12/22 Carts are now $630.00!!!!

Excellent advice! I use my 34" US General for exactly the same purpose ($550 in 2022). Got the 26" for my daughter & son-in-law for $290 in 2019.

I have a couple of us generals, which I luv! Just bought a husky mobile workbench and am extremely happy with the quality.

i love US General boxes. So much value and cool colors.

I bought a Husky box for $500 four years ago.Now the same box goes for $1,098 now.I am glad I bought my tool storage then.Thank you for the great video!

Just bought two yellow bottom units for $179 a piece. They are closing out the series 2 and bringing in the series 3. The series 2 stuff is crazy cheap right now.

Thank you for the Video. I'm actually looking at picking up my first mechanic's tool box I've been looking at the 27" x 22" roller cabinet and top box. I don't have really any tools I got a little box in my truck but I'm going to be picking up tools to put in it as I go.

I couldnt agree more abiut the us general carts. I have the 5 drawer cart, got it when thwy were $170. The same stule cart from any of the big competitors are well within the $800+ range. And for a cart thats getting rolled around and beat up i couldnt justify the cost. Ive had the ug general cart for over 5 years at my job as my quick access move around storage (in addition to my snap-on main tool box) and i beat thw hell out if it. Still latches. Still works perfectly. And i dont mind drilling a hole to modify it with any kind of add-ons i wanna make.

I have that same lefthand setup that you have, as well as some others. I have here and there some minor complaints, but one unfortunate larger one. Harbor Freight always seems to make their toox boxes with the thin drawers, which I have trouble using. It has meant that I have had to ungroup some of my tools just to try to fit the stuff in the drawers, and I have also ended up with unused shallow drawers, too. That is one, and the only area where Craftsman had them beat. They used to offer the basic boxes with varying drawer arrangements. I wish Harbor Freight did that. I see that you also bring this up...thanks.

I wish I'd gotten a smaller tool box said no one, ever. Back in the 1960s and 70s, job applicants might be turned away for having less than a big, expensive, name brand toolbox full of pricey tools. Not true today, so this is really good advice.

Ok Lou, your argument (in favor of buying now before the price goes up) is a very good point. You also happen to have the one in blue that I am considering. Since I can get $100 off with a Harbor Freight membership I think now is the time to go for it. I would hate to miss out on this price since I have seen most automotive tools, wood products, & car parts go up substantially in price. My wallet will be $500 lighter!

from my experience, harbor freight may have improved their quality but i have a tech 2 cart and the quality is shit.. i use it for a diag cart, works great for it.. but quality.. sucks!! flimsy .. but again for what i use it for .. it works.. you get what you pay for!! my main box is snap on, never had to replace anything on it.. quality.. i have a matco box like the blue cart you have in the video, matco is my 2nd option and ive had to replace the top drawer slides twice already.. for what its worth, im damn tempted to look at a us general version of it.. because i should have never traded my snap on version.. I commend you Lou, great video man.. and explanation of supply/demand and price.. makes a big difference.... btw im speaking as a professional technician.. and cant have shit breaking.. but it does happen!! and i dont knock anyone who gets other brands at all.. its a personal choice.. i keep editing this comment ... 3rd time now.. dude.. thats one thing people like us NEED TO KNOW.. tool value.. box value.. cut it in half .. its horrible!! lol Icon... snap on knock off... hehe

I just wish Harbor Freight would stop raising the prices on the U.S. General stuff. The tool chest that was $450 a couple of years ago is now over $600. All of these videos are going to their heads lol.
