I've been watching you for a while now, I did message you about the shore caught bass record you still have. But forget about that, you do what's right and it's great to watch, educating the kids on the rules of what they catch and what to do moving forward , I'll be a life long supporter guaranteed, you a a teacher/fisherman of the sea and anyone who is new to this should watch you no matter what, can't wait for the next video, have a great weekend

John, A big ask, but as I've only had my Orkney boat a little over a year I'm taking it down to Weymouth with the kids in August, looking at the Navionics charts where would you start to look in that area for good fishing spots? Or if any of your viewers have more local knowledge, where would they suggest I go for a few good fish? Thank you for any useful advice!
@TheFishLockerКүн бұрын
I’d look to join some local fb groups and make friends first and foremost, you cannot beat local knowledge. Secondly, what is your level of experience? The waters around Portland can be pretty tricky and the tides very strong.
@gusholliday819817 сағат бұрын
@TheFishLocker thanks John, I have sailed around there with my dad a few times, so am aware of those big tidal streams but you're right it pays to be very cautious down there. Thank you John

Cracking wrasse there mate. I keep a marine aquarium, mostly corals but my favourite fish is my femininus wrasse. Its a stunner, blue, purple, orange, yellow and probably more colours. My favourite species for aquariums, they're so colourful

That's the kinda thing I'd be eating without anything else. I love doing that with certain meats/fish. Not only do I feel like it lets the true beauty of the flavour shine through, I also feel like I'm respecting the creature too. I gotta say, when I eat rare steak alone with a beer beverage and two knives I feel like a medieval king back from a long drawn out battle 😂

Hey great video first of all 👍 don’t want to be extra smart on you because I don’t know much about shark fishing but I know that for example in Norway people tend to use inline rods so the line can’t tangle around the rings. Ever thought about it ? 😉
@TheFishLockerКүн бұрын
Inline rods do have that benefit, but there are other drawbacks to them. Sadly there isn’t one that does it all. Good comment though. 👍🏻
