We are seeing quite a lot of people having problems with the Hatfield 41o pump including the problem you have with it improperly cycling the rounds. 2 years ago I was VERY lucky to walk in walmarts and see the Mossberg 500 .410 pump for 258.00 I immediately hit the buzzer to get help back to the gun counter, get the gun out of the case, and start the back ground check so I could buy the gun. but now my dad also wants a .410 pump and and when we went to Mossberg's website, our jaw dropped when we seen what looks like they are now charging around 500.00 for that shotgun! So a guy at my dad's work looked up 410 shotguns on Rural King (RK Guns) and found the Hatfield 410 for 219.00 and because of all the problems we're seeing with this gun, we're a bit leery to buy it

I have a Hatfield PAS 12 gauge security 18.5'' barrel. When I brought it home, I oiled it and took it out to Shoot it. The action was a little stiff at first, I had to really shuck the action hard and It failed to feed 2 times the first 8 rounds but after that it was good. I shot 100 rounds total that day. Then I Stripped it down and cleaned it. I removed some gunk from under feeding latch, and other crevices It was filthy. Then I polished all the internal parts. It has functioned perfect since then. I went to Hatfield's website and bought a wooden stock to give it a little more weight for a better balance and to ease up recoil. I added a mag extension making it 6+1 and added a polymer heat shield. It's a good Budget shotgun for the price with all the upgrades and time I put into it. I did a 300 round burn down with it and it didn't skip a beat. I have around 1500 rounds through it now with only the 2 misfeeds from the first day. It has been reliable since then. I'd say it's a pretty good shotgun.

Good to see a video from you again. It is a shame that something that obvious would not be found at the factory. That means they don't even cycle it after they assemble it. Dang. Hope their customer service is decent. Hope to see you more. Thanks

I ordered one and its got a different issue. When trying to chamber a round it will often load two shells at once. The final straw for me was when the 7th shell i put in it jammed and fired with the action open.

Just got mine yesterday and guess what? It's doing the same thing. Very frustrating. Now I've got to send mine back. Debating as to whether or not to just get my money back and find another 410 manufacturer with better quality control. It should never have left the factory without fully testing it.

Same exact problem with my brand new Hatfield 4-10. Sent it back to manufacturer and just got it back. First 2 shots missed fired. But the third try it fired. Hope that doesn't happen again if I have to defend myself in my home.

I just bought one and I'm having the same problem and my son was looking at it and pointed out the barrel looks to be bent downward.

Nice to see a video again! Is that a crack on the right side of the stock where it meets the receiver and is the stock higher than the receiver? Doesn't look like they match up right. Have been thinking of buying a set(.410, 20g and 12g) from them but haven't heard of many reviews.

Why did you buy it in the first place. I would never buy a gun called a Hatfield

I think it holds 5 in the tube with 2¾ inch shells
