The palace in located at the best possible spot in the historical peninsula that oversees the whole city and has a wonderful panoramic view over the Bosporus. The Harem section of the palace is a large complex inside the palace and needleless to say was the most private section of the whole complex. Hurrem was kidnapped as a young teen girl as her parents and brother were slaughtered… she was sold into sexual slavery to a king twice her age… we glorify her as if she was well To do princess but she was nothing more than a sex slave…it’s a shameful part of Turkish and Muslim history

Even Hinduism (name given by Arabs) was branched from Vadic religion whom the Anglo Europeans followed. Hindu emperors not only fought themselves but fought for more land. Unlike Turkey which was an empire built by native Turks, India on the other hand was united by British as a whole (Pak, Ind, Bang).

They do a next level job of recreating everything on the TV show. It looks so much like this it's nearly breath taking. They spared no expense in bringing that moment in history to life, even if they obviously dramatize a lot for the sake of the show.

Arkadaşımla birlikte 4 saat boyunca sarayı gezdik. Saray kapandığı için içinden çıkmak zorunda kaldık ama gezmemiz gereken yerler bitmemişti. Gerçekten çok büyük bir saray. İçinde görülmesi gereken çok fazla yer var ve her şeye hayran kalıyorsunuz. Saray, tek bir binadan oluşmuyor. 4 bahçesi var. Alan çok geniş;örneğin saray kütüphanesi için bir bina, sultanın mescidi için bir bina, saray mutfağı için bir bina, meclis için bir bina, elçilerin ağırlanması için bir bina yapılmış. Birçok binası var, her şey için ayrı bir bina yapılmış. Saray, ilk olarak Türkler İstanbul'u fethettikten sonra II. Mehmet tarafından Ayasofya'nın hemen arkasına inşa ettirilmiş. Fatih Sultan Mehmet (İstanbul'u fetheden sultan),Yavuz Sultan Selim (Sultan Süleyman'ın babası) , Kanuni Sultan Süleyman gibi Osmanlının en büyük sultanları bu sarayda kalmış. Yaklaşık 400 yıl Osmanlı Devletinin yönetim merkezi ve sultanların evi olmuş. Bu sebeple her gelen sultan yeni bir şeyler eklemiş ve saray sürekli büyümüş. Saray'da kutsal emanetler adı altında peygamberlerin kılıçları, kabe'ye ait oluk, paygamber sakalı gibi şeyler de sergileniyor. Ayrıca sultanlara ve saraya ait değerli pek çok eşya sergileniyor. Dünyanın en çok parçaya sahip müzelerinden birisi Saray'da bulunuyor. Sultanların değerli taşlarla süslenmiş kılıç ve hançerleri, saray saatleri, savaşçıların eşyaları... Ayrıca gerçekten sarayın bahçesi ve denizi gören İstanbul manzarası harika. Umarım isteyen herkes gidip ziyaret edebilir. En büyük korkum, İstanbul'da olması beklenen büyük depremde bu güzel tarihi yerlerin zarar görmesi. Not: Bir yıl sonra yorumuma yeniden dönüyorum. Beğeniler için teşekkür ederim. Ayrıca eklemek istediğim bir şey var. Bu videoda sarayın sadece harem kısmı gösterilmiş. Yanlış hatırlamıyorsam harem sarayın ilk avlusunda bulunuyor. Osmanlı Devleti henüz yıkılmadan önce Dolmahçe Sarayı ve Yıldız Sarayı gibi batılı mimariye daha yakın görünen yeni saraylar yapıldı. Böylece Osmanlı Devleti’nin yönetim merkezi ve sultanların yeni evi de bu saraylar oldu. Topkapı Sarayı ise boşaltıldı. O sarayları da araştırabilirsiniz. 1922 yılında saltanat kaldırıldı, 1924 yılında ise halifelik sonlandırıldı ve Osmanlı hanedanı cumhuriyet rejimini korumak için yurt dışına zorunlu göç ettirildi. Şimdi ise Türkiye’de 1923 yılından beri Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ve arkadaşları tarafından ilan edilmiş cumhuriyet yönetimi var. (M.K.Atatürk: I . Tuvimos que salir de él porque el palacio estaba cerrado, pero los lugares que teníamos que visitar no estaban terminados. Es un palacio realmente grande. Hay tantos lugares para ver en él y admiras todo. El palacio no consta de un solo edificio. hay 4 jardines. El área es muy grande; por ejemplo, se ha construido un edificio para la biblioteca del palacio, un edificio para la mezquita del sultán, un edificio para la cocina del palacio, un edificio para la asamblea, un edificio para la recepción de embajadores. Hay muchos edificios, se ha construido un edificio separado para todo. El palacio fue construido por primera vez por II después de que los turcos conquistaron Estambul. Fue construido por Mehmet justo detrás de Santa Sofía. Los más grandes sultanes del Imperio Otomano, como Fatih Sultan Mehmet (el sultán que conquistó Estambul), Yavuz Sultan Selim (el padre del sultán Suleyman), Kanuni Sultan Suleyman se quedaron en este palacio. Well filmed . Thank you . Incredible building , palace . But it feels eerie , the thought of all those women who lived and died there . Mostly slaves and prisoners to the system . The suffering of young women being groomed into that life of servitude is sad . I’m sure some thrived to a degree , got educated , but thé challenges must have been immense .

Pude apreciarlo porque no se si siempre sea así...o tuvieron la suerte de que no hubiera tanta gente ese día visitandolo. Escuchar los gritos de los niños que estaban ahí de visita me hizo pensar en que si así se oían cuando los hijos de los sultanes eran pequeños...que padre que aunque a los niños tal vez les aburra un poco y se inquieten, haya padres que les hagan apreciar la historia y belleza arquitectónica de las culturas 👏👍

Harem padişaha kadın sunma yeri değildir. Oh it's a dream to visit this place after watching Magnificent century. Sultan Suleiman, hurrem, all the actors! The real palace looks almost similar! The walls will hv so many stories n secrets! All I can think of the amount of murders, love, hate, anger that went on here. Bldg still stands strong. Will def visit one day 🙏🏻

Actually, initially the harem was not at Topkapi, but at Eski Sarai. The sultan was visiting it when he wanted to see his mother and the concubine. After Hurrem gained power, she insisted to be near the sultan when he works, so a pavillion was build for her in Topkapi. The clothes where very different too - harem pants and kaftans, not European dresses. The men had long beards.

@@elizabethruiz4614 actually it's not true those girls weren't being stolen from their family on the contrary they just wanted to be there to be some queens and sultans that run the state. To give an example we have Hürrem Sultan the precious of Magnificent Suleyman she was just a slave and then she became a really significant Sultan in Ottoman history and she even had a great impact in the state affairs and government.

Dunyanın en iyi korunmuş ve e güzel sarayı seçildi.3 kıtaya yayılan ve 600 küsür yıl süren Osmanlı hakimiyetinin uzun yılları bu mütevazı sarayda geçmiştir. Mütevazı diyorum çünkü 3 kıtaya hakim olup avrupanın yada dünyanın hiçbir yerindeki görkemli saraylara kıyas yapılamayacak kadar sade fakat asil duran bir sarıaydır.
