Synopsis:
Cheng Shao Shang is a young girl who was forced to grow up alone after most of her family had to leave to fight in a bloody war. Thus she becomes stubborn and untrusting. She fends for herself in a town populated by people like her, who have been left behind by the war.
One day, a talented and powerfu general named Ling Bu Yi comes to the town - and falls in love with her at first sight. He resolves to marry her, even though it will cause him no end of problems if he decides to pursue this union. Niao Niao is innocently cute thinking she could infiltrate a camp as well guarded by Ling Buyi’s guards! When Ling Buyi told them to kill the infiltrator and the guards saying in unison no was hilarious!

I just realised that Wu Lei and Zhao Lusi act very relaxed so as we can really forget they are acting. This way we fall in love with their characters more. It is very difficult to do and not many actors can do it even after years. For these two to have it at such a young age, truly amazing 🥰

We'll just have to create more episodes in our imaginations. But YEAH, I'm with you all. I want to see Zisheng & NiaoNiao get married. 😍 Would do the Emperor's & my heart good. ❤ And then see their little munchkins running around. I think they'd have four, just like her parents. And she may even have twins like her mother. That kind of thing runs in the genes. 🥰 What do y'all think? 🤔

It would be interesting to see a second season but based a generation or some years later, in the Palace. It would be interesting to see a Princess fall in love with a man just as complex with his secrets as General is, but managing to also link with the current families/characters of the original season. Such as the “Princess” falling in love with Niaoniao’s son or marrying into the Cheng family.

A-MEN!! But I doubt that will happen. We'll just have to create our own scenarios in our imaginations. Glad to see that back then, they had several children, instead of the one child policy the CCP put in place until recently. I wonder who's gonna be the first to have several children nowadays?
