Scorpius and Amos agree, and Delphi immediately offers to help. They do successfully retrieve the time turner. They start their preparation to back in time and save Cedric. They intend to get him kicked out of the Triwizard Tournament during the 1st task because it would keep him away from the maze. It fails.

Only in rare cases to theaters actively select people based on their skin color for certain roles. More likely if the director were to decide a person's role based on looks it is when their physical appearance is vital to the part. Such as you wouldn't cast someone who is heavy set or overweight to play a person who is supposed to be emaciated, especially for a tragedy. What the director cares the most about is selecting the right people for the part. Additionally, there are unions for professional theaters that prevent directors from excluding someone from a role when the character's physical attributes are not vital in selecting an actor. In most cases if a person is missing a required physical attribute for a role there is this thing call theater magic (aka make-up, costume, lighting, etc.) that makes it work. Example the munchkins in the Wizard of Oz. When they are not being played by young children, theater magic is applied to adults to make them small. As long as you are understanding of that then you can overlook the racial discrepancy of the Granger-Weasleys and just enjoy the performance.

If you sit far enough away but near enough to the action, you can't see the details of their faces and somehow it's a lot easier to imagine them much more accurately to the original cast because they do actually look eerily like the characters from that distance (all except Hermione)

Don't change the race of existing characters we are familiar with for no reason other than diversity. Type casting is important. I mean, it would not make sense to cast white girl as black panter. Not because she isn't allowed to play him, but because black panthers character IS a black man. Thats how his character was designed. Character design consists of both personality and appearence. Suddenly changing a characters appearence confuses the reader and ruins the story. Nothing to do with racism, just with the fact you don't suddenly change a characters appearence since it loses familiarity to the reader. I mean, does it make sense to you when you read: "Hermione looked in the mirror and stared at her black curly hair for a while." And later in the series you read: "Hermiones long straight blonde hair waved in the wind while she waited for Harry." Its confusing and doesn't make sense. Its the same with changing a name of a character. Unless it makes sense in the story like for example Gollum/Smeagol who has two personalities in the story. Changing a characters appearence isn't only confusing it ruins the immersion of a story. In real life you also don't see people suddenly change apprearance. And even if they do, like transgenders, its taking years of small changes and isnt completely someone else a day later. Random changes in the story or characters and not allowing to let the reader flow into the world and characters of the story is a real immersion killer and ruins the story.

Yea like they have switched Lizzo to Melissa McCarthy from the role of Ursula which it was very unacceptable they were supposed to re-audition for Lizzo to be the main villain as Ursula and also i'm a massive major fan of Lizzo myself if she didn't have a singing career she would've been an absolutely incredible actress in The Little Mermaid like Hailey Bailey did.
