Hello everyone.
Today is one of the series about "TIG Welding Stainless Pipe Root Pass" following the previous time.
There are several methods of keyhole welding.
What I'm going to show you today is a half keyhole welding technique.
The video shows the process of making a thick back bead by half key hole welding.
It is the same half key hole welding, but there is also a method to make a relatively low back bead.
We plan to make those methods into a series as well.

I'm glad your throat doesn't hurt anymore. Instead of capsaicin and whiskey, you can use vodka infused with pepper. You can buy ready-made "Pertsovka" (just take Ukrainian not Russian), or do it yourself. Add a couple of pepper pods to a bottle of strong alcohol (0.5 - 0.7 liters) and let it infuse. A week will be enough and you can not get the pepper. 🙂

One issue with a large bead on the inside of a pipe, it is a restriction reducing pipe flow velocity and it also creates turbulent flow through the pipe and can cause erosion and corrosion. It looks like a very wide HAZ and some of the HAZ is outside the shielding gas coverage. The bead itself looks sweet though

스승님 영상보고 따라 반키홀 멋지게 8인치 써스 빽냈습니다 근데 연결하는부분을 다시 알고싶어서요 여러 방법이 있는데 제가 3년만에 다시 티그홀다 잡다보니 컨트롤이 안되서요 제가 배울때 연결전 최대한 얇게 ㄷ자로 갈아서 연결하는걸로 배웠는데 좋은 테그닉이 있다면 전수 부탁드립니다

Very clean! What about doing a one pass on this 3mm pipe with CLOSED root? Is it possible? Would very much appreciate if u showed us! :)

Not easy to get a consistent root, can tell you that much lol Was trying to do ecatly that at work, but kept getting root undercut or incomplete penetration. Cant watch the front of the puddle and it penetrating as you go👍
