3 of us did this ride in early march 2024 with snow at either side of the road & ice everywhere. It was definitely challenging but really enjoyable. Wish I had filmed it.

As a local, Speed is your friend on these passes. You get used to them and get faster and faster. Stopping is to be avoided. With a decent bit of momentum they're easy peasy

thanks, we are all still learning as my main riding roads are motorways and B roads.

I was riding these passes on a Honda 90 about sixty years back without a problem.

Try riding it on a K1600GTL 350 kg fully loaded with a pillion massive difference.

Its a totally different ride if you have a fully loaded bike and a pilion on the back aswel .Well done guys enjoy and ride safe ignoring the negative comments

thank you, allot of negative comments on here which I won't take to heart as some people are just trolling. I've done the Applecross pass in Scotland before doing the hardknott and this is by far a steeper road. in hindsight I should have left the luggage (and missus) back at the hotel!

It scared the living daylights out of me as you can tell from the crying at the end! Xx

This June 2024 along with five other passes on my super Cub 125 should be fun.

I have been over this pass 1000s of times on my Harley-Davidson"s

Remember people it's harder with a pillion and full gear.

Have you tried THE GLEN QUIACH PASS I made a a video of it , try it out the next time your in Scotland I also believe it is harder than Applecross

I didn’t find Hardknott that difficult, as a rider from down under where there are dirt roads like that the bitumen made it easy, if it was dirt covered in loose rocks it would be a hoot to ride. Big heavy bikes are more of a hindrance than a help when things get knarly, I shipped my old DR 650 to the UK to ride around there and Europe, at 63 I do believe that light is right, British back roads are fun, just stay off motorways. 👍👍👍👍

unfortunately my commute to work is a 100 mile round trip, hence why I'm expanding the type of roads I ride on. It's a great learning curve and any positive feedback is welcome.

If you want a real challenge try riding twice a day to high Wycombe from plumstead in East London through town and all the suicidal delivery drivers and stupid pedestrians!!!! Cool vid tho.

Easy road to ride nothing challenging,i have seen large coaches driving it that is a bit tight but they managed it

These videos can not relate, just how steep the ACTUAL road is in parts here!
@crashdummy29236 ай бұрын
we found that out when we rode it! we were told that this is one of the steepest roads in the UK, why I doubted it I'll never know!

I live about 20 miles away from there....I went over there on a CZ 125, back in '79!@@crashdummy2923

These people make me laugh. There’s lots of videos on KZfaq with em saying how hard it is. It’s really not! Try Devils staircase near Powys. Some of them turns make hard knot look straight. Bunch of soft arse clowns. If you can’t ride it, don’t own it. 😂
