3 ай бұрынToday was a day to learn from it. I was so eager to get this antenna up and didn't want to go back home to get the guy lines, and for sure the day was very short. The transition between seasons the weather can change in minutes. I really liked what I got from this antenna so far and I looking forward to do more testing.
Antenna Dimensions:
Arms: bamboo sticks 6' long(I trimmed about half foot after)
Wire: 18 gauge
Driven(2): 255cm
Reflector: 488cm
Spacer between D/R: 29cm(I used a thin piece of plastic with plastic bolt nuts)
1:1 Balun
The hub can be design many different ways, I always try to keep as light as possible.

Thank you so much! If I will decide to do a permanent setup I wouldn't use bamboo, the weather here in Canada would destroy that. I love to do tests like that. Best 73's my friend!

Very nice. I'm almost finished my 6 band version. Once that's finished I'm going to make a 3 band version for 15/12/10m. As you say all support ropes need to be identical as do the spreader arms so it all constrains up correctly.

What kind of balun did you use for your multiple band hex?

@@VE3DAL I'm going to use ferrite beads and make a sleeve choke.
