Something is up with the other elite ranks so I had to just use minor variants for this battle. Im not sure what's currently the issue but using higher ranks causes the game to crash in some instances.

Watching the Elites flick their shielding online just as the firefight begins is so cool. It's little details like that which I appreciate.

Elites biggest weakness is doing a super telegraphed rage animation whenever you bust their shields

To me, the AI in this game is definitely a massive improvement from 4 and 5 and seems to be a lot closer bungie's Ai programing. Both elites and brutes are fun to fight and satisfying to kill. Though I do miss the elite vehicle evade animations, and all brute ranks being able to go berserk.

Halo Infinite really defined why the sangheili got their title as “Elites”. Agility, Tactical awareness, Weapon expertise, Improved armor and shielding. Halo 4 and 5 made me forget why they were Elites to begin with.

Elite minors in this game have the strongest shields. They can survive a sniper headshot in normal compared to the other games.

I find the Elites in this game the best in the series. they felt like they deserved their title. Reaches were tough, but more in a bullet sponge way. These ones are tough because they seem agile and tactical.

That Elite on 1:39 is like the Noble 6 of the banished lol

I enjoy this. no music, no annoying bs. I can actually play this while doing other thigns which means i can watch it a lot. Please make more of this

I always loved how the brutes held rifles as if they were pistols. Like how they held carbines with one hand in Halo 3. And it’s so cool to see them wield over-the-shoulder launchers like rifles here in Infinite. I just wish they still did that with turrets, like how they did in H3.

It's cool to notice that the Elite's shield actually gives off a glow that lights the environment around them which stops when their shield breaks. That's also true for Brutes. Nice way to tell if their shield is on or not (though the Brutes shield is quite a bit more visually noticeable anyway).

Although I love the elites, the brutes put up a great fight. This is the best we've seen the Brutes imo. Capable, aggressive, and durable. I think they really came into their own as a more numerous medium infantry threat.

What I like about these am battles is that the elites or brutes have no lines for such an encounter and say things like human and demon which is very funny

I feel that these Elites are more intelligent but less agile than those of Reach, at least it is an advance. In Halo 4 and 5 they are practically like the Brutes Halo 3. I would have liked the ranks of Zealots to return with their burgundy armor, it also makes me curious that the Rangers and the Guard Honor weren't either, and that they were the from Halo Wars 2.

343 has a lot of work ahead of them but they mastered the Banished combat experience aspect of Infinite. AI I'd great and so is the dialog.

Also seeing that massive fight at the end made me think of experimenting with Fall of cybertron AI soldiers.

I play the game in french but watching those videos, I tend to prefer the brutes and jackals in english but the elites in french, the french voiceactor make them sound like gentlemen à la Halo 2.

Do you know what the ceiling is as far as number of AI in play at once? Curious if there are any issues with 30 to 40 AI running around since I'd love to have big firefight battles if they ever add it.

When I first played the campaign it threw me off when Elites started to spawn/use human weapons. I could see the brutes and grunts using them but Elites? I always viewed as them as "ballistics so uncivilized" type. As for halo 3 well their allies I give it a pass.

I think my favorite part is towards the end when everyone is having this nice tactical battle that is fairly even in the middle arena, and in the background there are like 17 Elites bum-rushing a brute Chieftain to get him out of the fight.

You should have had elites and brutes armed with the exact same weapons fighting each other.

That ending with all those Elites carrying swords rushing into battle haha that was cool

I think it's a flaw of the AI pathfinding that they still have to program little hop animations for them to fall off of a 2 foot drop. If they just moved fluidly from one place to the next it would make them able to position themselves against the player better.

I never noticed that the elites leave some sort of blue light on the ground. Pretty cool.

Really cool fight and I love Infinite’s AI but looking at this I don’t think brutes and elites have ever been equal in fights in the game even though that’s what they’re advertised as in lore. The powerful tank vs the tactical speedy warrior, different advantages over each other. In Halo 2, brutes were OP and it was pretty much decided if a brute got into CQC with a non-sword elite. In Halo 3, elites had the advantage because Halo 3 brutes were fodder except for chieftains. Halo Reach brutes were a step up from 3 but Halo Reach elites were unstoppable and still held the advantage. While Infinite brutes are better than 3’s, Infinite elites are pretty damn tough since they spawn much less often in the brute-centric Banished. Was an awesome fight but almost sad that the brutes of various ranks nearly lost to nothing but minors, even with two chieftains.
