Say Yes To The Dress has become a favorite of mine to react to on this channel, it's some of the most wholesome moments I have when reacting to fashion! This episode was particularly lovely, because both brides picked such wonderful wedding dresses, and there really wasn't much to not love! One might have been undecided, and with such gorgeous gowns, I could see why, and the other was so stunning, I was actually speechless, which as you probably all know is new for me. Overall, I was so pleased with these episodes and couldn't be happier for both blushing brides!!

The first women should pick something she wants and feels comfortable in, but after every sentence it’s “Calum this, Calum that” like honey he isn’t the one wearing it, if he loves you he will love you in it no matter what

Yeah, she was all like, 'I'm a nightmare, I'm going to throw a fit if I don't get my own way!' and then she was totally soft. I don't get a great vibe from her whole thing. Who's been telling her that she's got such a bad temper, and why does she care so much what Callum thinks about her dress? Like, above every other consideration? I don't think my friends who've got married asked once whether their fiance would like it. It's a bit weird.

ikr, he won't be the one wearing it.. lol I've given up on wanting to get married being eastern european and gay, the far right is literally plotting to constitutionally ban equal marriage here for the foreseeable future before legalizing it was ever even on the table. so no offence, seeing these straight people sob at their privileged decision and in most countries exclusively theirs human right to get married, which they take for granted really does hit different. I get that it's overwhelming but it's just kind of bitterly comical to me. I guess I can at least relate to the weight and body image issues..

That fucking sucks, I don't get how anyone thinks it's their business when consenting adults want to get married. I wish you could come here to the UK, but we decided to be twats to Europe so I don't even know how that's going to work anymore. Honestly, we're on a losing tip with bloody right-wing populists ourselves here, too. I despair of human nature sometimes. I hope you can find happiness and peace eventually.

Deciding to help myself and push myself was the best choice i ever made. learning to love yourself is difficult, it’s sad that we arent be confident and loving of our bodies but that doesn’t mean we can’t. Honestly I feel bad for the first bride and absolutely understand it, the experience of trying on garment after garment and not feeling beautiful in any of them is super hard and from my experience can make you question so much about yourself and your life and it’s a very hard thing and feeling to experience and go through, I can’t imagine how much harder it would be when looking for a wedding dress since we put a lot of weight and emotion on it. Could be just me since I am incredibly insecure about my looks and body but I think it’s probably quite a common thing

Particularly as a tall broad shouldered girl. We so often feel too big to be feminine and not that comfortable in our own skin as a result. Even if you’re not overweight when your frame is much larger than the mannequins in the shop, the models in the magazines etc adjusting your own expectations of how you can look beautiful can be hard. It’s because society has been telling you that women that are smaller than you are what’s beautiful your whole life.

@@madinp1177 I’m a smaller girl myself but I think society’s standards are just impossible to achieve, it doesn’t matter what you look like, there’ll always be something “wrong” with the way you look, it’s honestly awful... anyways, I’m sorry you feel this way about your body, I’m sure you’re a beautiful person and hope you can get to a better, more secure space of mind about yourself

Y’gotta love when the editing and title of the show is incongruent with the actual content. Like, the mom, the friends, the store clerk, all of them are saying that it’s perfectly fine to be overwhelmed, and that there’s a lot of pressure that can come with weddings and it’s nothing to be ashamed of if you’re too emotionally stimulated. Meanwhile the title of the episode is “dRaMaTiC wIfE hAs MENTAL BREAKDOWN IN PUBLIC!!!!!!!” and the editing has all these music stings, and zooms in on everybody’s expressions, and makes it seem more intense than it is.

6 stone is 84 lbs. so kudos to her but so many can relate to dropping sizes but still reaching for the old size. It definitely is a mental shift that some achieve the transition and others need more support to look at different stores, clothes, styles.

The very first dress is so on point with the GoT theme. I love the shape of the top part, it's original, and the dress looked gorgeous on her. She didn't like it but it was a good pick.

You were so adorable getting excited about Auntie Gok’s lace dress. I agree though, that dress was just perfect for her. It would have been tragic if she hadn’t taken it.

To any other girl feeling overwhelmed after they don't like the dresses they see: I get you, I've been there. I went to every bridal boutique in town (high and low priced), tried a variety of silhouettes, colors and finishes; this process took weeks with the reserved appointments and all. And I was already thinking that I was screwed when I found "the one" in the last possible boutique in the list. It was double the price I initially considered, but worth it; also, in a lot of places they were hellbent on convincing me that mermaid dresses are not appropriate for my body type (hourglass) and guess what - I bought a mermaid!

you could tell the first dress that the first woman wore made her neck SO red, like that had to be so irritating. she was stunning & i’ve been there where i’ve gotten super overwhelmed feeling like things i keep trying on just don’t match my expectations & i get so down on myself thinking it’s something that might be wrong with me. i hope she found a princess dress that made her feel confident!
