The plaintiff says the defendant’s dog lunged at her dog, and then picked him up and carried him off. He needed stitches, so she’s suing for the cost of the vet bills. The defendant says he’s not responsible because she brought her dog to her friend’s home, and he is a tenant there with two pit bulls. He claims she left her dog unattended.

The Defendant is putting Anna in a very bad position.. Having those two Pit Bull dogs on her property is A very High Risk Liability . She could loss everything she owns because of those dogs especially if they hurt the wrong person.. It always amazes me that when someone knows their lie has been exposed, they continue to insist on the lie. It is kind of like a sailor on a sinking ship thinking it a good idea to ignore the hole in the bottom and pretend that the ship will continue to float.

Let's go back to the beginning--why do people take their dogs with them when they don't know what they're walking into? I never presume someone else wants to entertain my dog in their home, but can't tell you how many morons have visited me with the "new pup" or "Ola Agatha" in tow. At one time I owned five dogs total, and a doofus cousin was almost knocked off a high porch because she brought Little Skipper with her unannounced., I put these brainless besotteds right in there with the no-leash people. Show some sense!!!

@@js5787 Wow. I had a Great Dane and we tried out to be a therapy dog team. A lady came out in a housecoat pushing a walker and my dog growled. End of tryout. I had a second Dane who did pass but they are screened carefully. Doesn't mean they are bad dogs but children move differently and can set off the dogs prey drive.

This just proves that these dogs are at the mercy of idiot owners. A man in Houston was mauled to death and three pit bulls will lose their lives because of it. If you own any animal you owe it to them to protect them from themselves. That means vaccinations, socialization, muzzles if necessary and a secure area for them to be in. They are not disposable, they are living creatures who operate on instinct. It's never their fault, it's ours.

That tenant is a nightmare. Give him 30 day notice to get rid of dogs. Write amendment to lease that no pets are allowed. If the pets are not removed within 30 days give them a 30 day notice to vacate. It may take 2 months but then she will be rid of them. She can evict if they do not follow rules, does not matter on Covid matters. Rent parking spaces for boats or empty trailers if she needs extra money. This tenant is a jerk and has no respect for the owner.

@@tarasue4432 I am a landlord of a real rental house. I have to have insurance on my house for fire and another insurance policy for liability insurance. If I have a tenant with dogs I have to supply my insurance company with a copy of the tenants pet insurance along with proof of insurance for their personal belongings because my insurance does not pay for that. If I don't provide copy of tenants insurance policy my insurance cancels me and I have to shop for insurance which is always more expensive. Personally I would never rent a house to a person with a pit bull or any of the dogs that people say are other types but they look just like a pit. I am afraid of all dogs as I was bitten as a kid so I sure would not be renting to someone that I can't enter the house and inspect it occasionally. If people want a dog they need to buy their own house and quit complaining that no one will rent to them. I do have a dog and I don't impose her on anyone else.

If the L.lord didn't want any pets in the home or on the property, she would have put that in the month to month *handwritten* lease. It's not like she forgot with the pit bulls running around in the home and being made to "Get-Out.". I believe the defendant is telling the truth. And there I was paying my rent and car payment every single month...even when my hours were cut at work. One month I had to sell some of my stuff to come up with the rent. There's was no excuse for anyone getting that unemployment not to pay their rent.

At the 12:00 mark the plaintiff says her dog has PTSD. To help her dog she needs to take it on a daily morning walk through the neighborhood and keep the dog on a short leash making a tug correction of it trys to stop. Walk walk walk daily past other dogs large and small. The dog will have a new memory (conditioning) and be fulfilled. She should watch Cesar Millans shows.

Chiweenie, labradoodle, reminds me when mixed breed dogs were called mutts and given away because they were considered to have no value no matter how cute or wonderful they were? It's nice to see that in at least some cases people are realizing "mutts" are often the best dogs to have.

If I were the landlady and he wasn't welcome I would tell him "out" regardless of the pandemic. he would have to take me to court, either that or I would have called animal control and have the pups re-homed where they could be safe and happy and not want to attack other dogs because his owner was an idiot. Had he just paid the lady and said he was going to get training for the pups, none of this would have gone to court.

This lady could have been killed,because that pit bull,could have turned on her. The man should have tried to help,at least called the dog off. Pit bulls should be kept in enclosed areas,at all times. Why did he even bring the dog in the house,while Anna had company. He looks like he is evil. He probably brings the dog in the house,when Anna is not there. She looks like she is. in a storage unit.
