Thank you so much nice explanation. Moreover, for finding the value of p1, p2, p4, ...pn, we can also use this method; how it works? It depends upon how many parity bits we have. For example here we have three parity bits p1, p2, p4, if we write them as three binary bit notion since they are three parity bits, we get the below table. For each parity bit we only note down the bit which is 1 vertically and we get the specific value for each parity bit. p4 p2 p1 0 0 0 =0 p1 = (1, 3, 5, 7) or (p1, d3, d5, d7) 0 0 1 =1 p2 = (2, 3, 6, 7) or (p2, d3, d6, d7) 0 1 0 =2 p4 = (4, 5, 6, 7) or (p4, d5, d6, d7) 0 1 1 =3 1 0 0 =4 1 0 1 =5 1 1 0 =6 1 1 1 =7

I also verified with this pattern for above explained example but I found a different in error place as 7 instead of 5.can you please tell me that which order I have to prefer?

@@hitakshigupta7193 The thing is you can use any representation either from left to right or right to left. But once you've selected one representation for generating a hamming code for particular data, stick with the representation. I mean to say, if you generate hamming code for data (say 0011)by left to right representation. Then you should correct the code using left to right only. Try it yourself by changing a bit as an error in a correct hamming code.

Actually, I think we can do this error correction by logic. D3 D5 D7 P1= 1 0 1 1. There is an error here. So either D3 or D5 or D7 must have an error. D3 D6 D7 P2= 1 0 0 1. Here there isn't an error. So the data bits D3, D6, and D7 are errorless. So in P1, the error must be in D5 coz from the above we can see that D6 and D7 are errorless. We can also calculate the error in the data bit by using P4 as follows: D5 D6 D7 P1= 1 1 0 1. There is an error here. So either D5 or D6 or D7 must have an error. From P2 we know that there isn't any error in D6 or D7 so the error bit must be D5.
@piyush93688
@piyush93688 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, and we can also use XOR operation on concerned data bits to get parity values. Like in P1 = 0 1 1 then by XOR we get 1 so there is error. Same applies to others.

@@adnanmohamed6517 Yeah thats true. But the amount of work that needs to be put into such video is 10 times this video. And this video has been helpful for alot of people, and i think it depends on the audience. And if you really want to learn, just go into depths with it yourself. The people making these videos are finding the information on their own, so dont always rely on videos, because if you cant figure anything out yourself, and get everything delivered with these videos, you will not gain anything other than memory, and i think both of us would rather gain skill.
