@@NickdeBey it did blow up, I've been a fan for a very long time. But it wasn't in teenage tik tok videos I guess back then it would have been Myspace, but it wasn't nearly as prevalent as it has been this go-round. Regardless, this beauty is absolutely timeless. Jamie is a legend.

Imagine this song, at the end of your fulfilling life, on a hospital bed, going through your memories about the places you visited and what you accomplished. When the song hits "I am lost" You close your eyes and when you open them next time you are on a green field, on a sunny Day and you hear a "Hey", you turn around and there are all your loved ones, everyone that you ever cared for in your life from before.

LYRICS I am lost in our rainbow Now our rainbow has gone Overcast by your shadow As our worlds move on In this shirt, I can be you To be near you for a while In this shirt, I can be you To be near you for a while There's a crane Knocking down All those things That we were I awake In the night to hear the engines purr There's a pain It does ripple Through my frame, makes me lame There's a thorn in my side It's the shame, it's the pride Of you and me Ever changing Moving on now Moving fast And his touch Must be wanted Must become Through your ask But I need Jake to tell you That I love you It never rests And I've bled every day now For a year For a year I did send you a note On the wind for to read Our names there together Must have fallen like a seed To the depths of the soil Buried deep in the ground On the wind, I could hear you Call my name, held the sounds I am lost I am lost, in our rainbow Now our rainbow has gone I am lost, in our rainbow Now our rainbow has gone I am lost I am lost I am lost I am lost I am lost

In my most humble opinion, I’m no professional but my mom is a musician/singer so I’ve grown around music. This is a masterpiece. His voice is perfection, his tone so unique and clear. The instruments specially the cello and violins are mind blowing. Everything works even on this video, how they are dressed, I just love the whole thing, the theatrics. This song evokes so many emotions, it makes me smile, it makes me cry, it gives me goosebumps. I am in love with this song and I want to thank this group for bringing this concept to life, so perfect. (English is not my first language )

Planted in the mire of middle age, my focus is on the news, and the worries of the day. Once in awhile though, a song like 'In this Shirt' dances along my vagus nerve, and cracks open a flood of emotion, and love, and pain. It makes me feel breathless. Like I am flying through a rain forest, and my memories are rushing along beside me. Music is the language of the soul. Masterworks like this song are the translation of that language.

_"From time to time i have something akin to the “madeleine moment”, highly significant feelings that never get past a few seconds in duration, but mostly just a flash. One particular aspect of these moments is that they present themselves as brief insights into the way i used to feel as a child or teenager. And compared to them my life now is like a sketch who outlived and replaced its full and vibrant subject. […] We’re usually focused on the outer expression of kids vs adults but everything is downstream from this inner shift - it’s our most intimate dynamics that goes from “play” to “work”. *As a kid, listening to the radio resulted in a chain of wildly different universes as songs followed one another.* Now in my late 30’s i have a more generic and well established experience of “listening to pop music” that suffers slight tweaks as the songs change. I think this is set in the brain’s biology governing the developmental stages. The young mind must have a wealth of possible “representations” & reactions towards the environment, testing and selecting them. The mature individual must be constant, having trialed responses that guarantee results. Evolution didn’t specifically honed us to enjoy life, it honed us to be efficient. Another intuition that i picked up, this time from eastern thought, is that this pruning of experience happens around the linguistic scaffolding. Using language we parse a wildly rich & subtle reality into stable concrete categories - “listening to music”, “vacation”, “dog” - and then the mind becomes a master at reducing richness & subtlety to these limited number of types. Concomitantly it assigns invariant feelings and emotions to each category, which is a necessary part in order for the adult to manifest steady well tested behaviors in a quick & energy efficient way. What we get is an individual whose experience tends towards a generic “vacation” whether he goes one place or another. *As a little kid i changed universes merely going into another room or changing the TV channel. But now in my late 30’s my well defined psyche wins and imposes itself over many scenes and situations."*_

I dont really write comments in any video, but this is truly special... I'm a person who is quite difficult to cry, when I was a child I always cried when I was angry but not sad. Now with 28, living and adult life with all these disadvantages of life, I'm still struggling if I want to cry. But when I put this song... men this makes me cry so hard, that song makes me think in all my bad and good moments, my family, my friends, my love... 5 minutes of pure feelings. Thanks so much for this athem. Now I feel better...

This was _spellbinding._ As a songwriter, this makes me reevaluate the need for a traditional song form (verse, chorus, bridge...) on everything. If a melody and chord sequence is beautiful enough, hey, just keep looping it back into itself and bringing various elements in and out of it.
