Play them drums more often. If you do, they won't collect enough dust to require a respirator! And it does help to take care of yourself as you get older. Being closer to 70 than I am to 60, I found things getting harder and harder to do. Last fall, when I had to resort to a wood splitter to put up my firewood, I decided that I needed to change my lifestyle. So, I lost 65 pounds, got off all my meds, and took control of my life. I feel much younger, have higher energy, and even started rehanging all of my old axes! Never did that before, but watching you gave me the desire to add a little more of myself to my work. I used to just set an axe aside when the handle had issues. Buying a new one is fun, a man can never have too many axes, but rehanging one yourself puts a little of you into it. It puts life back into an old axe, but puts even more back into an old man! So, Buckin', don't let time creep up on you. Pay attention and remember that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. A man letting himself slide robs so much from his life. Taking care of yourself is a full time job, and if you do it right it can still be fun. Saws and axes are a part of that. I'm here to tell you. Keep up the good work! I love your videos! Carry on.

Some of the nicest wood grain that i have seen on any handle anywhere. Hand rubbed oil to expose the veins of the grains takes away the pains of daily life and gives us an appreciation for the simple detail and creates a true natural work of art.

Buckin Billy Ray could easily sell one million Axes. He knows his wood and the perfect splitting Ax to build. This Ax would be therapy for my torn right shoulder rotor joint. The best? Is watching Buckin throwing an Axe and hitting his target and sticking the Axe in the wood. The Kindness he radiates is fuel for the human race. We have a chance to survive

Great time watching you make that axe Buckin. I spent my life as a cabinetmaker and furniture builder. Often times when you cut your stock up there are fine checks in the the end pieces when you cut your wood up. It is always good to cut six inches off the end of your wood before you get started. You are doing an amazing job on those handles. I am sure proud of your work and the skill you have with a drawknife. They are not an easy tool to master and keep sharp. You are the best axe builder I have ever seen. Love you brother!

Sweet axe! Great job on the handle too. I'm also a big proponent of a sharp axe and always get rid of the speed bump. Don't matter how long it takes either. When I'm done with my axes I can literally shave with em. I usually do the file and folding shop towel routine and finish the edge with whetstones. Can take all frickin day to do one axe head, but the results are well worth the effort. To me anyway lol.✌
