Additionally, Hasan being so pro or at least neutral to Hamas makes it to where even if he read the fine line and saw where the money went, he would still set up a donation.

A large margin of American humanitarian efforts would not be necessary if the state didn't engage in pretty extreme economic exploitation and government overthrows. It's not humanitarian if we are just barely cleaning up after our own messes. It really sucks because every disaster will show you how extremely charitable the average citizen is. Americans are incredibly humanitarian, the nation itself is not.
