Wrynose Pass. LA20 6EQ. No road ID (note that Hardknott and Wrynose Passes is one complete road slit in the middle by a small bridge)

On my holidays in may 2023 I visit all the passes in the lakes. What a beautiful country and landscape! After your KZfaq Videos my Trip goes in to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales!!

Stunning scenery. I am doing the northern tour from the bikers Briton book in Sep and am looking forward to the lakes.....as long as it stays dry 🤞

Some of those Passes up there are not fun in the wet. Enjoy when you go 🤞 for dry weather. Ride safe 👍🏼

Did this route last year ,stunning. From Keswick, did Whinlatter pass crummock water, Buttermere, honister pass, borrowdale, back to Keswick. Along the a66 to Pooley bridge, down to Haweswater (horrible road) . Back to Pooley Bridge, along Ulswater, Kirkstone pass into Bowness for some food. A long hot day out (28°) but so worth it. Back soon to do some more roads I've never been on , and some I have 👍🙂. Nice video by the way .

Thanks Billy, I’m up in the Lake District at the beginning of June and the Honister Pass is on my list, but I was then going to take a right at Buttermere to head back to Keswick…I’ve just altered the route to take in Crummock Water after seeing this..👌👌

Love riding in the Lake District but they get a lot of rain there, as a young barman pointed out to me and my brother “if we didn’t get all this rain this place would be called the district, it just wouldn’t have the same appeal would it” 😂

It’s Seatoller, not Seatroller! I was there a few days ago. This is actually a bus route too all the way to Buttermere. Fantastic ride.

How far did you travel to get to Lake District and how did you break up the trip there ?

Hi and thanks for watching and your question. I live in Cambridge and travelled straight there. I tend to leave early morning when the roads are quiet for trips like this. For example, I went to Scotland last year and left at 1am, got to Loch Lomond by 10am and then rode until about 3pm before getting to my hotel for the first night, a total of 14 hours in the saddle. I felt surprisingly good by the end of the day but I did that because I know myself. I would not recommend that to anyone, rather assess your own abilities and make a decision from there. If time is on your side then breaking the trip up with a stop over some where is always beneficial. Cheers Billy
