Your hair is so beautiful and I just think you would be the perfect candidate for roller sets. When you think about how our mothers and aunties relaxed hair looked back in the day, it was so healthy. They retained length like it was nothing. It has hands-down been the best thing that I could have ever done for my relaxed hair. Maybe even trying it once at a salon to see how you like it?

Watching this video felt like déjà vu for me! When I was rocking my natural curls, the breakage was real, and my edges? They were struggling just like yours. And you know, some folks might tell you it’s all because of relaxing your hair, but honestly, that’s not it. I decided to go back to relaxers last year, and guess what? My edges have actually been growing back healthier. I've gotten into this routine where I wash my hair every week and give it a little extra love with some moisturizer mid-week. My hair’s fine and naturally on the dry side (hello, high porosity!) plus I live in the desert, which means breakage and I are pretty much old pals. So, I made a super light hair lotion that's been a total lifesaver. It sinks right into my hair without making it feel heavy or greasy because everything I tried left took the bounce right out of my hair. And, you know, I started thinking maybe it runs in the family, because my mom and my daughter - we’ve all got the same hair vibe going on with our edges. So, maybe it’s a bit of a genetic thing too. Just wanted to share my two cents and let you know you’re definitely not alone in this!

❤Your content. I look forward to your videos. I will say be careful with the use of Demi permanent hair color. A beautician once told me that the Demi permanent was breaking my relaxed hair. I just went back to Semi permanent and never used Demi again. I hope this was informative. Your hair is always beautiful! Keep up years GREAT WORK!

Great video - I am always inspired by how you treat your relaxed hair! We all experience setbacks even if we try to be as hair healthy as possible. Please could you do a full routine on how you treat breakage, what products can strengthen already damaged hair?

This time around you did a good trim, no dusting this time. Its complicated to find a balance between treating your hair in the best possible way and be a hair influencer so you have tro try new products and overstyle your hair too, maybe applying heat between washes its bad for the hair too. Thanks for the video

Your hair always looks AMAZING ❤. Those short hairs you’re seeing just may be hair growing back in that had previously shed. I have some too. For me, I know it’s not breakage because I always look at the hair in my comb to see if there’s a bulb at the end (shedding) or just short hairs with no bulb (breakage). 😊

I agree those short hairs away from your edges are likely shedded hair that is now in the regrowth cycle and your edges are fine. They do not look snatched out lol.

It’s really lovely coincidence I trimed my hair today too, because of you, I’m going to make it more of a habit, I think your hair is just longer. I don’t think there’s much of a problem the longer your hair is the more gravity is on it. In my opinion tho. Do you have any suggestions for volume?

That was a good trim, also you have healthy looking hair, My hair isnt relaxed but the care element applies to All hair + that last Jazz track was 👌🏾, really enjoy your content, I know you said your cutting back on products but i was reading the ingredients in the 'As i am' Rosemary line and they are the best ive seen yet (includes Saw palmetto as well as rosmary, copper tripeptide, Melatonin, ceramides and other peptides, caffeine and biotin) skin care for hair...would love a review if possibe!, its not available in London yet, i would purchase the Shampoo, conditioner, Rosemary Water, foam and oil when it comes here.

I think it’s these winter months that get us since it’s dry inside and outside. Every year I seem to notice the same thing around this time with my relaxed hair.. Simply put, I think your hair needs a rest.i wear protective styling most of the time and even my hair breaks off because it needs a rest from that too. I think too much of one thing can exhaust the hair. Textured hair is so Complex..

Something similar was happening to my hair, and after an assessment, the hairdresser explained my hair was weak because I fell off with the protein treatments. So, she did a series of intense protein treatments, and that is how my breakage was resolved. I was shocked because I was using a popular bond mending product, but she explained that those treatments are for maintenance and not corrective in nature.

@simplee_sunny
@simplee_sunny Ай бұрын
@@Lori_mcqueenIts a product she developed with a chemist but she said the Nairobi Nairoplex Treatment Conditioner for Seriously Damaged Hair works well. I however caution against doing intense protein treatments without the guidance of a professional as it can go horribly wrong because these products are very concentrated.

I’m trying to rehab my relaxed hair at the moment too. I wonder if your hair is over processed so it’s much less able to withstand styling etc. ETA I really think you should try limiting heat. I’m going back to roller sets 😢

I’m sorry but the entire time she was talking all I could think is someone please get @AfrikanHairGod to do a reaction. I know I might get a lot of smoke for this but he’s a licensed cosmologist that could answer a lot of these questions based upon the problems she’s noticed and expresses. Also can’t help but think that if she’s not worried then why should we be 🤷🏽‍♀️. She wants the cash then I guess her hair will just suffer. This isn’t rocket science. We all know by now what hair care practices are best for us 🙄.
