I am concerned about the plagiarism in the Claudine Gay case, but I suspect that there is more plagiarism than people may think. The problem with Claudine Gay's appointment as a professor at Harvard on a salary of $900,000 per year and was then appointed as the President, is that she nothing like the academic record anyone else appointed to those positions would require. As noted, she has only published 11 articles, none original work, never written a book or chapter in a collective work. I know someone who was recently appointed as a Professor of Surgery. Prior to his appointment he has been the sole, leading or co-author of around 230 papers. He has written two books and several chapters in the 'standard texts' in his surgical specialty. That would be the typical profile of the sort of person previously appointed to Professorships at Harvard. Gay's appointment was an absolute travesty of 'natural justice' from the start.

Bill Ackerman is on X conducting a systematic search of the published works of suspect academics. Michael Schermer is conducting a similar exposé of the appallingly bad science behind the claims of the "trans" swindle. We expected the establishment to do these sorts of checks, without realising that administrative staff are not bright enough to tell the difference between propaganda and sound scholarship. It's the cult of managerialism. 'Manager' is another term for administrator, yet they are assuming they are leaders. Management is not leadership - the two conflict. Only once in an administrative position, the manager is expected to be able to understand the difference between good and bad products and services. This requires discernment and expertise. The police have "bought" advice in "trans" ideology, and the University personnel department have bought "DEI" services from activists. The personnel (or HR) staff have completed an undergraduate degree with "studies" in the title and can't get a job except admin in an HR department. So they promote the wisdom handed down to them at Uni using DEI buzzwords and pretty soon the whole organisation is using those words to look "with it" with "the kids".

The real problem is the intellectually bankruptcy. Gay showed it in abundance. As president of Harvard she was supposed to be one of the sharpest tools in the box. But taken out of her sheltered woke academic environment and challenged in Congress, it became abundantly clear that she couldn't reason her way out of a wet paper bag. You can bet she's not the only one.

In other words ‘Academic Integrity’ can be defined as substantially a contradiction in terms, as with mainstream Journalism or Politics. Virtue signalling with all the ham acting gestures & like physical posturing is the norm for Politicians today thus radical rejection of Democratic representation. Much of so called ‘ Religious Conviction’ the same. Indeed in many contexts, geographical especially it has become synonymous with virulent psychopathic Hatred whereas at least for ‘Big Business’,Politicians & Academics the motivation is primarily Greed-often a subset of Arrogance , it must be said. The utter stupidity of it all is beyond Belief given none of the participants have any answer to or defence to Mortality. Unbelief is no Insurance against Consequence. Everything about the Cosmos indicates Transience& Eternity as characteristic. Consciousness not an exception. What is the case IS the case irrespective individual Belief or Not. Thus if GOD is the case the utter stupidity of Wicked ness for short term ‘gain’ is glaringly obvious. “ I have set before you Life& Death : therefore choose Life” Nope we will choose Death: preferably in the(unavoidable!) short term the Death - one way or another- of Others…. Yet Eternal Consciousness beckons. Enjoy!??

Why is a Harvard education still worth $80k/yr? They used to only accept the best and brightest applicants, now it depends on your skin color and beliefs. They used to be taught by the best, now it is based on your political view. They used to be held to the highest standards, now failings are excused. A school with the reputation for turning out the best and brightest, a reputation took almost 400 yrs to achieve, has been destroyed in just a handful.

DEI is a religion, she was merely faithfully professing the thoughts of her gurus. This is honestly how they view this. The holy words are handed like sacred text from master to apprentice. The problem with DEI is that it doesn't stand in the face of rational critique. Peter did a great job at highlighting how bad things have gotten but I'm afraid it is far worse than that. What he said BARELY scratches the surface of the problem. A few statistics will reveal that this(DEI/affirmative action) may be one of the biggest scandals in US history. I recently did a deep dive into the subject more specifically as it relates to IQ testing. It turns out the IQ gap for African Americans has remained static for the last 50 years. This likely means whatever environmental effects may have had on AA IQ historically were completely bridged by the 1970s. The gap is around 15 points(give or take a point or two in the most generous of cases) and the distribution of IQ among AA has a standard deviation of about 12 - 13 while that of whites is 14.5 - 15. The fact that this is the current state of things is irrefutable to everyone but a handful of crackpots. What some people like to argue is that this difference is mostly due to the environment though the evidence runs contrary to this narrative and points to it being 70 - 80% genetic. However this is neither here nor there, as it stands the gap is real and it is 15 points. Of course you could argue that we need to do more to change the environmental conditions but the reality is that everything but the kitchen sink has been thrown at this(trillions of dollars) without change hence why they are now resorting to ever more racist and oppressive policies in order to bring about their desired equality of outcome. If we were to take the gap and respective standard deviations and crunch some numbers we arrive at the following conclusions. In theory the smartest AA in the US should have an IQ that does not exceed 158. Of course there is a small chance it could be higher but the most likely scenario is that it is around 158(the probability halves at 160, 1/3rd at 161 and so on and so forth such that by 170 the probability is something like 0.7%). This means that as a per capita there are around 2300 white Americans that are smarter than the smartest AA and when we factor in their respective population numbers that ratio rises to 12,800 to 1. What this essentially means is that if there was a job that hired solely on IQ and the requirement was an IQ of at least 158 there would be 12,800 eligible whites and only 1 eligible black person. Mind you I am using a SD of 13, if I use a SD of 12 the smartest AA has an IQ of 151 not 158 and the ratio would be 78,000 to 1. If it isn't clear by now how ridiculous things have gotten with DEI vs how things aught to be if we operated on a purely meritocratic basis the following example will break it down further to you. The US military uses a form of IQ test for their recruits and up until recently had no qualms about rejecting people or rank ordering them based on these tests. Of course being a military officer isn't only about being intelligent however you will find a strong positive correlation with rank and IQ. In fact officers considered for flag rank(generals) are almost entirely ones that scored in the 93rd to 99th+ percentile(delineated as Category I and is, or rather was a policy of the military until recent DEI hires) which translates to an IQ of 123 or higher. The ratio of white people to AA that would qualify is 168 to 1 for the bare minimum rank of brigadier general. The US army currently has 270 generals. Based on this information the maximum amount of AA generals in the US army should not exceed 1.6(rounded up to 2 and both likely one stars) if the system was purely meritocratic. Unless of course you want to argue that AA are superior to whites in non-IQ related metrics such as leadership and bravery but since the military itself screens for IQ in their selection setting an entry threshold of 123 that point is moot and also very racist as it lacks any evidence whatsoever. Currently in the US army there are 19 one star, 15 two star, 8 three stars and 1 four star African American generals. This is 9.5 times above expectation for one star generals and orders of magnitude greater than that for all the other generals. The odds get increasingly astronomical once we get to two three let alone four star generals. OBVIOUSLY this is entirely due to affirmative action and DEI essentially promoting in great excess certain groups in positions of authority in an entirely unmeritocratic way. If the system was purely meritocratic the sad reality is that the highest positions in academia, STEM, judges, etc would be filled almost exclusively by Whites(including a disproportionate amount of Jews) and Asians. I say this with a heavy heart but unfortunately this is what the facts reveal. PS: AA account for 16% of US army generals which is 4 percentage points above their representation in the US population so IQ aside they are 25% over-represented. When we factor in IQ they are 2600% over-represented. When we also factor in rank the over-representation is astronomical.

@@beckinfidelis3916 I had a sense of the exponential nature of the stark disparity as we move up the IQ scale but i was completely shocked when i crunched the numbers and found out how mind bogglingly massive the ratio is. It is quite likely that the higher prevalence of racism aside, the system was most meritocratic in the 1960s in the US just before affirmative action took a major effect(passed into law in the mid 1960s). Already by 1979 there was the first AA four star general which should be a near statistical impossibility. Couldn’t find any data on this but i think it is a safe assumption that a four star general has a minimum IQ of 130. After all these people are meant to be among the best strategists/leaders the military has to offer. The ratio of white to AA who could qualify is 377 to 1. There is about a 6% chance a one star general eventually makes it to 4 stars. Given 15 Army four star generals at any one time there is a 4% chance an AA three star general gets advanced based on IQ ratios. Couple those two together we get a 1 in 270 chance for an AA brigadier general to make it to 4 stars. However the average general term is 3 years which means we have to wait that long for a position to open. Therefore we should expect to see an AA 4 star army general once every 810 years. Currently there are three AA four star army generals and three more serving in other branches including an AA air force general serving at the military’s highest position(chief of staff). The numbers I gave previously with only one four star general were from 2020, it seems DEI is progressing apace with 3 serving at this moment in the army and 6 in the whole US military. This likely also means that there are more AA 1, 2, and 3 star generals than previously reported making it all even more ludicrous. The odds of having 3 AA four star generals serving at this moment in the US army are 1 in 19.7 million. PS: To add some validity to my assumption for a minimum 130 IQ for four star generals I worked out what IQ a 1 star general should have if IQ was the only metric in the military. Given 1.4 million strong US military and a total of 650 generals this gives us a rarity of 1 in 2,154 which implies a minimum IQ of 150. The four star rarity given 44 four stars at any one time implies an IQ of 160. Of course we get an IQ depression because it is not the only metric for selecting generals. If we do a simple calculation to find x (x/123=160/150) we find that it should be 131.2(given the minimum IQ for one star generals is set at 123 as a policy). So it seems my estimation was quite close, if anything a tad conservative.

The answer was that they had all grading done by final exam. The grader was anonymous to the students and knew nothing about the student whos exam he was grading. If that is still true then Oxbridge may be protected. I think that would be a good policy for our schools also.
