Amen Gabriel! I am adopted myself. The man that raised me ( age three up till he entered his rest, when I was 27 ) was more of a Dad than my Father who brought me into this world. He never once even if he was upset and turning red in the face; never threw out Step Son or referred to himself as a Stepdad! I was alway his Son. This still pains me all these years later. I turn 63 early next month.

My step father took all five of us like we were his own. My father walked away as if we were dead, to pursue his own life, not saddled with a wife and five children. Some heros don't wear capes.

This one goes out to Frankie, I’ve heard stories and jokes about you for over a decade listening to your father, and I want to tell, not for a second did I think anything bad of you! I appreciate each and every “character” in your father’s stories for they have brought hours of joy and laughter in good times and in bad ones, I’m a proud citizen of Israel that’s is going through the toughest war I’ve personally experienced and these moments of relief means a lot! Praying for peaceful days for the entire world. And a huge thanks to you and your dad! Love Yochai

Always love when you talk about Frankie. I also am a dad to a son that was part of the deal when I married his mom. He is now 26 and just yesterday introduced me to a friend of his. He always tells everyone I am his dad. Of course they know I am not his dad by blood. He is a 6' in shape, Mexican by birth that looks nothing like my 5' 6" Caucasian, blue eyed self. It is always nice to hear him call me dad though.

In my story, my Father assisted in bringing me into this world. My DAD is the one raised me, corrected me and taut me to love the creator of the Heaven’s and the earth. My father never ever sent any money, or paid child support. Not even a letter or birthday card.

I am a dad and my wife remarried I still get my son half the time we split weeks anyway she got remarried and I am his dad but despite court orders she insists on him calling him dad and if he doesn't he gets in trouble sometimes stepdad and son aren't bad titles i know i called myself stepfather to her other kids untill we divorced then i wasn't allowed to have anything to do with them she wanted them to call me dad at the time but they already had a dad who loved them and i didn't mind filling in but i didn't want to try to take his place

My after market son calls me by my given name (I told him to call me whatever he liked when we met) but I'd still live for, fight for and die for my son Jamie.

This is one of the BEST stories you’ve told!!! I love how you and your son, Frankie, shared your Halloween. I’m actually surprised Walmart had any candy on the shelf. 😂😂 I guess your wife now knows what you and Frankie did. Happy Halloween Gabriel and family!

To a fluffy kid....it's always about the hustle of course it's the candy. I always thought i got a raw deal because i went out and got all the chocolate and did the work and my mom when she checked it was "safe" took most of my chocolate...😂😂

I'm adopted too. Not once did my Dad refer to me as his adopted daughter, it was always his daughter. Like my Dad, you one in a million Gabriel! God bless you and Frankie! You're best! If Frankie ever quits loving you, I'll love you! You're a generous man and a kind man..... I like that! ❤️😘😘😘............😘..... especially the kind part! You ARE the king of the Mexicans!!!!!

This part really made me laugh, where "a year later, when Gabriel asks Frankie, that "are You thinking what I was thinking?" Frankie: "WalMart..." That was sooo good, especially because how Gabriel presents that :)

I know we'll probably never hear anymore new stories about frankie and i understand and respect that decision but i hope frankie can look back at some point and realise that gabrial didn’t tell those stories to embarrass him but recognize that there is true love and pride in the sharing. That was one proud papa showing off his son the best way he knew how considering he was acutely aware that because of his career, there would be alot he'd miss out on and in his own way by telling those stories it made him feel perhaps that his family was closer in those moments.

He came to our state fair, unbelievably funny. He did a thing at the end where he has everyone turn on the flashlight on their phone, and said something inspirational. I can't remember what he said, (it was late, and I was kinda high) but it touched me.I will forever be on team Fluffy!

When I married my late wife, she had three kids by her ex-husband. When we got married they were 13, 11, and almost 9. (They are now 47, 45 and almost 43). We don't use the "step" prefix. They are my kids and I am just "Dad" (though they call me by my first name but they introduce me as "Dad".) I cxan't think of it being any other way. They have given me four grandkids ranging in age from 22 to 3 years old.

"You gotta work, especially if you got a good job, you don't want no one to take it, so if you're gonna go for it, give it everything" Very true, a lot of people lose sight of that especially in this day and age, people always want the highest paid job which is a good thought, but here's the thing: I work three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) at a car dealership working minimum wage doing janitorial work, I love the work I do, sure it's a bit tedious/repetative, but it's the only job I got, I don't have another job to fall back on and I got no complaints.
