Oh yeah, this is a blacky black guitar! In this video I also give some sounds through my Marshall JVM410H and JetCity JCA22H.

I like it. I think I have to get one. Instead of satin black, I wish the had painted is dark satin gray with the black scratch guard. I just took delivery of my Harley Benton SC Jr. I always wanted something with a single P90. Nice guitar. In pellam blue it looks great.

@@struppmann. No problem take the time you need!! I would like to see more a drop B to see if that guitar handles it well with thicker strings and as this guitar is inspired on Jim root’s guitar so some drop B with good riffs like slipknot would be awsome!

What gauge strings do you think it would take? Very much considering taking a punt but I’d want to use in Drop B.

I play my ST-20 in Drop C with 11ers. For Drop B you should be fine with 13ers.

@@jonw3462 I use 12ers at the moment for Drop A. Could be tighter. Would go for 13er for that. For Drop B it could just be the right thing :)

I bought the same guitar and I have the same grounding issue. When I touch the pickup selector the hum goes away. Do you know how to fix this problem?

I have to open it up and have a look again. May take a few days, I'm on tour this weekend, but I'll let you know :)

@@struppmann. In a comment of another video of this guitar a user wrote that the problem of the hum is caused by the paint of the bridge! The paint is not conductive, so the ground wire to the bridge makes no connection. Sanding of the paint under the bridge should fix the hum problem. Maybe you can confirm this?

Not a bad sounding guitar. You might find that when you change the strings the nuts of the tuners on the front of the headstock need to be tightened and also the screws could probably be tightened too. That might help tuning stability a bit. Nice taste test. How often have you tasted screwdrivers? Lol.

I tried them way too often 😋 Tuning stability is not the problem: once tuned it holds tune really good. But since the tuners are not that precise, it takes some effort to get there. Btw.: Your comment under my last video made me include the taste-test again. Thank you! 😁

You do understand that with active pickups, shielding is not necessary

But the strings still need to be grounded, that is where the noise is coming from.
