I love these videos. Possibly the best comfort viewing while I'm gardening or cooking. I like to listen to your channel on a playlist as I'm outside. I love the natural way you discover gardening the way the rest of us do, how you impart your knowledge generously and sincerely, and how you set up your shots. This is aesthetic gardening cinematography!! I second the comment about pepper clipping. Never underestimate the value of ASMR ❤️ love from zone 3b!

Regarding the squash bugs, a little trick to try…in the morning, water around the stem. They tend to hang out there and they don’t like water. So they will all come crawling out and you can grab them!! Good luck!

You are doing exceptional well 😊 I never thought of sizzling the eggs off leaves..I would usual cut the leaf off and drop it into the soapy water... But have gas lighter ( Australian) will travel from now on..😅 I too live in suburbia, the only thing i worry about re: my neighbours, is my compositing..but I haven't had any complaints yet, we'll see now we are coming into spring... 😬

I am renting an 8x4 plot from our local pantry, and im harvesting some nice lettuce, spinach, raddish, and cilantro. Hoping to get beds set up so i can grow at home next yr. Would love chickens next yr too. My question is....when your done blanching your harvest, do you use any of that water back into your garden? Thanks and cheers from the Navajo Nation.

I guess it sounds weird but , what do your squash bugs look like? My gardens have been invaded by bright green roundish , soft bodied beetles and their mates are smaller, (could be males), with a cream coloured line going all the way round it. Their young are tiny black and their main escape route is to drop to the ground. They have decimated my peas, destroyed my flowers....they seem to be eating the flower buds and laying their eggs in them. The eggs are cream in colour and are in 3 rows tight together. They are everywhere! I pick them off too!
