Brigham, the mic positioning was pretty bad in this video. Need to do a mic check periodically before you record ✌

Honestly not very impressed by the tone. Characterless, probably due to lack of serious voicing of the hammers. I find that even cheap hammers can be voiced well but it requires deep needling, needles out 1/4” from the voicing tool, so that the needles don’t break. Start with 1/16” to 1/8” jabs and steadily increase to where nearly full depth isn’t too difficult. Both hammer shoulders.
