Agreed. The music was fabulous, John Carpenter and his son did a splendid job. The only part I didn't feel fit well, was when we see first see Michael back in Haddenfield after he bumps into those kids, grabs the hammer etc etc. The Halloween theme might be iconic and cool but IMO it destroyed the atmosphere and intensity to it... The music in the second trailer was MUCH more suitable in that scene for instance. Should have been dark like that. But yeah, some brilliant moments with compositions in here, I loved it myself.

Honestly, I almost stopped watching this a few times. If I hadn't seen the movie first, I would have. I felt like they all went into it wanting to hate it and give it a shit review from the get go. XD It's a fucking slasher movie. They weren't going out to make Citizen Kane.

Emerald Ash Borers Cause he's a big guy and usually slasher killers are portrayed as strong and it wouldn't make sense if they weren't unless it's chucky ect.. There's also supernatural element to him which might get explained more in the sequel.

As much as I disliked this movie, I'll agree the motion light sequence was pretty well done. The only part I genuinely felt uncomfortable was when he bludgeoned the woman with the hammer and then kept walking through the house. I just wasnt sure for a moment if he was gonna kill the baby. The rest of the movie was lazy and not scary at all

They didn't say it was awesome. Besides, it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Everyone wanted a deep methodical superhero story that followed a formula, and cried when they didn't get one. It was supposed to be a chaotic, fun action comic book flick with a bit of camp.... and that's exactly what it was. I enjoyed it.

And the other guy passed out from blood loss or something and dies after. I remember the doctor, the dad, and woman looking out the window. I guess the dance class kid. And that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Maybe one or two more kills. 17 kill count and only showed like 4-6. Post death scenes were fine but most didn't show the actual kill.

Keep in mind they trimmed the movie considerably for time. Unfortunately some of the kills may have been rushed due to this. We won't know unless we ever get a director's cut.

What does his age have to do with his strength. There are a lot of 70 year olds that could destroy Alex easily and take him apart. The only real advantage would be stamina but don't underestimate someone just because they're older. You don't just turn into an invalid when you become or approach Senior Citizenhood.

I think they are more surpised that the man was able to maintain his body strength in an asylum inprisonment as it would have more restrictions than prison, plus he is the type of person that can be put into a straitjacket do to his crimes which would make doing basic workouts impossible or limited to sections of the body.

Yea you can tell they don’t appreciate horror very much. I enjoyed the film but there were def useless bits, but there were some amazing moments too. I still enjoy the first 2 and 4 very much. Because it feels like Halloween night. Even with everything in this movie the aesthetic didn’t catch me. But I still liked it. It’s very hard to beat the original it’s pretty much a perfect movie in its right.
