Hi, I practice half-volley occasionnally (which is not of the taste of my teacher, but I do feel that mastering the tempo of the point is key, even from the back of the court, and half-volley helps in this respect), and I have a question, seeing your student: her ready position is already very low, with knees pretty much bent, and thighs under continuous tension. Might be more tiring yet still fine at the age of 25, but at 45-50-60 ..... different story. So how low should we be at the back ? Thanks, BR

Hahaha thanks for the compliment but I am 33/Riikka Being low helps but if you cannot stay low all the time then at least when waiting for the overhead it’s good to stay lower. The better the level the lower you will have to defend also
