The LSU's Hailey Van Lith joins postgame after the LSU Tigers' dominant win over the Ole Miss Rebels, 106-66. The Tigers had been on a 2-game losing streak. Van Lith scored a season-high 21 PTS and 7 REB. This was LSU's 7th 100-point game this season, which is tied for the 4th-most by any team in a season in SEC history.

To all the people who wanna criticize Hailey and say that she made a huge mistake by switching to LSU…..they literally mentioned it in this video that Hailey isn’t just a point guard anymore, she’s playing a whole new position so she clearly has to learn it, and it’s not gonna be a super easy journey. Obviously she still has so much more work to do…..but some of you are way too critical and judgmental of her, you put too much pressure on her, and you expect too much from her. It’s not extremely easy to go from playing one certain position for 3 years of college, to then switching to a completely new position in your 4th year. I’d like to see some of you step in Hailey’s shoes or in her case….sneakers, and let’s see if you think it’s easy or hard, maybe then you’ll stop judging Hailey so much.

Oh knock it off the criticism was evidence based predicated on her play no one is blind here we watching the games. Critics realize she is playing a new position but also learning a new system which is why she should have been in Baton Rouge for the entire summer instead of playing USA 3 on 3 basketball learning the system and how to play the position from a vet who was attending summer school. Me I would have been trying to work out with Alexis Morris to learn the system and the position as she did the same conversion but had been in Mulkey's system three years. Mulkey's is not going to change five volume scorers into defensive wizards like talking about it they don't have a clue how to defend so use your fire power as they are learning the four levels of elite defenders.

This is why I don't understand, why she doesn't play her bench more (Kent really, and maybe Velez for a change of pace). You need to run a high octane offense, with those 5 great offensive players (where Reese; Johnson and maybe Morrow are you best defenders), and have your bench come in and play hard defense and rebound. This is especially the case (playing Kent consistently), when you'll most like have 1, 2, 3 of those great players on the floor with them anyway. This will give HVL; Johnson, and Mikaylah consistent breaks, if Kent can spell them, along with Poa. Shoot: Mulkey, may also be better off running the offense through Angel Reese (either up top, down low or both), as she and Mikaylah are the best passers on the team. This will free up Hailey More to do her thing. Regarding the 3 on 3: Maybe, HVL didn't think it would be this hard to learn Mulkey's system, especially the defensive rotations, etc.?

She is a legit old school point guard. Just look at the way she handles the ball and her movement. She actually has a great form on her shot also the problem is she is rather small. She should eliminate taking shots from the three-point line. The problem with a lot of these female players is simply something out of their control. Until they lower the rim by a foot this is the best action you are going to get in women's basketball for a very very long time.

Imagine how hard to be a white girl coming to the Deep South, all black team, and trying to be accepted and fit in. Probably not as hard as being a black player that goes to an all white team…, but the dynamics extend beyond basketball. Interesting and fun to watch from many perspectives. The energy and toughness displayed by Flau’jae and Angel is contagious. Angel plays as tough as anyone I’ve ever seen, male or female.

@Politil7060 She may have to run the offense through Angel Reese, if she's not going to have a motion offense overall. Yeah. They can win more, if they stop forcing HVL to be a true pg, and more of a hybrid, and let Reese take some of the pressure off down low or up top facilitating the offense, as she does to help the press sometimes.
