Good video and glad they gave you what you were trying to accomplish.. Side note - if you needed more adjustment you need only move the mounts closer together (even 1/4 of an inch would give more angle in adjustment)..

As a 177 aficionado I don't have these problems, zeroed at 50 yds 1 mildot hold under at 30 yds. Love your videos, just down to earth comment.

Each to his own. Rabbits fall over better with .22

Had this problem when I fitted my Yukon NV on my bantam and thought of the adjustable rings to make up for the lack of vertical movement with the digital system, and I went for the adjustable scope rail instead, less messing and it replaced the original scope rail on the gun so its a win win, scope is the height it should be and so much more movement so I could centre the scopes adjustment and be right on for say 30 yds (or anything you like) and have the scopes natural movement from there, and it was only 22 squid from Hawk. I chose the picatinny for a more solid performance if I should take the NV scope off and put the day scope on the zero won't have changed, less again to go wrong as long as you use the stops on the rail the same every time. but yes the .177 which mine is, benefits way more than a .22 with this system. Thanks for sharing. atb phil. EDIT If you are running out of clicks with a day scope its usually 3 things that could be wrong, the scope, the dove tails are not concentric or barrel droop, its worth looking into.

I was having same sot of problem ran out of height elevation , so had to shim it, it did the job, quick fix , but wasnt happy having to do that, so i bought a nother scope, just got to sort it out and get it zeroed in, thanks for the info Hunter, Cheers

No probs Casper, as long as you don't have to shim it too thick or you could crimp your scope when you tighten down, but yes used camera film in the past to shim, its an excellent medium.

As a tight B, I would use the adjustable on the rear and a standard on the front, giving 2 scopes capability. A bit of tape on the front std mount would take up any angular slack.

I hope you don't have an expensive scope.

I’m using a hw77 springer, with high power spring. I can’t tighten these mounts enough, the recoil always makes the front mount rise up. 😩

I have a pair of eaglevision on my impact 25 cal, but these hawke ones are half the price so gonna get a set for my airwolf 22. Good video, have you considered fac for a little flatter shooting saving you a couple mildots.

Given the MTC Viper Pro 3-18x50 has an elevation of 73-MOA compared to 42-MOA on the Viper Pro 5-30x50, then would the MTC Viper Pro 3-18x50 not be a better option?
@airgunsandstuffyorkshire2694 жыл бұрын
I use the 30x zoom for field target. More zoom is better for ranging targets.
@MrRockstar19684 жыл бұрын
@@airgunsandstuffyorkshire269 Yeah I guess more zoom is better for any shooing really. Have you heard of or considered an adjustable scope base? heritage-arms.com/product-category/gun-parts/cold-shot-llc-adjustable-scope-bases/

It's a fact that when using focus to range it is more accurate with a higher zoom. Feel free to make a vid about what u are on about and tag me in it. Safe. Cya bye
