My Father's Day gifts haul from my wife, daughter and son included Rolling Stones Skechers sneakers, Rolling Stones VIP Gift Box, Wicker Man book, Frightfest Guide to Ghost Movies and the two most recent Ian Hunter solo albums.

And see if you can rush order some heavy duty sunburn remedies, even if they don’t have The Stones logo on them.

Congratulations, Alan, for these tremendous gifts, and thank you for sharing. The Sketchers shoes are great, your son's, too. I didn't know about the VIP Box, wow! Now that's a special and unique gift. You are one lucky guy. By the way, I got Ian Hunter's Defiance Part 1 last year, really like it, haven't gotten Part 2 yet, but it's on my list. Again, thank you for sharing all these great gifts you got for Father's Day, very happy for you.

Both Ian Hunter albums are Great!! He is still rocking ..Quality musicians back the Maestro as well. I certainly could not.have waited a year to hear Defiance 1 😮

Yea - I'm a big fan, but I have so much stuff, so much backlog - I did it. Bed Of Roses grabbed me instantly - so amazing - a true classic. In a perfect world, radio would be all over that one.

Nice gifts, nice video.,nice family. When I was a young g kid my family went to the theater to see 13 Ghosts movie. It scared me then and so that is one genre I have always avoided. I hope you wear those sneakers, at least to your next Stones show.!Looks like they sell lots of options.

Thanks for introducing this cool stuff. Can't decide myself what I like best ;-) . Have seen the shoes several times as social media advertisements but wasnt sure how serious these offers are. But shoes (white ones) are looking great. And as well the Stones gift box is really great. Didn't even know that something like this exists, but due to your presentation I have found it in the internet, too. Another great thanks goes out to you for recommending the Ian Hunter CDs. Since there are only a few real well sorted record stores in Germany and probably in the whole wide world (what a phrase...lol) you don't see such treasures necessarily in stores but only at online distributors, like e.g. at the big and mighty A 😉 . Just checked, it's available and received excellent reviews throughout. I am an Ian Hunter fan as well since I have seen him live on TV in 1980 (not quite sure about the exact year or date, but at that time he had just released his live album "Welcome To The Club") at a former famous german tv/radio show called "Rockpalast" that had been broadcasted europe- or even world-wide. The Who, Little Feat, Grateful Dead, ZZ Top, Black Uhuru, Rory Gallager, Steve Miller Band amongst many others have played in this legendary show which always took place twice a year, spring and fall (I think April and October, later a third summer show at the Loreley amphitheatre at the river Rhine) . Thanks so much - about Christopher Lee - really - I don't remember ever hearing that. That's amazing. I guess then he was banking on points on the backend and with that films lack of distribution / commercial success - not a good move. Wow.

Alan, I have three adult children, four grandkids and two great grandkids. I got a kiss from my wife and a phone call from my daughter. That was my haul for dad's day, The haul you acquired is impressive I have not kept up with Ian Hunter and I'm guessing I should. I own his first two solo discs, but that's as far as I went. Love those Stones Sneakers, They are fly, Gotta track down a set myself.. I am about 75% of the way through an audiobook about Brian Jones. Sure changes your opinions of Mick and Keith. They treated him horribly. He was the creative engine of that band. I feel sorry for Brian as he obviously struggled with depression and anxiety (as I do) but received no respect from the glimmer twins. anyway, glad your kids gave you some serious props. You seem like a great dad ! Hey, you gonna weigh in about the Trower 50th anniversary of Bridge Of Sighs box ? What about the terrific new Black Country Communion "5" record ? They are both major musical events this year, to me.

Thanks so much - sounds like your family is more spread out. Mine is still pretty local, so easier. Always two sides to every story...well I guess three. Very well documented that Brian Jones had so many issues, and was not exactly a nice person. Certainly by the end his musical talents were a shadow of what they once were and there's no way he could've played with the Stones anymore as their 2nd guitarist. As one example check him out in the Rock n Roll Circus or One Plus One movies - he's like a ghost. I've tried BCC and bought their first 3 albums. I liked them but were just ok for me. Personal taste. I eventually traded them in. I love Bridge of Sighs but even though that box looks incredible, I need to slow down, I can't get through my massive backlog as it is. I have to be more selective for awhile. Though it's really not working...lol.

@@TheAlanRosenbergShow Ok. I'm a sucker for both Hughes And Bonamassa, so BCC is a no brainer for me. I think they've only gotten better as they've progressed. I have ordered the Trower box, but everyone has it back-ordered, so it's apparently more popular than anticipated. Can't wait for mine ! Yeah, my kids are in Oregon and Alaska (where I'm from) and I'm in Texas, so you have that correct. Brian Jones was an asshat, which, I think directly resulted from his insecurity and lack of confidence. But there is no question he was the most gifted of the quintet. I thought about the 1 + 1 film which the book says is a "unqualified mess". But The Stones themselves are nothing if not a "mess", aren't they ? I'll look for it. Keep the reviews coming.

I don't think you read the second response I left on the provocative albums video. I predicted a major haul......They came through big time. I have the Ian Hunter CD's. They are great. The books look interesting. The shoes are great. I have been wanting to get them. I wouldn't want to get them dirty😂. I'm glad you got one of the VIP boxes. I'm not selling mine 😂. You have got to do a video when your face starts peeling. That sunburn needs some aloe vera.....fast😮

I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on the Ian Hunter albums. I like those albums quite a bit, but Hunter says there will be a third, and I frankly wish he would get back together with the Rant Band. I think the music he made with that group is superior overall to the two most recent albums, as good as they are. Nonetheless, any Ian Hunter is welcome, and I'll listen to anything he puts out.

Happy Father's Day Alan! Nice that you got such great items...I usually have no use for "VIP" stuff that comes with exorbitantly priced tickets--but that box seems to have some cool items, especially the flask! Btw, were you by chance putting up roof shingles?

It doesn't say. But their Stones line is clearly limited. They certainly will be available for a certain amount of time. No idea how long. Got it as a gift.
