You Can't Stop The Beat is a winner every time! Too bad Harvey didn't appear in the performance as Edna. I so cannot wait till December for NBC to present Hairspray Live.

she wins because of the musical. it was a hit and gonna sweep the tonys no matter who plays tracy. I mean, good god on earth, she beat Bernadette Peters in Gypsy, which is heresy for broadway fans.

I think they intentionally left him out cause of the complexity of the costume. The guy that plays the mother usually wears a body suit and it's too much of a hassle to have that for one song in one part of a show,
