Hannah Watters is a mixed media maker living in Charleston, WV. Her work uses abstract formal elements, patterns, textures, and forms often found in nature to express the complexities of the coal industry in Appalachia. Her work often comes off the wall or takes up floor space, and is often grotesque, because she loves to get a visceral response from the viewer.
