86% efficiency on a driver that at that load (80+%) should be at least 90% efficient according to the spec. A bit weird if you ask me. From what I have tested so far Meanwell drivers tend to fit or exceed the spec. I have not tested the XLG line but I might order one because I am now curious.

Got the same one ! Nice board. Would love a video on how to control / dim that light through Home Assistant :) Could it be done by one of the side chain inputs on the dimmer ? Hmm ... NB : BTW it also would be awesome to learn how to link my HA with my extractor fan - EC motor with PWM input.

Hey Sergio, right on. Dimming is usually pretty easy - I do plan to cover it. I like the idea of using one of the jacks on the box to do it on this light. I’m using a mosfet and ESP32 to control my fan speed.

I just picked up the new VIVOSUN VS1000, the VIVOSUN QB option which claims to use the same lm301b diodes with a different driver. I wonder how the efficiency and output compares with this Spiderfarmer or HLG variants. I got my light on a deal at $100 and thought it was too good to pass up.

Seems good though ,all these Chinese made boards have the driver attached ..that's a no no for me ..the heat from the driver has a big affect on temps . Separate driver is the way to go so you can leave it outside grow area.

Our lights has low heat and you can move the driver from the board easily✌

$159 before discount? Look into the hlg100 with the dude grows discount. The hlg destroys this light in every way.

I can get a 240 w samsung 301h with uv and it for 150 better than hlg and spider farmer. Hlg is listed at 150 on its site. Hlg over priced spider farmer over priced

Spider farmer/ Meizhi are crooks! They would not honour their warranty! It may be an ok light, but if you have problems with it...good luck!

I had over 100 diodes burn out after 54 weeks of using the light. They then charged me 80 bucks for shipping! When asked why it was so much for shipping, as their warranty states after the first year I was only to pay for shipping, their response was you paid for the diodes and shipping! That's just bad business!

@@SpiderFarmer I already have contacted you about my light. Now 95% of the diodes are out, as well as 50% of the diodes on my other light are out. Your company's customer service is the worst! You ripped me off on the first batch of diodes,, charging me for the diodes as well as the shipping! You did not honour your warranty! Buyer Beware!

Yeah, used 2 SF-2000 for a year, moving on to HLG.
