In this video, Adam teaches you the correct hand path in the downswing. There are two important elements when in comes to the golf swing: the hand path and the swing plane. The hand path is created by the traveling of the hands throughout the swing and the swing plane is determined by the angle of the shaft coming through impact.

I've spent a lot of time in my golf life trying to bring the butt end of the club to the ball on my downswing. This video demonstrates how wrong I have been. I'm just like the golfer in this video. Bringing my hands down near my body is uncomfortable and weird, but when I do it correctly the contact is WAY better. Great video Adam.

I rarely ever leave a comment but just wanted to give a HUGE thanks to Adam for all the incredible content he continuously puts out! I was battling a swing change and started watching the channel and can honestly say my swing has never looked/felt better. If you look on youtube for golf improvement in my own opinion nobody is better to learn from then Adam.

I had never been able to hit the the ball so clean and at the same time rotate so freely until I started to implement your swing to my game. I can not thank you enough . I can play now and have fun at the same time. Thank you so much ..

I haven’t connected with any other videos like yours. I don’t know why more people don’t film their students as a way of teaching. It’s tough to copy and relate with an instructor who effortlessly whips out a beautiful swing that has taken years and years of practice and continues to tell you how easy golf is, but to see you work with amateurs and witness them pick it up in real time makes it more real that I can actually fix my pulls and snap hooks. I am absolutely obsessed with golf and just put a sim in my garage. For the first time ever I hit 6 baby draws in a row after watching some of these videos and one of them lipped out of the cup. I’ve got 2 young kids so I have to balance my obsession but I need a coach like you to get to the next level. I’m up in the Inland Empire area in Eastvale but one of these days I’m going to come down there for a lesson with you and it’s going to be magical when you fix my pulls and snap hooks. Please don’t go anywhere Porzak Golf!

This is exactly what I have been drilling after a long time of rolling disconnected arms up to a flat back swing and steepening on the way down. The student is so right about the feeling that you’re gonna have to trust your body to move correctly if your hands have previously been out and throwy.

That very last swing looked the best to me. Very flowy looking with the correct sequence. It looked like a swing you’d see on a scratch golfer. No early extension and his follow through looked effortless

I’ve come to realize that when I get my hands out towards the golf ball, it also promotes early extension and for me that leads to a hook. I love this drill as it helps with both!

I started trying to improve my golf swing in 2018 after playing for almost 30 years with an OTT swing. It’s very difficult to undo all that. I’m afraid I caused my instructor at the time a lot of grief. Unfortunately I had learned lots of compensations that produced more or less straight shots but lacking compression. The pandemic interrupted my journey, then I moved to another state. There are many good teachers on KZfaq and I’ve finally arrived at a point where an in to out swing feels more normal but I have a way to go yet.

My downswing thoughts? Keep the left wrist dead... So I don't spoil my carefully constructed knuckles down backswing by getting wristy again on the way back. Drive hands to my right knee in downswing sounds like a plan. I already adopted the Porzak early wrist set in the backswing with great results.

I’ve experimented with close in hand path and lower handle through impact on many occasions. Always results in clean contact and excellent dispersion. However for some reason I lose a solid 10y of distance off my irons . Not sure if it’s added loft or slower swing speed causing it.

Unreal. But I’ve just been down the rabbit hole of your pitching and wedge videos. Am I correct in thinking this ‘hold the angle’ thought is for full shots only? It seemed to me for the 80 and in wedge play you were teaching less hinge and more back and through, unless you’re in the rough and then you hinge for a bit more angle of attack.

if I'm chunking it while doing this is there an obvious reason why it could be because if I'm not doing this I don't chunk it. and no I'm not steep if anything I would describe my downswing too shallow
@rw_golf6387
@rw_golf6387 Ай бұрын
If you don’t have lag or the proper sequencing you will hit behind the ball if you don’t raise the hands. That is why you are early extending and have high hands at impact. This is what allows you to actually hit reasonable golf shots. Fixing the hand path is just one piece of the puzzle which is why golf is so hard. Good luck.
