not think it will happen...which would be such a shame.

I could not finish Little Witch, four episodes from the end. I came to deeply despise its waste of potential and utter failure to expand a world that seemed so nice and fun from the films. Sucy is one of the worst characters in fiction. Animation may be stellar, but if I don't care then no spectacle's gonna fix that. Kill la Kill meanwhile remains my favorite out of all of Imaishi's directorial work. It's the highest "9/10" I can give. I love it deeply, though realize it's got some problems - primarily in story pacing. It perfectly blends the cartoony action and serious emotional weight which I think Gurren Lagann struggles with. Even the huge spectacle at the end felt more meaningful, even if the scale was technically smaller. I go to bat for Kiznaiver as a really interesting look at a 'what if' scenario rather than a majorly exploratory narrative. It's got such charming absurdity and really excellent emotional highlights. Good on you for highlighting the character designs, still some of the best I've ever seen in anything. I'm sure they were hell to animate but I hope that style will be revisited some day. Lulaco is fun, but there's not much to the emotional stakes. It's just super weird, but it's so short that I can recommend it to people easily. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was great but I think it goes below KlK and Gurren Lagann. I had higher hopes at the start but it meanders a bit in the middle.

Difficulty Level - Hard. Team Strengths - Youthful / Top 3 Ace / Serve & Block / Technical & Strategic. Team Banner - Slow & Steady. Team Chemistry - 85% Starters - 53.5 Points. Setter - Keiji Akaashi (Fukurodani) (2nd Year) (C) (8.0) - Akaashi is among the best when it comes to analytical and methodical thinking, proving to be quite the strategies on-court, as for this he scored a commendable 4 out of 5 in game sense and technique, as well as acting as the vice captain of a powerhouse school well only being in his 2nd year. Having the skill set to perform a toss rebound when needed and all sorts of different types of sets from unconventional quicks to time difference, who he has chemistry doing this with Tsukishima during the summer training camp, also being able to perform a jump serve. With his good height of (6'0) he is a valuable asset to this teams blocking as well as being reliable on floor defence, he is mature and levelheaded enough already to lead this next gen team to the national stage, maybe not this year but for sure the next to come. Outside Hitter - Kenji Futakuchi (Date Tech) (2nd Year) (VC) (7.0) - Kenji “Smart Ass” Futakuchi is exceptional at read blocking whilst being a wing spiker, he was one part of the famous Date Techs Iron Wall in the Mayagi prefecture as well as serving as there teams captain while being a 2nd year. With his good height of (6'0.5) and blocking experience he will help teach the others to read block more accurately as well as perfecting the bunch shift technique and serve and block strategy. He is this teams strongest spiker power wise and vice captain, he is able to do a powerful jump serve consistently but he stats that he struggles with high tosses and messes them up occasionally. He has shown to be a talented receiver pick up numerous serves and spikes, one even being from Oikawa himself, he also loves to taunt his opponents at any given chance. Thought he is not the teams ace he is a solid offensive choice, even showing capabilities of performing a feint shot during the practice match against Karasuno and despite his flippant attitude, he does care about his teammates and will be a stern vice captain. Outside Hitter/Ace - Kiyoomi Sakusa (Itachiyama) (2nd Year) (10.0) - Sukusa is an exceptionally talented player, considered one of the top three aces in Japan even as a 2nd year, he is an all-rounder with remarkable skills in both offence and defence, which earned him an invitation to the All-Japan Youth Camp. He is the ace of this team obviously, for his unique quirk of insanely flexible wrists, which allows him to put nasty spins on his spikes and serves making them difficult to block and receive, even if the blocker is positioned correctly the ball will ricochet wildly leading to wipes, the spin is even consisted to be harder to deal with than Ushijima's southpaw spin. Sakusa is a highly skilled receiver who specialises is serve defence, as well as having a killer jump serve for reasons stated before and his crazy trajectory, being able to accurately target specific spots on the court, whether that be near the end line, side line or tooling blockers, that is with his spikes as well. Being genetically gifted with great height of (6'2.4) and the second tallest in the team he is a welcome addition to the new wall. Opposite Hitter - Akira Kunimi (Aoba Johsai) (1st Year) (7.0) - Kunimi's secret weapons are being efficient, conserving energy and always being calm, he is a very proficient player and a starting member on a top team in the Mayagi prefecture. Having scored an impressive 5 out of 5 in game sense, implying that while he may not speak it aloud, he has a keen eye and awareness for other players as well as his own positioning, that he likes to keep to himself. Kunimi does not put much effort into the early parts of the game but is quite reliable in the later half of the match due to his conservative nature, allowing him to attack multiple times in a row. He is not the strongest spiker but certainly knows how to get a point, his most used method is the feint shot, to get over the blockers or try to land the ball in open space. Being (6'0) he is a valuable blocker and has shown to be a skilled and thoughtful receiver, observing the situation, then making adjustments best suited for him and the team. Middle Blocker - Kei Tsukishima (Karasuno) (1st Year) (7.5) - Tsukishima is immensely proficient at read blocking, primarily because of his height of (6'2.8) and intelligence, scoring a 5 out of 5 in game sense and being a cool, calm and collected person who throughly analyses the state of the game and acts only on the information displayed in front of him, for this reason he is an excellent blocker, able to shut down or least soften any block he can get his hands too. Also being an intelligent scorer with the feint shot as well as pushing his limits to go above and beyond, his serve is nothing special but always consistent and doesn’t get fazed by anything. Tsukishima is this teams defensives pillar and will take charge and lead the way alongside Futakuchi. Middle Blocker - Rintaro Suna (Inarizaki) (2nd Year) (8.0) - Suna is a highly skilled blocker, and though he is considered short for his position stand at (6'1.1) he is a very formidable player, having an incredibly fast reaction speed and high game sense, he can quickly adapt to the opposing teams strategies and shut down there attacks swiftly and efficiently. Suna is also very strong on offence, thanks to his incredible shoulder and torso flexibility, allowing him to increase the range of his spikes while maintaining power, making him one of the top scorers on the team. Having the ability to deceive and rile up the opposing teams front line with his spikes and insults, he is a menace on the court, however he is noted to be a slow starter and tends to slack off when the team gains a comfortable lead. Libero - So Akama (Nohebi) (2nd Year) (6.0) - Akama is a very solid libero who plays for a top 4 team in one of the biggest prefectures in the country, he is supportive and switched on in game and was able to receive and dig multiple serves and spikes from Nekoma. As this team evolves I'm sure he will improve his defensive skills, especially when training with one of the top three aces in the nation as well as facing stronger opponents. Substitutes - 5.0 Points. Pinch Server/MB - Tadashi Yamaguchi (Karasuno) (1st Year) (5.5 - 3.0 = 2.5) - Yamaguchi has developed into a reliable pinch server with his killer jump float serve, although he still lacks on-court experience and consistency with receiving, he can shift the games momentum into our favour as well as having chemistry with Tsukishima, they will epitomise the serve and block. Pinch Server/OH - Aoi Himekawa (Tsubakihara) (1st Year) (5.0 - 3.0 = 2.0) - Himekawa is a shy person, similar to Yamaguchi, but he’s also just as hardworking and wants to improve his skills. He is capable of performing the ceiling serve, when he sends the ball high into the air which causes his opponents to unintentionally look into the light becoming distorted, therefore making it hard to receive and sometimes allowing him to score a service ace. Himekawa also appears to be a solid receiver and is stated to possibly be more of a defensive specialist, however because of his inexperience in actual matches, he occasionally hesitates and overthinks, but with more game time and practice he is sure to improve and become more confident. Setter - Ibuki Natsuse (Ohgiminami) (1st Year) (3.5 - 3.0 = 0.5) - Ibuki contributes as a back up setter for Akaashi if he gets injured or has a mental breakdown of some sort as well as providing moral support for the team. Starting Rotation. Back Row. 1. Keiji Akaashi - S 6. Rintaro Suna - MB / So Akama - LI 5. Kiyoomi Sakusa - OH Front Row. 4. Akira Kunimi - OP 3. Kei Tsukishima - MB 2. Kenji Futakuchi - OH Ideal Start - To start we want to embody the serve and block strategy, with strong serves and blocks, while utilising the blocking techniques bunch shift and spread shift, with strong blockers like Tsukki and Suna maintaining pressure on the opposing teams setter, Akaashi will capitalise on making a plan whilst conducting this teams unique offence. Game Hypothesis - With the levelheaded Akaashi control the flow of the game I feel like this team can do really good, considering we have no weak spikers on the team, everyone knowns how to score a point on there own and youth is on our side. This team will embody the serve and block strategy with everyone on the starting lineup being (6'0) and above, and as they gain more experience and chemistry this team will become a real threat, whilst still having a good chance this year. Team History - This team consists of five 1st years and five 2nd year who's 3rd years stepped down to focus on there studies therefore letting the next gen take the court. Through that this team will gain more experience and maturity on and off the court quicker than most whilst there 2nd years will have to step up and take the rains leading these young gems to future fame and glory.
