HALF CIRCLE VASE, woodturning

in this video I tried to make something new, by making a half circle vase, this method produces 2 circles, in another video later I will share another part of this piece, this work takes approximately 4 working days, made of wood rengas, eucalyptus and rosewood, for finishing using beeswax

Very nice job on the lamination, which can be very tricky to get right. The difficult part was getting the outer ring dark and light parts to line up, which didn't quite work. I suspect that sanding the two parts of the lamination meant that they did not quite line up with the perfect ring, so when you cut the thing in half, the outer ring did not line up. Tough to get it all correct, but nice concept!

Thank you very much for the rating..🙏🙏🙏 , you are absolutely right the sanding isn't perfect, never thought it would turn out like that, had I known then I would have made some parts of the ring dark light and not side by side like that 😁🙏🙏

The black and white pieces did not line up. would it not have made more sense to cut longer pieces and turned them as a half circle with a plain piece of wood as a second side then cut it in half after turned to make a continuous alternating band between the two faces? Other than that, this is a magnificent piece!
