Does it have to be the smart vinyle or will reqular permanent vinyle work? Also do you have to have the vinyle holder for longer cuts?

For long cuts, it has to be done with the Smart Vinyl because regular vinyl is not quite wide enough to work in the machine without a mat. You don't have to use the vinyl roll holder, it just makes it much easier! :)
