Ok so I tried your routine this morning (using diff products, but in the same order). I live in Las Vegas and it's been over 100 degrees with 30% humidity. My hair usually falls and parts after a couple of hours. But...TODAY I went to a meeting, met a friend for coffee and did "big shopping". And to my AMAZEMENT when I got home and finished putting stuff away, I looked in the mirror and my hair looked JUST AS GREAT AS WHEN I LEFT THE HOUSE! Many many thanks for sharing your MAGIC! 😘

I had my hair styled like this year's ago it's my go to short spiky cut. It took 5 mins to style and I was out the door. Now my hair is past my butt and it takes a hr to dry. I have arthritis in my hands and can't handle my hair much anymore. I'm hoping to cut it short again soon and I love your cut. My hair is stubbornly straight Asian hair but I used a palmade and it gave me lots of volume. 😊

Hi Sharalee, this video helped so much with all my questions and so glad you addressed if you lay down on the back, haven't got the enjoy product yet but have ordered it can't wait for it to get here, this video has got me so excited, got my cut last week and as you know I have been struggling with styling it, but seen that you have the same cow licks as me especially the crown, thank you again for your advice and putting yourself out there, you help so much ,you have no idea. I just cut my hair like this. Mine is super think and wiry gray. I love the color, but haven't been able to find a style that works with the texture. This one is a winner! Thanks for the tutorial. I have everything but the wax. Will look for that next trip out.

Love your hair! May I ask what type of shampoo and conditioner you use? I have thick hair also and like to keep my hair short too. I use some of the same products you shown but I have not used a flat iron or successfully got the spikes look at the back down pat…Thank you for sharing the video. You’re very pretty!

Sharalees. did your stylist point cut the top and back of your head or did he add some other type of texturizing? It appears rather blunt but I'm almost sure it's not. Thanks so very much.

That’s a very important question!! Yes, my stylist does a lot of point cutting at the crown and through the back of the hair. Then she will also do some texturizing about every other time to keep my hair from getting too “bushy”😉

some girls spend their life and pots of money trying to find their perfect hairstyle and I reckon you`ve found yours with ease. Of course its all about the superb cut and colouring which makes the style work so great for you and your hair type so I guess you`ve managed to find a real good stylist who knows their stuff. Chelle Weber Thank you so much! I just broke out my ruler and determined the length of my hair at the crown is 2.75 inches. It's been almost 4 weeks since my last cut so I'd say after a fresh cut it's usually about 2 inches😊

Sharalee I love your hair tutorials. What texture is your hair? I can't really tell. Looks like you have loads of hair with natural body. Do you have any tutorials with your hair cut longer or in a different style like a Bob? I also just love your videos with several looks using one pallette. They are super helpful! Sharalees Box Of Chocolates I love this style, and have seen your video before. My question is how does one cut this style, as I have a thick head of hair, feathered cut, sweeping back and up on the sides and top? I give a stylist 2-3 tries then on to another, and the same thing. I ask for pixie, (spike) but is seems people I have tried, can't even get the length/bulk on each side to match, nor the same angle, let along the pixie cut I request. I have nice silver streaks (natural) that I want emphasized. Please a tutorial on the cut/thinning for this style.

I have been told that my hair is fine but I have a lot of it. Currently wear as a short shag. Will this style work for fine hair? Sometimes too much product causes it to go flat.

Yes, I think this cut could work well for you! The Enjoy Dry Wax will be the key though for success...it doesn't get greasy or weigh the hair down😊

Betty Baker-Rodela My hair is pretty thick. However, my stylist does have to "thin" my hair a bit so it's not too bushy....if your hair isn't super thin, it may work well for you😊

I've been hunting for a new look and, even though I have brown hair with chunky highlights, I'm pretty sure that I will be getting my hair cut like yours! TWO QUESTIONS (I hope that you're still answering them for your video)... 1) Is your hair naturally straight or curly/wavy? Awww, thank you for your sweet compliments😘 I do have very thick hair, which I think is a bonus for this style. My hair is not curly....I do have some random waves and cowlicks though. While you may have to do a little more flat ironing to get the spiky look, you may also have the option of leaving the back more curly at times. Hope that helps!

You seem so personable and down to earth, which calms my nerves and I feel much braver... I'm 49 and ready to try something new and awesome for my new hairstyle and overall look...wish me luck! My hairstylist is one of my former students from when I taught Comedy at her High School (she's also my daughter's best friend), so she understands my personality needs to match my hairstyle (I'm just over 18, but I never really became an adult) 😉.

I love your hairstyle and am thinking of cutting it like yours. However, I do have a question. I noticed you put a lot of different products in your hair. Does your hair get greasy or oily with all the different products you use? Thanks. Love your hair and it's looks adorable on you.

Katherina Sheehan Thank you so much! Great question....most pomades can easily make your hair greasy or oily, especially if you get a tiny bit too much. However, with the Enjoy Dry Wax, my hair does not get greasy or oily. The only product that I have to be careful with is the Argan Oil...too much and it can make my hair limp and a little greasy. Hope that information helps you!

You are new to me, but I have a much shorter spike style. How can I get the top, but keep sides and back straight without having that harsh separation? Oh, I spike for informational uses.

Mary Meyers I think as long as the cut tapers properly from the top spiked portion into the back and sides, it should work. I know a couple of ladies that style their hair that way and it looks fabulous!

When I had the back of mine going outwards I found myself leaning forward away from my car headrest and chairs with backs. lol It effected my neck after 2 years. Do you find any problems with that? Great style on you!

Great question! I have heard some with curly hair having success with this cut. It depends on how tight your curl is but I think you could do it....might just need a little extra work with the flatiron😊

her's looked good after she took the towel off. I do like the idea of trying some wax on mine, and having it cut a bit short in back so it will spike up ;) I'll try your product as I really need volume for my fine hair, I seem to have enough, but so fine it just goes flat.

you so gorgeous and the cut is also, have always wanted this cut but afraid it will make me look heavy since my face is round and my family says it does but they prefer my hair long and it takes a lot of time to get it not to frizz and I really have always wanted this cut, just worried it will make me look heavy as I am 5 1 and 160, what do you think,,,,I absolutely love it and looking for something that dosent take much time to style cuz always in a hurry tysm Kathy

You are so sweet, thank you! I actually was very hesitant about short hair too for the same reason...I have more of a round face and full cheeks. But I’ve found it to be much more flattering and I actually feel the swept bangs, texture and spikes help create some dimension and create angles to break up my more round face. Additionally, I’ve become a big fan of contouring my cheeks and that also has worked wonders😉 The ease and speed of styling has made me never want to go back to long hair again😘

Sharalees Box Of Chocolates hey Sharalee, I got my hair cut and would love it if I could fix it so I don't have a hole everytime I fix it lol constantly asking everybody if I have a hole in the back of my head lol have bought so many things to spike it but think I am going to get the catwalk root lift and the enjoy that you use, just can't figure out how to keep from having holes , you think maybe it wasn't cut right, I sent stylist the video of you getting youth haircut, thought that would help with stylist knowing exactly how to cut it but I don't think it helped she laughed and said I need to stop watching utube, went back in 2 days to get help with styling it and she cut a little more to texture but thinking it may need more, just at a loss

Ok, so the first thing to do is not panic😊 Your hair is till probably in shock😆 There can also be a learning curve for you AND your stylist so hang in there!! First of all, I think you will definitely get some help with the Root Boost and the Enjoy Dry Wax. I’m just wrapping up a video on several other pomades I’ve tried and seriously there is nothing that gives you the hold and moldability that you can get from the Enjoy. All that said, there are a couple other things you can do when blow drying your hair to help fix the “hole” in the back of your head😘 I go over these steps in-depth in my Troubleshooters Guide to styling a Pixie. Teri Lynn Thank you for watching! I'd say my natural hair color is dark brunette and then I have a 2 color highlight with a bright blonde (level 1) and then a caramel color. My stylist is located in Southern California and this particular style was a longer pixie or could be categorized as a short shag😊 I have lots of pictures on my Facebook page of all of my various hairstyles in case you want to take them to your stylist for inspiration.
