Ravenclaw Tower serves as the common room for students in Ravenclaw house at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is located on the west side of Hogwarts at the top of a spiral staircase, presumably located on the fifth floor, and is a door without a doorknob or keyhole, but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the room, a person must answer a riddle asked by the eagle knocker; if they answer incorrectly, they must wait for someone else who gets it right.
It is a wide, circular room with a midnight blue carpet, arched windows hung with blue and bronze silks, and a domed ceiling painted with stars. During the day, Ravenclaw students have an excellent view of the school grounds, including the lake, Forbidden Forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens and the surrounding mountains. The room is furnished with tables, chairs, and bookcases; and by the door leading up to the dormitories stands a tall statue of Rowena Ravenclaw made of white marble.
Ravenclaw Tower is gorgeous, peaceful and very romantic, in my opinion. The sound of wind whistling around the windows of the tower is relaxing while going to sleep, and all the books keep your mind agile and your curiosities satisfied. But why is the Grey Lady looking so sad when she glides gracefully over the room? Why is the heavenly chorale comforting yet somber? Intelligent Ravenclaws, you have such bright future. Are you ready to join the rest of school and face the grave danger that is glooming over Hogwarts?

Isabella Higuera The riddles are designed for 1st year ravenclaws. Older wizards from other houses SHOULD be able to answer where the vanished objects disappear without problem. Also - the question is very muggle like - why would a wizard know how to non-magically cutt diamonds? All they know is it's shiiiinnnyyyy x'P Slytherin and Gryffindor are the only houses with REAL protection. Hufflepufs are so friendly they'd welcome everyone that's why the knocking pattern and if you want and CAN solve a certain level riddles and you DO want to hang out with them you would be welcome in ravenclaw common room :3 (same as electrotechnical faculty of a university would welcome an electro technician with a cool invention even though his official education is below theirs and he doesn't REALLY fit in they'd still get excited. (and someone would probably try to steal the invention - you really can't be succesful without a little slytherin (or maybe enormous luck))

we don't really need to get the riddle right to be a ravenclaw, as luna said, if we got wrong, then we have to wait until somebody get it right, in that way we learn. A true ravenclaw is defined by his thirst for learning, not a competition to open the common room door

Would it be too much to ask for perhaps a Ravenclaw dormitory video? Quiet creaks of dorm mates, the rustling of parchment from a late-night study session, gentler winds lulling you to sleep? Sort of a toned-down ambiance compared to the common room itself, I think, would be quite nice. I apologize if you don't take requests, I just figured it was worth a shot.

1:39 to 2:48 is possibly the most beautiful, calming and serene moment of ASMR I've ever experienced. The distant, beautiful singing that floats through the corridors and hallways of the school, the cool and sobering breeze from outside, the sun setting below the hills and leaving the sky a light yellow and gold. It perfectly captures a feeling of bittersweetness and timelessness, like what it would be like to be in your fifth or sixth year at Hogwarts and looking out from the tower and realising soon all of this will be gone.

Okay, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw have the best common rooms. Hufflepuff's is so inviting and cozy, while Raveclaw's is relaxing and soothing. I'm a Slytherin and I wish my house had such a nice common room.

Same here! I am a Slytherin. I love the Hufflepuff common room lot. So inviting. Bright and comfy. Really pretty. And the Ravenclaw one is cool. I love the view outside the window and those pastel blue curtains. I do love Slytherin's too. Especially the fire and water ambience. Ooh and the leather couch is to die for!

honestly the slytherin common room is so beautiful. so grand and elegant but yet so calming and relaxing. it has this mysterious factor in it and that is what makes it so attractive. plus you guys have mermaids like hold up MERMAIDS

It's just too bad the movies, (besides the first two) didn't treat him with the same reverence afforded to McGonagall. If they wanted to create the choir teacher to give him something to do when Flitwick wasn't in the movies, fine. Merging two characters and having Flitwick teach choir full time was a serious misstep and showed a lack of respect for his character.

Actually there are places just like this. An entire Hogwarts in fact. Get on Second Life (free downloadable online pc game), and search for the place called "Mischief Managed". It is open to public only on Mondays, PST. Explore the entire Hogwarts this way.

Saruman would be in Slytherin - not for what he became, but even just for his noted Voice. That ability to get into someone else's head and slyly get them to your side is a very Slytherin trait. Dwarves would totally be in Gryffindor though, even if they'd prefer the dungeons over a tower.

I'm a Gryffindor and I love the cosy sounds of our common room, but I really like this one as well! It's a bit ... cooler maybe, and it really helps me to empty my mind. I could totally imagine sitting on that desk by the window, overlooking the grounds while studying, with those singing voices in the background ... motivation at its best! Thank you! :)

Normally I get distracted when it comes to white noise, music, or the ticking of a clock. But I listened to this while I was studying for a lab and I felt so relaxed that I started finding the answers I had spent too much time looking for. This is a lovely video to use while studying. It's so calming.

I'm so thrilled to have found your channel. The little rooms and ambient sounds are deliciously comforting to me. Have you thought about doing something from Tim Burton? I love the street scene in the beginning of "The Corpse Bride," with the horse-drawn carriages, the fish monger cleaning his wares and the man methodically sweeping his broom back and forth. There are a lot of rich sounds to draw off of throughout that movie. I also love the idea of being snug and cozy inside while a storm rages outdoors: thunder, rain, lightning, a fire going, turning pages in my book, listening to something bubbling on the stove, maybe pouring myself a cup of tea now and then. Love what you're doing!

I'm currently taking my grad school's versions of the Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests (N.E.W.T.s) and, as a dedicated Ravenclaw, this video has been invaluable to me!! Being in the Ravenclaw Common Room makes studying so much more tolerable! Thank you for your incredible videos!

I used to be Gryffindor because I thought it was the coolest, then when I became an adult I switched too Ravenclaw because I valued intelligence the most! Did not know Ravenclaw had the best common room, in the tallest tower of Hogwarts with the nicest view! Amazing added bonus! Not to mention I always thought Luna Lovegood was beautiful! hahaha ❤️

The very beginning bit with the singing is just so bittersweet and sad. You would be looking out that window and thinking about how magical that place is and eventually you’ll have to leave and you could only go back to be a teacher. Hogwarts is the silver lining in the cloud, it’s the best chocolate in a bag full of them. It’s so ethereal and incandescent. It is the place of dreams. Standing at the tower is like being on the precipice of nostalgia and comfort.

That singing fills your belly with fire but also with a sense of loss. You’re only ever holding on tightly to a tether that you will eventually be torn from. You will be thrown out to the fire and you will have to be the water.

Those vocals remind me so much of my childhood, when I was sitting on a stair in a back staircase, waiting for an after school class while the singing from the choir practice rang through the corridors. So peaceful.
