FYI Troy, we don’t need insurance tags anymore. It just is a nuisance. People forget to put them on; it’s a waste for the environment; it gives the cops an excuse to pull you over 😂.

Yes, @mone5667 beat me to it! I think about two years ago the province decided to get rid of decals on the license plates. Most police cars have automatic license plate readers so they know automatically if you have valid registration and insurance.

Wait, you guys have to have an insurance tag on your license plates we don’t we just have to have an admission sticker that’s up-to-date the date of when it expires and the year so that brings up a question for all the hellions out there what stickers do you have to have on your license plate for it to be legal?

Nothing in pennsylvania we just pay our registration and it's updated electronically the only stickers we have are our safety and emissions stickers on our front windshield

Canada does. The "sticker" on the license plate is for your auto insurance. Here in WA it's your "license tab" that shows that the licensing on your car is up-to-date. Washington requires front and rear plates, but the month and year sticker only needs to be on the back.
