Күн бұрынA viewer told me that their favorite tavern in Las Vegas was the Rustic House, especially on Sundays as they do 50% off their steak menu. I'm certainly not going to say no to half off steaks so I made the trip to their Summerlin/Southwest location. They have a relatively varied menu and I'm going to be trying a lot of dishes because as you may have heard:

@shinlee3921 PappaRoti is a new one in Vegas, while _Pan Asian Thai Cuisine_ sounds good too. If you type "Vegas Malaysian Food" into the Google Maps search bar, several restaurants will pop up, but several have low 4⭐️ to 3+ ⭐️ ratings, so I'd do some research before diving in!

The fact that the steaks claim to be half price, but do NOT come with a side, as they normally do, is reason alone to avoid this establishment.

Most places here are no longer offering sides as part of the meal. They're priced separately and pretty pricey too. I was surprised the first time I saw that.

Man, it seems like the quality of food at restaurants has gone way downhill. I feel like every time I watch these I say to myself, what I cook at home tastes better and is much higher quality food, than these grill type restaurants... Too bad, pre covid I used to love eating at places like this. But now I cook at home, doesn't look like I'm missing anything

Great job, shin! Masterful ordering as always! The outside texture of the filet was odd. Almost grainy looking. Out of everything the sandwiches looked the best to me.😊

Ive tried a couple of things, but my go to is the escargot for an app, and i would always share the rack of lamb with my husband, ended with cherries jubilee. but honestly if i don't watch it with that tray they first bring out, i am full!!!!!!! I am also a big fan of vodka sauce vs spaghetti sauce. It’s so creamy and flavorful. I love a good mornay sauce too as it can be seasoned so many difference ways. The lettuce on the Caesar salad looks like it came out of a bag as it has mostly the cores/stalks of the lettuce which is why I never buy bagged salad mixes. I have learned that any food item labeled “crack” is usually a disappointment. $16 for 6 small shrimp is a turn off. But then again, I wouldn’t be brave enough to order seafood at a sports bar. (Thanks for taking one for the team) I don’t mind spending $$$$ on good food but price gouging for mediocre food is not acceptable. Glad the Philly fries and burrito were tasty. Thank you for the video.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Caesar salad came from a bag. But they do have some good food here. I wouldn't go out of my way as a tourist, but anyone local to the spot can still get a good meal. Thanks for watching!

Hii Shin! I love these local’s videos. When we come to Vegas, we love to eat off the strip and you’re giving us some really great places to try. Have you ever been to Cleaver? If not, you should check it out. They have happy hour on their steaks (as well as other items) every day. Great video as always!

Some good pricing here! For breakfast I'd be on the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. I love that with some home fried potatoes. For dinner, if I was going low budget I'd try the burrito. Both under $20.

Overall not bad/ Prices are the usual but as someone stated down below the steaks dont come with sides half off. Lets be frank most of the times you never finish all the sides anyways. So it is still a decent deal overall even if you have to pay for a side with it. Now the TUNA chips - my only complaint is the mint color drop. That just says 1950s all over it but thats me being picky. Overall- 4.5 out of 5 based on atmosphere/ the look of the food and shins review. The main ding was the white painted brick walls. I would have gone for a more natural look with them, even if they are fake. It just has a tad Office Cafeteria Vibe with walls.

I though getting a 1lbs bone-in ribeye steak for $24 is pretty decent all things considered. If I was dining off camera, I would have sent the steak back for a proper mid-rare cook. I think the place is great for locals in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way as a tourist to try it. Thanks for watching!

I feel like you just used your rich-people holotech to do this one Shin. Like, this was all done in VR or in the Matrix. Shame about those steaks actually. They had an amazing char, and I'd hope those seasoning blends would have helped overcome to overcook, but I guess not sadly. And hey that burrito reminds me of the old days at Chipotle - before they cut them down in size by like half. And of course didn't smother them in salsa verde or something. lol

Some hits and misses here. I would have sent the steak back if I was off-camera most likely. But I did like some of the dishes quite a bit. I'd go back for those Philly fries and a Pepsi to hang out. Thanks for watching!

I'm also suspicious of American restaurants doing ethic foods when it's not the focus. Seems they are trying to do too much. They need to get the quality down for a few dishes before trying to do Mexican and Asian. Seems the cooks don't know their meat temperatures.

I do think my blood pressure is pretty high and I can work on my cholesterol. But I lift 4 days a week and do cardio 3 days a week typically. I just gotta stop eating like trash on the days I'm not filming lol. Thanks for watching!

Superlative review, presentation and production. Frustrating that they couldn't get the doneness right. It happens way too often. When wanting medium-rare, I order rare. I don't want a burger medium or medium-well. I want it medium-rare. And what's with that chili oil on a steak?

Yeah, may be better to err on the side of caution and order less cooked than what you're originally looking for. I've had some good chili oils on steaks, more of a southwestern preparation. It's good if it's not overwhelming. Thanks for watching!

those were some sad lobster tails. $38 for 2 frozen 3oz tails. Why these are on the menu makes no sense. They should focus on the burgers and steaks, and get away from their poor attempt at asian cuisine. Maybe cut the menu in half, and stop overcooking the steaks. Hey at least you stayed under $300 this time. hehe

@VegaswithShin Chicken Sandwich looked really good and it wasn't over battered or brick hard! I haven't tried vodka sauce yet, it seems to be the latest ✌️it✌️ food. I do like a good vodka sauce as it brings that creaminess to a standard tomato sauce. I will eventually have some merch, just very busy with the rest of life to focus on it lol. I wouldn't mind doing a collab but scheduling is very difficult. I have scheduled my first collaboration coming next month and it's a good one. I hope you like it :) Thanks for watching!

Although it's great to see these local places it would have to take somewhere special to get me away from the action. I would really like to hear more about the location and perhaps a map with proximity to certain casinos or landmarks. Eating with my eyes it all looked amazing but odd to see the place near empty during Prime dinner hours, especially with a half off steak special.
