Even in the safest of cities, it's virtually impossible to thwart some crimes. If it is a mental health issue it becomes even more difficult. If someone is off their meds, or having a psychotic episode, for whatever resson, all that can be done is to respond as quickly as possible. Training 1st responders to deal with such a situation is critical. I commend the police on their quick response. It seems that they prevented any additional civilians from being harmed. My thoughts and prayers for the loved ones of the boy that was murdered, as well as for the others that were injured. I wish for a complete recovery fot them all.
