Har Cheong Gai Prawn Paste Chicken 虾酱鸡 Singapore's Favourite Dish 虾酱鸡食谱
Hey everyone welcome back to g8stromania. Today, we will be sharing a recipe on Prawn paste chicken wings or Har Cheong Gai. This is a super popular dish that is commonly found in Singapore, especially the tze char stalls. One dish that I always order when I see it!
For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
1kg Chicken wings
2 tbsp shrimp paste
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp Shaoxing Wine
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp white pepper powder
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
4 tbsp sweet potato flour
3 tbsp rice flour
0.5 tsp baking soda
1 fresh egg
5 tbsp water
Steps:
1. Marinate chicken wings for at least 4 hours.
2. Mix batter.
3. Add marinated Chicken wings into batter and coat evenly.
4. Fry at medium high heat for 4 mins first side and 3 mins other side.
5. Serve!
