Good useable review Reba I would definitely get the this Jolion HEV for daily duties as charges itself, no need to look for charging spot plus it would be a perfect commuter SUV.

This car is great, love the HEV especially in white. The prices have gone down, i see them being priced from around R480k for the luxury and super luxury for around R500k

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 enjoyed you review Ms Reba. I also think that the Chinese overdid themselves in these latest Haval and they look nothing close to the older one's. Design wise inside out and with the tech they are high up there I am a pure BMW fanboy that liked BMW more than any other and I owned a BMW 520d for a long time. But this haval I could buy it and forget that there are other manufacturers due to its value for money cos these cars are fully specced from stock standard form.

Thank you for the review. Okay no Toyota, the Chinese market got my heart. With the R500k mark, I wish there was more competition from Cherry and Baic. Haval should have at least included an electric tailgate at least at this price point.

You will be glad to know that in the new versions of haval hev they took the haval name off the seats I agree that the sunroof blind should have been a blockout in like in the haval h6 U just swipe right on screen and you get your volume and other shortcuts pop up

Yup, but these guys also didn’t have the best rep initially. They did a complete brand overhaul so I think it’s working out for them.

The boot Space of the car must be compared with other Hybrids. The fire extinguisher is also because it's a hybrid in a case of a fire or else you'll lose the whole vehicle😅. My question is, would it still feel the same after the 100K mileage?

Sori but all Chinese cars come standard with fire extinguishers as a rule in that country. Hybrids are NOT known to start fire.

That’s right, by China’s law, all cars have to carry a fire extinguisher as standard, including all European cars. So when it leaves the factory, it comes with one.

Air-con controls and the volume control must not be integrated in the screen. It's a recipe for disaster, especially in South Africa. You go on gravel road or hit a terrible pothole, engwe ya di screen ae sa bereka. I wouldn't buy a car with no necessary buttons.

Pity you can’t get the basic facts right, the Jolion HEV does NOT have a 1.5 turbo engine, it uses a 1.5 normally aspirated petrol engine along with the electric motor, it is only the Jolion petrol versions and H6 HEV’s that are fitted with a 1.5 turbo petrol engine.
