I've always appreciated Stallone's humility. Even in a movie he had creative control over he has no problem with his character getting his head handed to him.

Yes sir that is correct. My mom was a huge Sylvester Stallone fan and this is one thing she did mention along the way. When they show a close-up of his sad eyes when he was struggling and hemmed up by bad guy, my mom would freak out and used to say, "😫Awwww!😫",- then immediately get up out her seat and cheered "Get him!, get him!" when he got free and started busting skulls! 🤣🤣 🤦🏽‍♀️🥰🤦🏽‍♀️

His body was ravaged to the point in which he is estimated to be at the health level of someone 15 years older. this means at 59, his current age he has the body and physical stamina of a 74 year old.

By his own words, Jet Li had recovered from the illness and refuted the claims he's seriously ill or even wheelchair-bound. He's accepting fewer roles not because of his health, but because he wants to focus more on his charity work.

Cool ending to a disappointing fight. A world champion kickboxer, a former All-China Wushu Champion, and a martial arts-trained former Olympian. They could have crafted an overall fight scene for the ages.

Pretty sure that's the entire point of the movie isn't it? Stallone just grabbed every bad ass action movie star he could find and made an over the top 80s/90s style action movie and it worked wonderfully. Action movies are pretty shit now a days, they take themselves too seriously it's always the offbeat ones that are the best...John Wick excluded because those movies are just done so well

Terry Crews was actually upset with how little screen time he originally had in the movie. He eventually spoke to Stallone about it and they created the AA-12 scene with him. It was a great scene and shows how awesome Stallone is to the other actors in the movie around him.

I like how Statham and Lee are just laying dudes out with multiple hits but the main bad guy just gets one kick to the leg and Jet Li decides "yeah that should do it " and just moves on to the next guy

Those were the Omaya Kaboom rounds he talked about earlier in the film I guess. When the primers are armed, they basically turn anything they hit into red sauce. And it's a big ass round too.

I liked that Gary Daniels character (the Brit) was just casually standing by chewing gum while Barny was being tortured, just shows how normal all this is and how desensitized he is to it all. A bad hardcore man in a brutal world, very illustrative of the reality that the Expendables takes place in. Its a shame that Hollywood dose have the balls to make movies like this anymore, these movies are basically the last hurrah for old school hardcore action flicks.

Fun fact: Sylvester Stallone specifically sought out Terry Crews to play Hale. Terry was the only man Sylvester wanted to play the role. However they weren't really doing much with his character, I was beginning to feel like he was just there. Because of that he developed a very bad attitude and was close to leaving the movie. But one night something happened and he decided to turn a 180 what his attitude and decided he was going to be the best he could no matter what. The next day he was very pleasant I'm very kind and offering to help anybody out with anything. He was doing so much that Stallone and approached Terry one day told him "You know what Terry, I'm going to have your character save my life." So Sylvester reroute the entire script to fit in this scene. It says a lot about the character of these men.

best part, in an interview with Terry he wasn't suppose to be in this scene at all. He was going to have a much smaller role in the movie. But, he was bummed out about it, but then remembered to always give 100. His attitude on set changed and stallone saw that. He rewrote the script for terry to come in and save everybody. then in expendable 2(3?) he gets shot within 5 mins and is out until the end.

Jeez, that AA-12 Shotgun packs one hell of a punch it might as well be a small version of a boltgun. For those that are familiar with Warhammer 40K lore the boltgun (or bolter) is the main weapon of the Space Marines, however it's also used by the Sisters of Battle and a few Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard) who can handle the firepower of the weapon though theirs is smaller compared to the Space Marine's.

I think Old Spice could really capitalize on this scene... Just have Terry blasting away with the AA 12, then cut to a cleaned up Terry all nice and calm, holding a bottle of Old Spice with his big smile, saying, "Remember that [BLEEP] at Christmas!"
