Rob, you said that the father storyline is pointless? It's character development. She goes the whole movie being rude and ignoring her father's calls, and then when she sees him we can see how much she's changed

i think this movie is definitely one that grows on you once you watch it again! It's a bit of an overload watching it the first time but once you know what to expect & you rewatch it, you really appreciate all the detail put into it to hint to the ending & watch Tree's character development!

John Tombs killed Trees mom. Thats why they did the confrontation shortly after the talk with the father. It was to bring closure to Trees mother trauma. Tombs had a very specific type when it comes to his victims and thats how Tree was so familiar with him. If he killed Tree, or Lori did, everyone would just assume it was Tombs because of his type of victim.
