I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed that display, flown with panache and sensitivity and variety. Dad, outstanding to see a son being mentored in such a great way. Can't imagine for one moment you were nervous as the boy is brilliant ; I'm sure you are suitably proud. Hooah !

Great rudder control son! Makes me proud to see someone your age flying a raw bird like this. I was one of the few young one's once that knew these things myself, so I can appreciate the rarity of your skills at an early age.

Dean as a young boy at the billets of the transmitter. You can already see what an incredibly talented pilot it would be, he is one of the best RC pilots for me now and it would not be surprising if he became world champion within a few years. My blessing is he. And..... What great that his father has stimulated him so. My compliments for this. Father and son fantastic! Many greetings from the Netherlands.

Haven't seen this before, fantastic plane and piloting. You are one of a lucky guy Pete that your son is following you. My two sons are not interested in this hobby at all. 4 stroke engine suited the model very good. Lovely to watch it. Regards.

The recollected flare on the bounce was exceptional to might I add. I hope you're still flying, because if you are I expect you've become even more exceptional. If that plane is still around, it could benefit from some struts fo sho!

dean was 13 here (already been flying for 5 yrs) and loved flying the warbirds for sure, he certainly is still flying tuff and is recognized or his exceptional flying skills, he is sponsored by several groups and has been flying at major public rc shows in the uk for over 7 yrs now and loves every minute of it, his 20 yr old brother tried flying rc models aged 7 but gave up by 9 as he didn't like it, a pity really as the three of us could have flown together over the years but motorbikes were his preferred poison (as was mine - rode bikes for 35 yrs) its been a privilege to watch dean grow and see is skill level rise over the years,

tbobborap1 Dean, if you were to change the stock muffler would it still sound as good? Or is it the muffler that creates that low pitch whistle. I'm buying the same engine and I want it to sound exactly like yours. Fantastic......

@westexflyer i used an os fs 120 surpass lll pumped turning a ' k ' series master airscrew 16x6 prop - awesome combination - bags of power . easily outperformed a clubmates seafury with an sc 120 !

What muffler was you running on this thing? The sound is exceptional to most 120s I've seen. Mine doesn't sound this good and I have the same engine on the same prop tuned well.

How many RPM would that OS turn the MAS 16x6 prop?

I can't get my OS 120 surpass with a 16x6 to run that good for nothing. Maybe it still needs breaking in but it's not quite where this is! I have it in the exact same plane.

It is actually the tips of the prop approaching the speed of sound. They begin to whine like that from the build up of sonic waves. I am fairly certain that is correct. Need a powerful engine to get this effect. It really does sound great.
