After spending months researching, planning, and obtaining gear, we set out on our very first backpacking adventure to Havasupai.
We were unbelievably fortunate to get permits for this location after searching daily on the cancellation list. There were a lot of unknowns starting this journey, but thanks to friends and helpful groups online, this was a great first experience.
We hope you enjoy the adventure and for those of you who are going to embark on this trip to Havasupai, may it provide some insight as well.
Thanks for watching!

*Hi, I'm Tyler and my wife Kari and I are traveling physical therapists. We started this channel as a way to share our adventures with family and friends as we traveled the country working various assignments. It has turned into something much more, and has been a way to connect with people, share adventures, and make lasting memories. Traveling as a career was never the plan, but it found us! Having lived in 8 different states, we wanted to document and share the beauty that is the United States.*

They definitely have a lot of added benefit that you don’t realize until you use them!

Stunning scenery. A special place indeed. Agree about the trekking poles. Your knees will thank you over time. Stay away from carbon poles ( they are lighter, but with a sideways impact, they can snap in half). My favorite poles have cork handles, feels good on the hands. Cheers 🌞 🖖

Such a special place. In awe of its beauty. Thats a good tip about the hiking poles thank you. I’ve seen those but never tried them. I’ll have to look into the cork handles. Thank you.

As an avid hiker, the hiking poles also take the pressure off the shoulders from a heavy backpack Absolutely beautiful hike I’ve done that one. You guys are in my stomping area on telegraph pass If you get a chance, do the mountain goat path, if you ever return to the area

Kari said they definitely helped a lot. I will be looking to get some next hike. It was such a gorgeous hike. Oh yeah? That was such a great training hike. Ok we will. Love hearing about new trails to try. Thank you.

The mountain go path you would see when you reach the top of telegraph past where you signed the book. If you looked over to the right, there’s another path that comes up to the back end if that makes sense no pavement.

@@phaedrawhite3746ok I kind of have an idea where that would be. Will keep our eyes out for it whenever we return to that area. Awesome hike with good views though
