What will we catch in our Lobster pots? We love working a small number of lobster pots from our small family boat. Such a wonderful and rewarding experience that often brings delicious rewards. Hauling our lobster traps by hand makes it all the more rewarding when you catch something to eat. Join me and me son as we check our pots and talk you through the things we catch. Teaching the next generation of fishermen about the marine world and how to care for it - Including conservation regulations that are in place in Cornwall UK.
This video is in memory of my Uncle Dave "Scally" Locker. An amazing man, fisherman and friend. Who was instrumental in encouraging my love for fishing and the sea from a young age.
Don't forget to check out our sister channel ‪@thefishlockerworkshop‬ for helpful reviews and videos.

Have a question for you: Recently I have been catching a few fish, caught a nice eating size sea bass from shore (52cm) and when gutting it I found a parasite. Its not the first time this happened to me, caught a ton of Mackerel and every one of them also completely filled with worms. How do you deal with this? I decided not to eat sushi that day...

That little man, his interest in nature , understanding of conservation and overall appreciation of the world around him is such a refreshing thing to see. Don't let him read the next bit hahaha...Knowing his love of our Jurassic age, next time you drop the pots you should add a little Easter egg for him. Stick a Plastic Ichthyosaur in a pot before you set them and take him out to collect them. The look on his face as you haul in an ocean going Dinosaur would be totally PRICELESS. Great vid again mate. always a pleasure to drop in and watch your content. Plus that Lobster.....no words other than BEAST 🙂
