Wow you are so talented I’ve only ever tried sculpting in metal clay on the kitchen table and that took days but no fancy tools or magnifying not a particle of dust as close to your standards you inspire me to try the real thing one day I love this unique type of jewellery you make it’s amazing 👍

It seems so easy when you do it! But other thing is the real thing! I love your work so much it inspired me to start engraving lessons. For this work did you used pneumatic engraver or is all “by hand”?
@ashcroftjewellery3 жыл бұрын
Pneumatic, it's perfectly possible without, it would just take longer.

Amazing ❤ How are the stones attached? With some special glue? Best regards
@ashcroftjewellery Жыл бұрын

Which shape graver are you using to do the leaf shapes? it looks like a square but I can't see it clearly enough to tell properly
@ashcroftjewellery3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I sharpen them by hand from old burs so I don't have an exact geometry but it's probably close to a 105° with parallel 15° heel and around 50° face.

@@ashcroftjewellery thank you that is very helpful to know. Beautiful work btw

@@ashcroftjewellery I myself have made a few gravers from old burs. I'm almost starting to prefer this method more than buying the quick change blanks.

I dont understand how these diamonds stay at there place?
@ashcroftjewellery3 жыл бұрын
It's called flush setting. Basically a small edge of metal is moved around the whole edge of the stone. It's a very secure and subtle setting technique.

@@ashcroftjewellery i see found the techniek by name indeed thank you, very precise indeed! Amazing!

How long does it take to fully form a piece like this? How much would it cost the customer to commission a piece like this from you?
@ashcroftjewellery4 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry for the slow response. A ring like this would usually take about two days of work. The price depends on a bunch of factors including the finger size width and metal choice etc.. there are prices on my website www.ashcroftjewellery.com let me know if you have any other questions.
