This is the short version of the review as unfortunately it turned into a 3 day product test.

Really helpful vlog, I was just about to give up and buy a new battery as mine was completely flat and I thought it was dead as this charger wouldn’t work, after watching this My son gave my car a jump start and I left for a couple of minutes, then put the charger back on the battery and it started charging!!👍

Do they need electricity to work or just connect straight?

Thanks for this. I was wondering why the charger wouldn’t move from the red. Won’t charge flat batteries. Ffs

Unfortunately so, I don't know what voltage it is looking for either to start the charge, probably at least a couple of volts. You may have to do what I did and use another charger for part of the work then let this take over, or if you don't have another charger some jump leads to another car/battery may bring the power up enough to fool it into working.

Can i ask what old charger did you use that charged your conpletely dead mazda battery. Im in the same situation.

It was a smaller Halfords battery charger. The one marked for up to 1400cc, non-automatic version that just put out power rather than waiting to detect when it's connected to something.

How do you know when it is charged? Ive had mine on for 12 hours and its showing green flashing yellow and red?

Mine goes to solid green when it is charged, there is no function for anything to flash so something must be wrong somewhere. Maybe the battery is bad....
